Rented band instrument for child. Friendly and helpfulUPDATE 2/20/21 According to website store is not open except by appointment. Need to update Google listing with new hours so someone doesnt drive up here expecting to drop off an instrument for repair.
I drove 25 min over here because their Google presence says they are open. They are NOT. They say they closed their retail store in July 2019. They say they submitted the request to show the closure on Google. Jireh said Google has been dragging their feet for nine months.My money is on Google not having received a request. I have requested an investigation. We will see.
It said it would close on Saturday from 10am-2pm I showed up at 1:20 and they were closed I drove 5.5 miles just so it can be closed. When I called customer service they didn’t answer.
Customer service is lack luster at its best. I should of went to Ken Stanton instead of giving tthis place money.

My Heritage Les Paul Custom guitar needed to be set up again, needed to have it done for some time. But when you pay 2300 for your instrument, your wary of who you give it to. Which is why I havent had it set up since I bought it in 2007. So I took it to Jireh music just for a look see. talked to Zak, he said he did the set ups and has never had a complaint, he seemed like kind person so I took a chance and left it with him. Panicking all the way back home. Well a couple of days later Zak called and said it was done. I gotta say he did an awesome job. I got my Paul back set up perfectly. Nuff Said!

They sell many used gears. You have to be careful to pick what you buy. They have instruments for rental too. We came in on new year Eve and the employee was not a happy person. He was not rude but he was not nice either. We didnt feel welcome at the store.

Kinda rude. I needed some connectors for speaker wiring and a bass drum. They didnt have either and said they had no idea where to get either item. LOL. I guess the lady trying to sell the stolen guitar was more important.
Great place to rent stuff for your next event. I mostly deal with Zach but the rest of the crew is great and also very helpful. I would rent from anywhere else.
Pro sound, but I dont know about his prices. Excellent stock of repair parts. 99% of the instruments are beginner grade or junk, but if you find that one gem, you can get a good deal.

Ive brought two guitars into this place the latest a very softly used Ibanez AS80 ArtStar. The guy working there offered me $125 for it...LOLEverywhere online had them for no less than 500, used. I get that they have to make money… But dont be insulting to proficient musicians.I also brought a Korg Triton keyboard in for them to fix, and when I got it back this scroller was all jacked up and skipping over patches.They did however run a sound gig for me about three years ago that was excellent. However, there are in store instruments and equipment are simply just way overpriced.

I have been buying used equipment from this store and i have not had a problem with anything til this day, Im a youth leader at my church and i have to be on a budget to buy cables, stands and mics etc. and Jireh have made it possible for me and my youth group to have what we need, thank you for the wonderful service and help every time i go in the store

I dont understand why I have to have an original invoice if I have a buy back agreement that CLEARLY states how much I paid for it originally WITH AN INVOICE NUMBER. I understand you need the original invoice to look up what I paid for, but its 2015, you have a computer and I have the invoice number... how hard would it be for you to look it up??? Who keeps up with all this paperwork anymore at this day in age? And what do you mean you will give me FAIR MARKET value for it? You didnt sell it to me at fair market value. You sold it to me USED for $300 when fair market value was $100 so dont be telling me you need to make sure you make the money back because looks like to me you already made $200 off of me. Never ever again!
These guys are great, really. I was a little disappointed at my last visit due to their lack of video product. I was told at the beginning of the year that they would start carrying MORE not LESS videography product. Was looking forward to not having to drive to Showcase... Ive purchased a few things from them in the past but unfortunately the mics and field mixers I use for film/video are cheaper elsewhere so future visits will be few and far between. HEY if you guys are watching your reviews - Youre missing out on a helluva market in Gwinnett. If you spread the word for video product like you do for audio youd have some loyal customers whod even be willing to pay a little extra just to not drive to Atlanta!
This isnt a complaint, but a retelling of my experience with Jireh. You should take it for what its worth and make your own mind up about who you patronize.I needed to rent some equipment overnight and was tempted to try these guys out since they are only 15 minutes from my home. Not only are they convenient for me, but I wanted to support a local business - not a chain. This was intended to be an overnight rental that involved 3rd party payment. I was going to just do the pick up and drop off, since this was a not-for profit event and I was offering my deejay services for free. Fortunate for some, but unfortunate for me, the shop isnt open on Sunday, so I had to keep the equipment in my garage until Monday, with an expected return by 11am...Tricky for those of us with less than flexible 8-5pm weekday jobs.Through no fault of Jirehs, the extra day through me off and I simply forgot to load the two speakers in my car to transport to my office on Monday. I remembered about the equipment at 3:30pm and called Jireh immediately to let them know of my mistake. I offered to have them back by 6pm after I returned home from work and loaded up. The manager was quite unforgiving and told me that I would be charged a 2nd full days rental, even though this would only be about 7 additional hours out of 24 (less than 1/3). I asked if he could pro-rate the fees and I would be glad to pay for the additional hours, but he said that "wasnt how we operate".To his credit, he eventually took off 22%, but considering the amount of revenue they COULD have potentially made from my future rentals, why he didnt agree to charge me for the overage based upon a per hour rate, is baffling. I was told after inquiring upon arrival that the equipment had not been booked from 11am to 6pm on Monday, which means they didnt lose any revenue from my late return. There only existed the POTENTIAL to rent the same equipment out, and for this, I would have to be charged another day.They guy who checked me in was very kind, friendly and seemed to understand my cause, but made mention that he was under orders from his manager (who wasnt present at the timeto charge me accordingly. He was a good guy.Its unfortunately that some businesses in these times must scrape the barrel for every penny either because they are sharks or just to survive another day. Not too sure where Jireh fits in, but as an independent DJ, I really do get "it", but... long money is much better than short term profit. Good customer service and flexibility with policy, ensures returning customers, positive referrals and greater income.
