Juniper Bookkeeping in Boulder County
Privilege
If I could give a negative star I would. This place almost killed my grandma due to lack of communication and inaccurate care given. Today our family had to make the choice ourselves to send my grandma to the hospital because she had pneumonia while nurses and directors made excuses and didnt do what was needed to give her proper treatment. Thank God the hospital is just across the street. We have had several meetings, calls and made complaints about the lack of care given to grandma. Our concerns are usually met with the staff making excuses or blaming others for not doing their job properly. On several occasions they messed up her medications and had our own personal caregivers not caught the error she could have been overdosed. They are consistently understaffed so residents are often left unattended or locked in their rooms or houses without protective supervision. They dont check on the residents during the overnight so we had to hire caregivers to stay with grandma for 24 hrs to make sure she is getting proper care. They dont clean her room, the one time we had a lapse in our schedule for an hour and grandma was left with care staff at Juniper Village she was left unattended and was injured. Nurses consistently only offer excuses rather than solutions to the many concerns and complaints we have made. Since we have to get 24 hour care for grandma Juniper wont even reduce the price claiming she is at a higher level of care. My grandma could have gotten much worse today had we not made the decision ourselves to take her to the hospital despite nurses excuses and lack of care. Do not send your family here. They will paint a beautiful picture of care but in reality this place is full of neglect and excuses when concerns are addressed. State needs to investigate this place before someone actually dies due to negligence.
MoreThe environment is so caring, they are always go above and beyond for the residents.
MoreAmazing staff that cares tremendously about there customers. Residents seem truly happy.
MoreJuniper Village is a wonderful memory care community that strives every day to provide great care to its residents. Their objectives are achieved through innovative programs targeted to improving the mental health of each resident; with a focus on keeping them engaged in activities, other residents and their families as much as possible.
MoreI have been visiting Juniper weekly for over four years now to share music with the residents. (except during the recent lockdown.). I have always been impressed by the compassion and expert card shown by the staff. Each resident is treated respectfully as an individual. The residence is organized as four houses with common indoor and outdoor secure areas. I hope the residents enjoy my visits as much as I enjoy being there with them.
MoreThe year previous to Covid Maisie and I, as a volunteer therapy dog team, visited Juniper Village weekly interacting with residents and staff and observing the organizations culture and processes. My conclusions based on experiences (former university professor focusing on leadership and organizational behaviorare this is a well managed and positive functioning organization. The staff is obviously focused on the residents and the residents behaviors show they are well cared for.
MoreI found staff to be caring and professional . They knew how to caretake for my wife in ways that surprised me and got positive results . Getting someone settled into a sudden change of lifestyle and locked down in memory care is no small task for family and Juniper Village came through. I have to say that Im happy for what has transpired.
MoreMy recent tour of Juniper Village left me with a huge smile on my face. From the minute I walked in the front doors, there were lots of residents milling about, some walking the halls, others gathered in small groups or heading in and out of activity spaces. It was a busy day and the hallways had a happy energy to them.Anna, my tour guide, didnt hesitate to answer resident questions, or stop to greet people by name, even taking a few minutes to help a resident get where she needed to go.There is so much to consider when choosing a Memory Care community for your loved one. Oftentimes when we are assessing details of care, or amenities, we lose sight of the energy and vibe of a community. Ultimately, along with exceptional care for our loved ones, we want joy and happiness in their days.Juniper Village seems to be doing it right.
MoreI have worked for Juniper Village at Louisville for over three months as the Medical Concierge. I have worked as a CNA for eight years and I have to say that I absolutely love this job. All the staff are welcoming and hard working. The staff, management, residents, and resident family members are like a huge family. The residents always come first in this facility. The houses and rooms are always clean due to our hard working house keepers. Things are fixed quickly and efficiently by our lead maintenance man. Our residents are always taken good care of by our care givers, QMAPS, Nurses, and leadership team. Our residents always enjoy our amazing activities that are put together by our fabulous activities (Connectionsteam. I think my most favorite part about this job is the amazing team work. Every department helps if help is needed. I am proud to say that I work at Juniper Village at Louisville every time I am asked where I work. Thank you everyone working in juniper village at Louisville for being awesome. I plan on staying in this family for a very long time.
MoreGreat place for Memory Care. They truly understand Alzheimer’s suffers and what to expect along with how to support their residents. The facility feels like a home. The staff generally wants to be there and they are always doing their best to provide meaning to their residents. Unfortunately that is not the case with other more prominent all-in-one Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care facilities; those facilities quickly look for ways to terminate the contract once your loved one moves into Memory Care. Trust me, we learned the hard way. We wished we had taken 5 minutes to do internet searches on the other facilities as the ‘scam’ and ‘complaints’ are abundant and going on for years.Again, Juniper is truly a Memory Care facility and their residents are given the best care and support possible. Highly recommend...
MoreNow that weve moved my father in to Juniper Village, my only regret is that I didnt look closely at their facility one year ago when we engaged in a frantic search to find appropriate care for dad when mom passed away suddenly. I discovered that the cost is noticeably less than we were paying for assisted living at a not-too-distant Boulder facility and certainly less than I had feared memory care would run for my father who really requires a LOT of help. Lots of things to be enthusiastic about: Every time I call Juniper the people on the phone are pleasant, cheerful, and helpful. They have sufficient staff to support multiple calls/video meetings per week with the residents. The food I sampled was delicious. The facility smells clean and well-kept. And most importantly, they treat my father well and he feels comfortable there in a way he never did at the facility we moved him from. He has yet to ask me when he gets to go home, which had become a fairly common refrain near the end of his stay at the prior facility. For anyone who has had close contact with other memory care facilities or assisted living facilities you will already be aware that not every place smells clean, has helpful and cheerful people answering the phone, and has enough staff to support more than one call per week during the pandemic. Even though its early in my fathers journey at Juniper I cannot say enough nice things about them. The weight on my shoulders lifted as soon as I moved dad in and my continued experiences (with exceptional communication from the facility nurses regarding medication changes rolled out by his doctor- the type of insight I never had from the previous facilityall leave me believing that although this was a tricky move in the middle of a pandemic it was definitely the right one to make. And even though it was a difficult move to make, Anna in the Juniper village office helped with every level of necessary coordination, providing every bit of silly information I asked for (room dimensions & layout, no problem!), and pointing out the information they needed but had not yet received from my fathers old place so I could shake the information out of the old facility, which definitely made the move as easy as it could be considering the harrowing pandemic constraints. And all of Annas answers about life inside Juniper were accurate and spot-on, unlike marketing/sales/business folks at other memory care facilities who gave me answers that I know were in conflict with Colorado Dept of Public Health orders and that I suspect didnt reflect pandemic realities for how the residents are experiencing those facilities at this point in time.In short-- put Juniper on your short list. Visit a few other places and I think Juniper will stand out for their quality of care, small-house approach, affordable memory care pricing, and sensible (but not overboardPandemic precautions. Good people, good place.
MoreMy mother has only been in this facility for about 3 weeks. But my family and I finally have some peace of mind that my mother is getting good and compassionate care. The Staff that I have dealt with at Juniper are all wonderful. Going above and beyond seems to be the normal for them, not the exception. I have had more feed back about my mom and her care during this time than the entire 6 mos. in her previous facility. Because ofcovid I have only been in the facility once (the day we moved mom herebut from what I saw it is very clean and designed appropriately for the people they care for. I did not see a bunch of fancy chandeliers and furniture and stuff for show. But a nice place for people to live and becomfortable and happy. I highly recommend Juniper.
MoreJuniper Village is a great alternative to other memory care facilities due to the caring staff. My mom has been cared for at Juniper Village for about 2 years. She was in another memory care facility for about a year when she was moved to Juniper Village. The other care facility was like being in a Hilton, but don’t be fooled with the surroundings without getting to know the people (staffwho provide the care for your loved ones.Juniper Village has a great staff who understand how to care for your loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s.I especially give my praise to one staff member, Mary, who is excellent with my mom, caring for her needs. I realize there are other staff members who also provide great care to my mom, but have seen how attentive Mary has been to moms every need. My mom is always dressed nicely, her hair is clean and combed, her nails are cut & polished, and most importantly my mom seems content when we’ve visited her.As long as there are people like this providing care to your loved ones, it doesn’t matter if the place looks like a Hilton.Juniper Village is a clean, well organized memory care facility that is laid out out to suit the residents needs, and not to dazzle the family members with glitz and glamor. The facility also uses sensible memory enhancement activities to provide well rounded care for your loved ones.
MoreMy father has had Alzheimers for ten years and until recently lived at home with my mom. In the spring it became apparent that she was no longer able to keep him at home. Our family was sad and nervous about having him move into a residential facility. In June, he moved into Juniper Village which has turned out to be a wonderful experience for all of us. Last winter, my dad stayed at Juniper for a week of respite care and we knew then that when the time came, we would move him there. It is such a loving, comfortable and fun place! We know he is in great hands with the caring and communicative staff. I so appreciate how well they have gotten to know my dad and all of the support we received from Anna in admissions.
MoreBeautiful community with a professional and thoughtful team that provides their residents with the care, compassion and support they need.
MoreJuniper Village in Louisville is by far the best place to work. I have been here for almost 3 years and I am forever grateful to Juniper and their amazing administration team for all they have done to mold me into a Leadership team member. I have had the privilege of being able to move up in positions to expand my skill set and better myself throughout the community. It really is a great community its clean, home like and has amazing care staff to ensure the best quality of life for our wonderful residents.
MoreJuniper Village at Louisville is a wonderful community serving those with Alzheimers and dementia. It has a unique small-home layout that provides comfort, community and supports the wellness of residents. I love working here!
MoreThis is a wonderful place to work. The community is very clean, the staff provides excellent care. The leadership team is absolutely amazing, especially The Exec. Dir. And Regional Manager. They provide excellent resources and training to set you up for success in your position. I have to say even after owning my own business, thus far Juniper is the best place I have worked.
MoreJuniper Village at Louisville is a great place. Residents are well taken care of, employees are kind and caring, and the building is well managed. I recommend this community to anyone needing a memory care neighborhood.
MoreJuniper Village-Louisville does a wonderful job caring for our seniors, I do recommend this place! Please keep up the great work!
MoreIve waited a few months to put in my two cents worth about Juniper, so here goes! With aging parents things get rough fast and no week is a like. Finding resources both financial and physical is a rocky road (no I dont mean ice creamthat takes you places you couldnt imagine you would go. Karen at this facility is engaged with her staff, balancing training the new salesman and consulting families all in one. Ive observed the same caring regard amoung the staff, even the young flighty ones, engaged and care about my mom. My mom came to Juniper from a neighboring community that was understaffed, under trained and seemed to have surrendered. There is a warmth and resolve at Juniper to nurse patients back to health, give them best quality of life while having some fun. Food is simple but consistent, laundry is always done, the place overall is clean. Nursing is easy to find during the day and the phone is answered regularlly! I give five stars out of five stars and my simple expectations are being met. Most importantly my mom seems content with other ladies her age.
MoreWe were very fortunate to find a place like Jùniper Village. The staff and management are helpful kind and compassionate. Both our parents were here and my mom is still here. She is happy and very content in her home. She is always clean and actually looks and feels better now. Its not easy to find a place like Jùniper Village. We can leave knowing they are cared for in everyway. Thanks also to the chefs and kitchen staff for providing good healthy meals. The activity people do a tremendous job with something everyday. We look forward to celebrating holidays there. They do their best. We will always be grateful and will have fond memories. Thank you.
