This is a fun place to visit. They allow you to dip into the water and wash your hands and face. You also get an up close view of Israel since it is about 20 feet across the water. Like several other sites in Jordan, bring water and sunscreen.

Its a faithful place where you can touch the glory of history. You can take a bottle of water from the river that has been blessed by Jesuss baptism. Also, you can visit it from the Israeli border side..... Be careful to high temperature, especially in the summer.

located in the Jordan, the Jordan River is a river that borders and serves as the natural border between the West Bank and the State of Israel.religious prophecies teach us that this is where Jesus Christ was baptized.It were one of the healthiest places in the world. To be baptized in the same river as Jesus Christ of Nazareth is a dream that not everyone can afford.

Near by area is desert and the river miraculously situated there. The place is a holy place and worth to pay a visit.

Baptismal point in the south of see of gallelie. Beautiful seren and spiritual. Dont miss the dates store in kibbutz kinnerret just 500 meters up the hill

Beautiful nature, nice place to have a picnic or open a tent and stay for a night. Getting into the water is a bit complicated, so find a good spot for it. Keep it clean! ;)

The water is cold, very nice for summer with small children.

Man you will like the place.I can say about it its a Holy place.....Why im saying that thousands even more of people visit this place daily,,,,,,,,,You see people coming to Baptize, you can feel like you covered around you with angels, the people get baptize they wear white.......Soooo amazing.

Got baptized here and it was a great experience. Came here with a large group and we got here during lunchtime so there was no crowd. Large parking space and large area to walk in.

This country worths to visit. Full country is touristic attractions but things are not really taken care. Need more involvement in developing tourism and more comfort for tourists. I was in winter and i really felt regret. Try warmer seasons

An extraordinary visit. Incredible to share the very place Jesus crossed.

This is such a privilege to visit this place. The is the place John the Baptist was baptizing people and where Jesus came to. When you arrive you can pay 12JD and every 30 min a bus will take you to the site. It is about a 45 minute trip with some decent amount of walking. You can get Baptised there if you have a priest or minister. Definitely worth visiting this place if you can.

Want to go to the baptism site but its closed.

It used to be a rapid flowing river because of the steep declination to the dead Sea. Unfortunately now days, its almost still and polluted. The river has a religious reference, as the place where John the Baptist had baptized our Lord Jesus in it.

Beautiful historical spot where Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan by his cousin John The Baptist. Visitors can adorn while robes and get baptized just like Jesus. Great gift shop with local and religious goods and souvenirs.

Even though its not the cleanest place, it still is worth a visit! Coming here to get baptized is a great privilege, something you will never forget.

Jordan river is a great historical place where Jesus Christ the son of God was baptised by John the Baptist. When Jesus Christ was baptised the Heavens were open to him and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon him. Suddenly a voice came from Heaven saying "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased." Taking baptism here is considered to be spiritual in starting a new life to bear fruits worthy of repentance. So now, It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. Matthew 3:13-17
