We ate here for the 1st time and the food and service was great! We will be back again soon.

Loved their fish, dessert, and wine selection during our last visit.

Wow. In town for work got steaks to go on Saturday night 10-22-22 they were phenomenal. Med well cooked perfect!

Really good menu service and pricing. Dont got for the decor Go for the good food.

This place is a hidden treasure. The food and drinks are always great. We had the spicy shrimp appetizer, Marguerita seafood and seared scallops. All were cooked perfectly, however, the cream pesto sauce with the scallops had no basil taste.

Great menu, mediocre implementation. In general, from the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer to the salmon on angel hair pasta entrée, and all other entrees ordered, the food was pretty much tasteless.

We were celebrating a birthday (party of 14The service was very good and dinner was delicious with the exception of one appetizer that came out cold. They only inconvenience- they wanted cash payment for the large party.

Delicious. We had the filet mignon with veggies. All cooked al dente and meat was flavorful and tender. Nice service and cozy, old school atmosphere.

We sat at the bar and Ben took care of us! I had the Bouillabaisse and Doug had Tips Diane and the food was amazing. The smoked salmon appetizer is not to be missed. Terrific ambiance, quiet and just all around good. Ben worked hard to take care of everyone.

A group of us went for dinner. Appetizers and the meals were wonderful!! And our waitress, Rhonda, was great!! Will definitely go back.

Worst dining experience and maybe worst experience of my life. Do not waste your time and money going to this truck stop parking lot. A total s$#t hole. Can I give a million negative stars? Owner refuses to buy shades to block car lights. On valentines night a car sat with lights on for more than a half hour right in our faces and wait staff refused to move us. I tried to move twice but wait staff made us return to the truck stop parking lot seats.. Totally ruined our valentines dinner.I cannot write enough negative things about this place. Awful just unbelievably Awful. The food.... an MRE can taste good if you put enough hot sauce on it. Just stay away!

They must remove any negative reviews. The food was fine but the bartender put too much whiskey in the Irish coffee I had. I had a wine initially so he knew as an elderly small size woman it would be too much for me. Glad I made it home in Dewey. My best friend was livid and the bartender just shrugged it off. How low but thats a bartender for you. The food is fine though but I am relocated my summer house to Long Island where I grew up so I wont see JIT again. Mainly an older group of people. Well Ive gone here maybe 7-8 times and its been great every time. Honestly in its price range my favorite restaurant with in 50 miles.

What a great place to eat. Have not been there for a little bit. Our server Amber was awesome . Stuffed mushrooms and Oyster Rockefeller for appetizers, Shrimp and grits and pasta with shrimp for the main course. Wowwww

Food is marvelous. Filet mignon, grilled to perfection. Scallops are delicious. Desserts are fantastic. Cream of crab soup was thin but tasty. Very nice bar. Courteous staff. We lucked out because it was also Jazz Weekend; the musicians/singer were fabulous. Just in Thyme was recommended by a thoughtful waitress from the bar across the street and it was by far the best referral ever!

My husband and I treated my brother and sister in law to dinner at Just in Thyme on 9/5/21. I don’t typically write reviews but I had to..Our service and food were excellent. I tried the halibut special, my SIL got the Mahi Mahi special, the guys got New York Strips, everyone was beyond pleased!!! Dessert a turtle cheesecake and a chocolate cake with chocolate chips and vanilla icing. We could not have asked for a better dinner.. the bonus.. we were in and out faster than eating at Grottos! Great job Just in Thyme and staff!!!

We had a wonderful dining experience. The menu had a large selection. It was so nice to have a menu with numerous selections. Tired of the chain restaurants. All of us enjoyed our dinners. The waitress was awesome. Atmosphere was lovely. We will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner with our special friends.

Enjoyed the food but several items were sold out. In all fairness, it was late into the evening when we went. However, no bloody mary mix? Thats an easy fix and shouldnt be an issue.

Absolutely a surprise on the Forgotten Mile!!! We made reservations and met family there for an outstanding meal !! The waitress Christine was so on point for us. Please visit this restaurant. It will not DISAPPOINT !!

We really enjoyed this place! Yummy New Orleans/Cajun fare, which was nice to find down here at the beach. We had the shrimp remoulade, and they were indeed jumbo shrimp, really hearty; two pasta dishes with seafood, and they were super accommodating when I asked for a different sauce; drinks were great; and if youre there on a night when they have the chocolate heaven mousse dessert, do not skip it. It was light and fluffy and perfect. Only thing I could see being improved is updating the plating style a bit, and maybe its my old eyes, but it was a bit dark. Otherwise really good, and well be back.

The best fish dinner I’ve had in a very, very long time. So satisfying - So delicious - definitely a memorable experience . A delicious local spot with awesome service and local vibe - a must visit when in Rehoboth !

This is a true locals restaurant that has been here for decades and offers a wide variety of choices. They always have a smoked fish appetizer, tonight it was salmon. Delish. I enjoyed a soft crab in an entirely different way. It was lightly pan seared picatta style over angel hair. My dining partner had a pork and duck stew type dish with white beans. She said it was very good. Our server, Kristina, was very attentive and professional. They have a fire place for a cozy and romantic atmosphere and a very nice U shaped bar area with great drinks. You can enjoy Happy Hour from 5-6. Just in Thyme is a classic. Always enjoyable

We have been going to this restaurant for years and have never been disappointed once. The dining room is spacious and never seems crowded. The menu is a bit upscale (for our budget): most entrees are priced from mid-20s. If you order wine, appetizer, entree & dessert, the bill for two can easily go over $100. But we like it and usually go a few times during the season. It has enough parking at the front and on the side.Update 9/6/2020: Again we were not disappointed. My fish taco is substantial, causing me unable to finish my Thai chicken &, shrimp curry (boxed up to take home). I had asked the server to tell the chef to kick up a notch for the heat, and it tasted FIERY. SO GOOD. My partner had an excellent Shrimps & Grits.

The food in this place is PHENOMENAL. I went last night with a group of four and I knew it was going to be good just from the menu. I started off with a Watermelon Slush Sangria and it was incredible. The rest of the group enjoyed their drinks as well. Appetizers we shared the Warm Brie and the DelMarVa crab dip. Who knew I liked Brie and holy crab in the crab dip! I had the strip streak with a crab cake and I’ve been thinking about it since. Both executed perfectly and the flavors, oh my lord. The rest of the group ordered the Orleans Pork Tenderloins, the Red Snapper and the Lump Crab Penne Pasta. Our waiter was awesome, very informative and on his game. Decor was very homey and warm. Only negative thing I can really say is about the little dip in the floor I kept tripping over lol. Well done guys, you should be proud. Best meal I’ve had since I been visiting here.-M

This was a lovely evening out. The waitress was patient about questions as we had never been there. We were so indecisive because so many things on the menu sounded good! She smiled and gave us honest opinions. The food all came out hot and everything was delicious! They were very accommodating towards an allergy and they had a beautiful dessert tray! We loved sitting by the fire. We look forward to going again.

After reading many reviews, I was iffy about coming here. We came here because we couldnt find parking downtown. The mako shark appetizer was fantastic and fun. I had the spinach salad with shrimp. It was great. Everything was so fresh. My husband got the Bouillabaisse which was excellent. The service was outstanding and everything exceeded our expectations.

Service, food, wine, and atmosphere were all excellent.Our server was joyful and lighthearted but knew his stuff and was very forthcoming with recommendations and advice on navigating the menu. The level of attention he paid us was like Goldilocks, not too much, not too little, just right.Everything we had in our party was delicious, from the baby cockles to salad to entree. The broth with the cockles was amazing, perfect for dipping your bread in after the clams are gone. The catch of the day (red snapper when we wentprepared Cajun style and topped with crawfish etouffee was perfect.We went after dark and the ambiance was lovely, quiet during the week yet still in summer season. The only thing to be prepared for is that there is a bar connected to the main dining room and the staff attend to business in there too. It certainly was not distracting or a negative in any way, but just dont expect a textbook dining room that is perfectly subdued or dedicated just to the dinner crowd...the bar area maintains a minor background of well placed conversation...at least it did the night we visited :)Priced a little bit on the high end but since everything was perfectly delicious it felt worth it at the end of the night. Would definitely recommend it, worth checking out for sure if youre looking for a pricier place to eat that is worth it.

We went with a very large group off-season during a week night. The food was just ok, and the service was incredibly slow. There are so many good restaurants in RB to choose from, this one I dont have to go back to.

Great restaurant! Food choices were abundant. Prices were moderate; our server Ben was marvelous and accommodating to all our requests! Highly recommend this restaurant when you are in the area and will visit them again soon!

This was a nice surprise. The vegetable medley was simple, but very well done. The green beans were excellent. The blackened crab cakes were delicious. The pork Orleans was really flavorful. Weve been by this place a number of times. At the urging of a local, we tried it. It was absolutely worth it. Well be going back soon.

Very dissatisfied. We told waitress we were wanting to stay with happy hour menu..5 dollars off entrees,appetizers and wine.She did not give us basic information that would have saved a lot of money. We ordered the specials, apparently they are not considered for happy hour, nor was the pino grigio (all other whites were).Simple courtesy from the waitress would have avoided the problem. We left a small tip, but in retrospect would have left none. Its a shame as we always enjoyed this place! One bad employee spoiled it.

We discovered this restaurant gem about six months ago and have returned many times. The food is varied and excellent. The service is usually friendly and efficient. On Saturday, February 2 we arrived at approximately 5:40 and noticed the dining room was very busy. . A young male waiter, who has served us in the past apologized for the confusion about which member of the wait staff was assigned to our table. After about 10 minutes the hostess gave us water and assured us our waitress would be over shortly. When our waitress finally came to our table she did not speak to us except to ask what we wanted. She did not go over the specials or even smile. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. She disappeared, but could be seen occasionally chatting with other tables. Again, a long wait. She did not return to ask if we wanted anything else until the appetizer arrived. We ordered entrees and she was gone again. When the entrees came, she did not smile, or ask if we would like anything else. She put them on the table and was gone again. We finished our meal and waited for her to return. After a long wait, the young waiter cleared our table and apologized again. We again waited to be asked if we wanted anything else but decided to get our bill whenever she returned. After another wait she put the bill on the table and disappeared. We had the bill on the table with a debit card inside, and waited half an hour for her to process it. She NEVER returned. We finally took the bill to the hostess, who was cleaning tables and asked her to take care of it so we could leave. The time was now 7:40. Two hours for a dinner and most of the time we were waiting. As we were leaving we noticed our waitress was chatting at a table in the porch area. When we were leaving the parking lot she was still chatting at that table. If this had been our first visit to this establishment we would not return. Fortunately, we enjoyed many previous visits. When we return again, if we are assigned to this waitress we will request other staff.

The service was very bad and our food took 50 minutes to come out. The food was actually very good but the service was so awful and the wait time for the food is not worth coming back. It was also very strange our waiter checked on other tables quite frequently besides ours. It seems to me that they only catered to locals or the people they knew which is funny because I am a local.

Beautiful setting with delicious food and warm people. We have spent 2 anniversary dinners here and we will be back! Thank you to the folks at this Restaurant for making our special day that much more memorable!!

Really good food. Service was mediocre. We saw our server twice. I would have liked a bit more attention, maybe to be checked on once or twice. We had very good cocktails before dinner, but I was wanting a glass of wine with my dinner. I will give it another chance, the food is worth it to try again.

What a great way to finish Jazz Weekend with a delicious dinner, fun crowd and the music of Dexter Koonce and Alfie Moss musicians. Good service, fresh seafood dish and my husband enjoyed his Jambalaya. Would definitely recommend this charming place and parking too.

By far the best meal I had in the Rehoboth/Dewey area. Great food, impeccable and knowledgeable wait staff, and just a good dining experience. Cant wait to come back

Great food terrible service! I also believe we got ripped off and over paid. We had an elderly woman who was rude as hell and you had to consistently flag down and she still forgot to bring your items out or didnt listen and ran away while you were still talking. There was 8 of us and we split our bill 2 ways and it ended up being over 500 between the two. For four of us it was 250 and I added my portion and my fiances portion plus our appetizers and alcoholic brevages and it came to $111 so there was still 2 meals and 2 iced teas to account for but there is no way that portion would added up to what our bill was. The way they ring everything up is backwards too they do not have a POS system which leaves more room for error for airheads like our waitress was. I would not reccomend this restaurant bc of the service food was great but I would not want to sit there and be ignored or have a rude airhead waitress for an outstanding meal.

Last evening was great as always. Our meals were delicious and the service in the dining room was excellent. Our server was very pleasant taking the time to chat with us. We moved to the bar for an after dinner cocktail prepared by Stephanie, chocolate martini...yum! Just in Thyme is one of our favorite places in Rehoboth.

We have been going to this place for years and have always loved the food and the service. We have always recommended it highly to friends and family. However, on our last visit my wife was not happy with her main course. It had a hint of a taste of licorice that was not appealing to her and that was not included in its description on the menu. After only 2 bites she brought this to the waitresses attention and indicated that she would prefer something else. She settled for a Caesar salad. When the bill arrived it included a charge for the dish that she had returned. When we inquired about this (indicating that we thought we should not have to pay for itwe were told that all they could do was discount it by $4.00. So the bottom line is we paid $17.00 for something that we didnt eat. This is bad business and for the first time we have a bad feeling about this restaurant. Again, usually great food but they should have handled this differently. A small price for them to pay to keep a customer happy and wanting to come back. When someone is unhappy with their food, dont charge them for it. Thats just common sense and good business.
