Amazing place. We were even lucky enough to get a tour inside!! So beautiful and glad the history is being preserved.
Beautiful park, neat history behind it.
Beautiful scenery. Nice place for a picnic or family photos
The park needs volunteers/ more donations.I don’t agree on the new no-dogs policy, as long as they are contained on a leash, and you pick up waste/ trash….Grew up coming out here! With my Father over 20 years ago.Definitely have a a lot of ideas to boost visitors. Clean up the old bridge, have a dozen 30/50 amp camping hookups/ as well as tent camping. First come, first serve!
Its a beautiful place. We loved it and so did our granddaughters!
I love those place. Just beautiful.
Beautiful and peaceful. Everyone should visit!
The best place to Relax and be with family. Plus learn History.
A lovely park with beautiful sites and lots of room to picnic and let the kiddos play.
Beautiful place and well maintained, admission is $5 per car. A lovely place for a swim or leisurely walk.
A beautiful park! Wonderful walking paths. I loved the messages from donors on bench & signs saying please find peace and rest here. Great playgrounds and interesting historical markers. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice, historical, clean family friendly place to visit. A real breath of fresh air.
This is one of the most serene and beautiful places I’ve seen in this state. The attention to preservation and beauty its caretakers have applied to this property is fantastic. It felt so peaceful; I wanted to stay forever.Be wary of snakes near the spill. I nearly gave up the ghost when I peeked over and seen a snake looking back.
What a great place! There are picnic tables, sheltered, foot bridges, LOTS of photo ops. It is beautiful. We just happened to stop on a day they were milling corn. The family was very knowledgeable , answered any question, allowed the children an up close view. They passed out bags of fresh ground cornmeal after the demo!! Oh, with a recipe for fresh cornbread. 😋I would go back anytime!
Gorgeous park setting, very picturesque, great memories there as a young child with my father.
Beautiful place to come and relax. Great scenery and wildlife! Picnic tables and BBQ grills available. Restrooms were clean!
Comes up as park on maps. (Most parks are free.)I did not come here knowing that there was going to be a fee. Thats a bit of a drive to find out.Yet, there was a conservation area across the hw and I had enjoyed that instead. Just wanted some nature to enjoy in the first place. 😊
Well maintained place with beautiful views. History in many ways. Local people stories of struggles and successes. Great place to visit. A friend of mine told the story that he proposed to his wife there by putting a ring on the end of a fishing pole line and asking her to help him reel in a big one. She said yes.
Visited here in 2020, its a very pretty area.
Beautiful state park, a couple of play grounds. The mill itself is really beautiful
Great place and peaceful I love it there and it isnt to expensive to have some family fun
Sure enjoyed our visit to Beautiful Jolly Mill Park! Thank you for preserving the rich history! A step back to where my Hawkins ancestors lived on Capps creek according to the 1860 census. During our visit, A local shared about the old church and cemetery, so we visited there too. We did locate Hawkins headstones and a tried to find the Hawkins spring nearby. It popped up on Google maps to our surprise! Look forward to coming back to a Saturday when the Jolly Mill is operating. 💙
Even the womens bathroom was clean!! This is a plus for me when you go to nature parks like this!! We had an absolute blast with the children and mothers!! The staff is also friendly, especially with reservations! This place created so many memories!! Go get some there now!!
This place was very beautiful and relaxing. Lots of shaded areas to have picnics and listen to the river flow. There is a lot of history here and if you walk through the park you can read all about it.
Cute place! Perfect for families!
Great place to have a picnic, and its not too moist. There is plenty of parking, and enough tables for most families.
This place was absolutely beautiful glad me and my kid went and checked it out will be back .
Very fun historical place to visit. Lots of activities and fun for all ages. We will definitely be coming back. There is a small fee but well worth the cost.
Jolly Mill was the perfect place for a cold fall day. My boyfriend, the kids and I ended up headed here when we made a wrong turn after changing our minds about a corn maze due to cold. We spend a good hour here walking around, taking photos and just having a wonderful time. I feel like it turned out even better than the corn maze.
Really nice, very large park. Plenty of picnic areas, fishing spots and open fields. Public restroom. Historic.
Beautiful place!! Would love to experience it in Spring, Summer, and Winter months too!!
Beautiful and peaceful! Recommend for family picnics and other get-togethers Plus fishing and just enjoying nature.
Beautiful place. There are places for picnicking with covered areas. We did not know ahead of time that there was a fee we hardly ever carry cash but were able to find 5 ones.
Absolutely beautiful area hidden away in the hillside. Love hearing the babbling brook and the rushing waterfall. The bridges and the pavillion are so quaint. My daughter really enjoyed the little old playground. It looked like they also had a newer playground but it was not open for public access yet when we went.
This was a great place to picnic and splash in the creek. The restrooms were very clean! The mill runs on the first Saturday of the month (April-October). There are paths for walking. Some other patrons were fishing. The whole experience was well worth the $5 admission fee.
So beautiful and serene out here. Great spot for pictures
Jolly Mills is a beautiful location! Perfect for pictures of any kind. The park is fun for all ages. Great location for picnics and family outings. 5.00 a day/per car. No animals or alcohol allowed.
Love Jolly Mill, been coming here since I was a little girl. It’s a nice retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle!
Beautiful, peaceful serene park.
This place is beautiful! My kids and I walked around for about an hour and a half and never got close to being bored. The water was crystal clear and cold. The pavilions would be perfect for family gatherings. It was peaceful and wonderful and were definitely going back!
This is a beautiful place. Why there werent more pictures to show...but there is now. It says they run it or open it from 2- midnight the first sat a month. They now charge $5 bring cash to come. Check it out and trout fish!
This park is a hidden gem! Beautiful scenery, a preserved old settlers mill, a pavilion and no pressure fishing. Parking fee $5.00.
It was very well kept park. Aside from some people having too good a time, and leaving alot of trash, and empty beer cans laying around, which we picked up and disposed of. It was a very nice place to stop and stretch or legs. We will go back this fall, and try or hand at some fly fishing.
A hidden jewel that needs more visitors! Hubby heard about this place from a former co-worker, via FB. So our Easter Sunday drive brought us here. 2,000 steps, lots of pictures, and a feeling of peace later, I am so glad we came. Please consider helping support the Foundation that maintains this private treasure.
Got to enjoy my first time here with lots of family on a Sunday funday! I was just amazed at how beautiful it is, and how well kept they manage to keep it. A perfect place for a family reunion, picnic, or even a place to go to by yourself during the spring/summer time with a book to read and/or just enjoy the peace and serenity.
Great place to spend the day, trout fishing, picnic, BBQ, etc. The mill makes an excellent rustic photo opportunity and Ive seen many weddings there. Its privately owned and requires a $5.00/day entry fee, but they do have an annual pass if youd plan on making more trips. They do have running water restroom facilities. Hourly recommended!!
Jolly mill is a beautiful place to see. The gardens are wonderful & the children live playing in the small Creek, adults as well. Wonderful pick Nick area. Disappointed the actual mill is not open. Probably wont go out of my way to go there again. Too many other wonderful places to see in these four state area
Conservatory of the Ozarks music students enjoyed performing at the 10th Annual Pierce City Arts Festival held at Jolly Mill in April 2018.The park is surrounded by a lovely natural vistas. The old buildings are interesting and historic. It seems like a really nice place to spend an afternoon if you dont mind paying the $5 entry fee. When I was a kid we could get in for free and we would go play in the creek. Watch out for copperheads!
Family favorite place......all 4 seasons!
If youve never been than you must make it a day trip. Bring the kids and the grandparents.Open grills on site so bring the charcoal or pack a lunch. Please pay $5 for parking on the honor system and pick-up after yourselves. Id hate for my family to lose access to this lill piece of Heaven.
