Front office staff is friendly, the technicians are wonderful and caring, the Drs really take their time and listen to you. Everyone is compassionate and kind. I recently lost my sweet cat of 14 years and while the experience itself was sad, the staff made it more bearable. During his last year, they always made sure he was seen when he got sick, even when it was near closing time. They just really care about your pet. Thank you for everything.

DR B and staff have taken good care of our 2 dogs over several years. Our current dog; Lucy our rescue Beagle, enjoys the staff and the attention she receives from them.

We love this office! Its always busy, as clearly every other pet parent in Viera does as well! They ALWAYS answer the phone, offer curbside technician appointments if necessary, and got my dog in for a same day emergency surgery. Everyone from the techs to the receptionists and vets are always friendly, compassionate, and never trying to sell you on anything unnecessary. The fees are very reasonable and both of our dogs have been treated wonderfully. 10/10 recommend for both preventative and emergency care!

My dog became ill and it was Saturday. I called the office and told them my dog was ill they were very patient and listened to me as I explained his symptoms. The person on the phone told me that they were closing soon but if I was to leave my house right then they would not close but would wait for me. When I got there with my dog they were very professional and took such good care of him, I feel so blessed to have a vet I can go to where they go out of their way to take care of our animals thank you so much!

Very kind and considerate. They arent trying to charge you an arm and a leg. Was a quick and efficient visit. The staff was great. Highly recommended.

Brought our new puppy over to get established with a vet. We are newer to the area and are so glad we came across Island Animal Hosptial at Viera. They were clean, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Everyone made me feel comfortable enough to ask any and all questions.

Great first appointment getting established with our Chocolate Lab. Appointments are several weeks out so make sure you plan for that when needing an appointment. Morgan was our Tech and Dr. Danford (Viera officewas the vet we saw. Both very through and answered all my questions. No one was in a rush. We’ve tried other Vets in the area but this will now be our home.

How DARE you claim that my sons review on here is inaccurate and deny the fact that you did everything you could to save my dogs life or even attempted to?!!! THAT IS A BOLDFACE LIE!!! My dog had been vomiting for 2 days and they took her in the back without my presence due to their COVID rules. Then the physician came outside to tell me when they flipped her over to do the X-ray and her eyes rolled back, stopped breathing then intubated her...not once but twice!!! I’ve never heard a dog go into respiratory distress after being”flipped over” for an X-ray!!! How does that even happen?!! The physician told me her X-ray was normal. The fact is, that the physician was incompetent with her decision making and TOLD ME she had NO IDEA what was wrong with my dog and failed to treat her now then critical symptoms. Then had the audacity to tell me she couldn’t treat her and and for me to take her to the emergency animal hospital by Viera Blvd after she was seen and now in respiratory distress to near death! This is NOT emergency care!!! I knew deep down that it was extremely wrong for her to ask me to drive her there knowing she might not make it alive and the physician knew it as well and even told me this!!....how can an emergency physician fail to provide emergency care that she advertises?!! How can I transport my dog without portable oxygen (which they don’t have that she needed to stay alive to get her there?!! The doctor’s response was ”just blow my AC on her”. Since you advertise emergency services, why did you not follow emergency care for my dog, and didn’t follow through with keeping her stable?!...she was so critical that I ran every red light and sped to get her to the emergency hospital since the physician stated she can no longer do anything and recommended I take her there. Initially she was mildly ill to worse to critical to almost dead and by the time I drove her to the emergency animal hospital she passed away in my car seat on arrival. I blame myself for not driving there fast enough and taking her to this vet office in the first place. My entire family and I are still in emotional distress over her death. I highly recommend you NOT take your pet here for any pet care! My dog would’ve still been alive and well if she was treated by competent skilled professionals. In addition, not only did they not show compassion, they charged me $432 that was not worthy of their efforts to save her. Don’t be fooled by their ratings and their competencies!

I walked in to this vet office on accident (thought it was the emergency vetwhen my dog tore a ligament in her back leg. They were so kind and fit me in even though they were busy. The vet tech Ronna was a life saver and absolutely blew me away with her kindness. This may become my new vet! Thank you.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. The vets are compassionate and considerate of costs when it comes to care. Offer alternatives and cost saving ideas that are effective. Thats hard to find nowadays and grateful for a group like Island Animal Hospital.

Beware! I brought my dog to Island Animal hospital because she was rubbing the one side of her face in the grass plus she was moving her mouth around in a very odd way. The Dr Gaudry diagnosis has having allergies. After several weeks on the allergies medicine She was still rubbing her and making unusual movement with her mouth. The next vet we saw Dr Birbeck he said she need a dental, $600 later she and all she had was loose tooth. I called and said the problem still wasn’t resolved,I called and was told Dr Birbeck would call in some time during the week, never got a call back. Call 2 more times that week never a call.When I called the 3rd time the vet tech stated there was no record that I had called at all! After that I NEVER heard from them again. After hundreds of thousands of dollars later, nothing.Never Every heard back from them! I took her to another vet hospital they diagnosed her with cancer and with X-ray they discovered a large carcinoma. Choose and animal hospital!

We always experience outstanding customer service at Island Animal Hospital at Viera. The staff listens to our questions and concerns, thus providing solutions that fits the needs of our dog. We especially feel the most comfort in working with Jason, veterinarian tech, when we bring in Pepper, our senior dog. Jason spends the exta time, giving us his undivided attention to listen to her current behaviors and medical needs. He answers any and all questions. He updates the doctor regarding all of our concerns and provides our dog with the specific care that best fits her needs. Jason demonstrates that he truly cares and is compassionate towards Pepper. Very kind and knowledgeable. Stay late, bump schedules when necessary to help their patients get emergency issues seen. We take all our animals here only. Job taken seriously even when the pet is as small and frail as an elderly mouse.This place will go the extra mile and be there when your pet is in need.

I have an aggressive 2 year old venal Rottweiler and the staff at Island Animal are exceptional with her. I stay in my vehicle. My rottie has been given excellent health care. They are very responsive to any concern I have.

I started taking my pup to Island Animal Hospital at Viera in August and they have always been pleasant and direct. I find that appointments are usually available for routine things. Techs are sweet and caring.

Love the technician Jason. He has been great with Muffin n answers all my questions. The ladies at the front desk show Muffin so much love n make us feel welcome. The Vets are kind n considerate.

Our senior kitty, Cici (Love bughas been seen at Island Animal Hospital formany years. Dr. Birkbeck is the BEST! He is always so kind to our kitty while in the exam room. He is very thorough and so friendly. We always feel that our kitty’s health and wellness in in great hands with Island vet. The technicians always do a great job when we bring Love bug in for her nail trims as well. Extra kudos to Kory. Who we have dealt with for years as well. Took my grandsons leopard gecko in for initial visit due to problems the reptile was having. They were extremely knowledgeable and gave us a wellness plan. We just dont have enough positive things to do say about this animal hospital. Thank all of you for being so kind and caring.

So happy we gave this place a try! They got me in for an appointment the same day and even called to offer me an earlier time because of a cancellation. Both the tech and the doctor were so very sweet with our dog (who hates the vetI couldn’t believe how well she behaved. The staff at Island Animal are so stellar, at one point- we moved over an hour away and still drove out to see them- even for a 5 min nail clipping! We have two rescue chihuahuas, who can be rather delicate & usually very scared and anxious, but at the vet they have really opened up & learned to trust and love the staff. It’s truly a miracle. But it shows- that just by being kind hearted towards animals & patient- it goes a long way. We are so so thankful for the care our babies receive from everyone there. It’s such a wonderful & refreshing piece of mind. They are also extremely accommodating! We’ve run into so many instances where the babies needed care in the same day-and Kory and Alexis always find a way to squeeze them in. Every vet is fantastic & extremely thorough with each Visit. We can’t thank the staff enough for their ongoing efforts to make sure our pets are healthy & happy. These pups are our everything, and deserve the best- aka Island Animal:)

Had a great run with our Lola.......Near the end of her life we needed a professional to help us navigate through multiple issues , mainly seizures...........Dr Gaudry and the assistants were there to the end..Very peaceful and no more pain for our loved one. We were given the facts and reality left us with no choice after all other options had been exhausted....Thank you for the compassion and humane services Dr. Gaudry and Staff.

We moved here at the beginning of covid and Island Animal Hospital wasn’t allowing anyone inside with their pets, which was very irritating.Now, Oct of 2021, our Dalmatian had bladder stones and needed immediate surgery.They are now allowing you in the hospital and it was wonderful.Staff was incredibly and doctor was outstanding!Very caring and friendly and even under the circumstances, enjoyed our visit and being able to go inside.Highly recommended!

This is the best animal clinic I have ever experienced! From the front to the back. They greet you and are really concerned about your pet and reassuring and knowledgeable the hold step of the way. Elaine the assistance spent a lot of time with us (me and kitty); and Kitty was relaxed, playful ; portraying a very confident demeanor! I guess she knew she was in the right place. When the Doctor came in she was patient, and got right to the point, evaluating all data and wrote the prescriptions, gave me instructions and I left the happiest new kitten Mommy in the world...extremely happy to find such a place!

Quick and easy to check in when you arrive from car. Technician Taylor was great, super friendly and knowledgeable and great follow through on everything. Made me and my girl very comfortable for our first visit and glad we choose them. Dr. Gaudrey is great too, very relaxed and attentive to dogs needs. Would definetly recommend for services!

Moved here 2 years ago and left a great veterinarian in Deland so we had to look elsewhere. So glad we found Island Animal Hospital! They are very professional and get you in for an appointment in a timely manner. The staff is great with my 2 dogs. They don’t try to sell you on anything and give great advice. Their staff were amazing! They were friendly, informative, and so accommodating. My dog needed to be seen ASAP this morning, I called and they said to bring her in as soon as I could. Gerry was our tech, and he was truly awesome. He answered all of my questions and was super understanding of my dogs sometimes not so great temperament. I don’t remember the vets name but she was fantastic as well! She updated me while she worked on my dog, and came back in to let me know what to watch for. We were in and out, very reasonably priced, and I will definitely be taking my pup back to them for future care. Thanks again Island Animal Hospital!

My doggo woke the other morning with symptoms of a urinary tract infection. Peeing blood and frequency and not eating. My regular vet was booked and could not get me in so I started calling around. Island Animal got us in that afternoon and the treatment my princess and I received was wonderful. The tech was amazing and had my baby loving him quickly. The doctor was very informative, professional and kind. My baby was so dehydrated she could not get a urine specimen. So a bolus of fluids and home with antibiotics. Within the hour of receiving the fluids she was able to eat. After 1 dose of antibiotics she woke with her typical spoiled demeanor. I definitely recommend the Island Animal Hospital on Stadium Parkway.

my 16 month old pit bull had eaten his KONG toy and was throwing up and very lethargic. I took him to Island Animal Hospital in Viera and I cant say enough good things about the way he was treated and how I was treated. He ended up needing surgery to remove the piece of toy stuck in his intestines. Sad situation but it was such a wonderful experience from beginning being greeted by Kory up front to the end, getting a phone call from Dr. Coris on his status and and how the surgery went. So professional, so kind, so compassionate, so caring. I will never take my pittie or golden doodle anywhere else.

Our English Bulldog Archie had developed a rash on his stomach and it wasn’t going away. We had a previous Vet and we were not happy with the care so thus we ended up at Island Animal Hospital based on a friend’s recommendation. They got us in on the same day and Archie is now healing well from the rash so the diagnosis was accurate. The front staff was so helpful, kind and responsive. We will definitely be taking our two dogs here from now on! Very happy with the service and the care!

They are wonderful. They have cared for my dogs for five years. Brought my 14 year old 7 lb poodle into be checked, very frightened i could lose her. The staff and vets are compassionate and understanding. They did some blood work ... checked her throughly ... no sign that she is ill ... just aging. Dr. Birkbeck is the best!

I called IVH Viera after asking for recommendations in the local FB neighborhood group looking for a new doctor to get a second opinion on my exotic pet. They were able to schedule me in in less then a week and Dr G addressed my concerns and my pets health fully. My pet is currently undergoing more testing that was not addressed by our previous animal hospital. My little buddy is being diagnosed and treated for exactly what’s wrong and I couldn’t be happier. Also our intake nurse was the best! He couldn’t get enough of my pet! The phone staff was great too. I feel Buck and I have found a great doctor and staff for his and my other two boys care.

My dogs have been patients of Island Animal Hospital in Viera for over 9 years. Everyonr,from the front desk to the back are very professional and friendly. They have compassion for our fur babies and patience for us. They make you feel very comfortable and are open to questions we may have. I left a vet office because I sensed and felt that particular office had no compassion and if they did not display a caring attitude to my baby how could I trust them when I wasnt there. COMPASSION is very key for me and Island Hospital are AWESOME!

Wonderful doctors and staff. Dr Birckbeck is very nice and always makes me feel better when I am nervous about my dogs visit. He isnt an alarmist like some vets and usually tries conservative treatments first and in my dogs instances these treatments worked, every time!

Dr. Ian and technician Sharleen were great! Their caring, compassionate manner and patience with all our questions was greatly appreciated! They were very busy but still gave us our time and clearly understood what was important to us. We arrived with not 1 but 2 Havapoos, one 15-month-old female and one barely 12 week old male. Both needed vaccines and a head to toe check. They were very thorough with everything and extremely Covid safe. We highly recommend Island Animal Hospital in Viera, not only for this experience but every time I call or email, all the staff is polite, patient and extremely responsive.

Dr Gaudry is extremely compassionate and caring. I can not say enough about my personal experience with them. Every interaction with different staff showed kindness and courtesy to my family and my special pup. Dr G performed some risky procedures perfectly and worked well with me and explained my options thoroughly. What a wonderful veterinarian! I thank her from the bottom of my heart for her professionalism and compassion. We will soon be picking up her paw print which made me feel better.

We recently changed veterinarians. We were so happy to find someone who cared for our White Bellied Caique companion as we do. I have noticed the same love and concern for all companion animals that visit Island Animal Hospital. This means the world to us. Business hours including weekends are very accommodating. To make an appointment the day before is consistently easy and helps with our busy schedule without compromising the health or safety of our parrot. I highly recommend Island Animal Hospital for all of your companions needs, both for check ups and emergency care.

Took my new-to-me six yr old, rather nutty Jack Russell, Cody, in for his first check up. Frank was very helpful and Dr. Birkbeck is as always, more than willing to answer any and all questions. Great place!Edit 1017 18: OK, had to take Cody in to see Dr. Birkbeck this morning. Seems I could only find about half of the new tennis ball my G/F gave to Cody. Long story short, whereever the ball went, it wasnt currently in my dog. The staff here is the greatest. Very thorough. Very communicative. All it takes is a few moments to know you are with dog lovers here.
