Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in New Castle County

Took off early from work to get to my appointment, no one was at the office. They filed my taxes wrong so this is my 4th visit. Also it cost about $550 and they still didn’t do it right. Just go somewhere else…

I wasnt happy at all im blame for it the person that usually doo my taxes was off should waited and came in day she was working but now I wasnt happy one bitt.

Jackson Hewitt was very helpful and convenient I had several questions and they answered all questions. If you havent filed with anyone I highly recommend filing with Jackson Hewitt

I brought my 2019 taxes in at the end of 2019 because I was retiring to Costa Rica. I didnt have all my W2s but knew I would be back before the filing deadline to provide them. I paid for my service in full at that time.As a result of the pandemic, the borders were shut down in Costa Rica from mid March to August 1st and I couldnt leave.During that period of time I contacted Jackson Hewitt by phone and email to advise that I was still unable to provide my W2s because I couldnt get back home to the USA.I was finally able to leave in late August, found my W2s and sent them to this office electronically.I followed up they received them and guaranteed that they would be filed ASAP. My return amount was small but I trusted that they would file them but they never did.Everytime I called or sent them an email they guaranteed me that my taxes had been filed and I should call the IRS because they did their job by submitting.I made 10 international calls to the IRS and, of course, they were so busy I was unable to reach them. I finally decided to call the Delaware Department of Taxation who advised me that they never received a tax filing from me for 2019. I believe this was early January.I called the Jackson Hewitt National line because I figured they would be helpful. They told me there was a glitch in the system and, unfortunately, my taxes were never submitted but they would file them once the IRS was accepting returns again, in mid February.Why wasnt I informed about this glitch?They offered me a $50 gift card, to shop with which is not acceptable. I paid them $80 in cash money and they didnt do their job or even have the common decency to contact me and advise there was a glitch. They knew about it. I want my $80 cash back.The National office started providing ultimatums....either you take this gift card or the case is closed, we only refund the cost of filing when we make an error in the information on your tax forms.Isnt it an error when you DONT file my taxes and I need to do the research and then call you back to advise that YOU NEVER SUBMITTED MY TAX RETURNS.I want my $80 back, they did not do their job. I followed through on my end of the deal but they didnt.Very shady company with policies that serve their own needs. Not to be trusted!

Very long process, not very confident in their services as I cant check my refund status with the info they provided. The refund card is a scam.

We have gone to "Jennette " for several years now. She has been a wealth of knowledge, is very personable, efficient and were glad to have access to her with Jackson-Hewitt.

I have been going to Jeanett for years for my taxes-- she is one of the most caring and professional business people I have had the pleasure of working with. Tax preparation can be so stressful - Jeanett has, every year, made doing my taxes much less worrisome.

Don’t go here! They’re rude! They say you’ll get your taxes back soon then you do I paid them over $300 and when I call to speak with some one they act like your a bother! Janet Roberts who’s supposedly the owner there hung up on me she was very rude! I been a customer for about 4-5 years! I will never go to Jackson Hewitt again!

I went today on a promise of getti g a pain from them to do my taxes and of course I was denied from the lender. So, moral if the story is I could have done my taxes for free but needed the money advance so I pretty much just paid them to do nothing. Will not refer no one ever.
