Its ok we just got a haircut for the dog. People were friendly enough.

Professional and my sons dogs got spoiled their.

This is our 2nd time using The Kennelodge. The 1st was just over night and seemed ok. The facility is really nice and the reception was nice. This stay was from 3/24 -27th. Our dog this trip is on medicine that she takes 2x a day...I wrote directions out for them which also included to please allow her to have enclosed toy (very smalland a pillow case to be just laid out on her bed. This was suggested by our vet for scent since she has some anxiety. She was a rescue and had been abused . Upon picking her up she had another dogs bed which was filty (which she was a mess), the pillow case she was to have had never been unfolded, another animals medicine plus hers was in her bag, they missed 2 doses of her meds, they said the extra bottle was just accident and none was dispensed but would not tell me what the additional medicine was , she drank 1/2 bowl of water in the truck and was hungry (which she rarely ever eats and drinks while riding. My husband went back in after we counted the pills and they said sorry and it was prolly nite shift that missed it...ummm like thats a thing?? They wont tell us what the other med is but swears she didnt get . Im Sorry that I dont have faith in their word. I never make reviews... I dont expect her to be fresh and clean when I pick her up but I dont feel there should be any Leniency when it comes to medication. I am paying for a service that I dont take lightly when it comes to an animal that is truly a part of our family. I shouldnt be terrified that she could possibly have a reaction to a random medicine that we have no idea even what it was.This establishment was recommended to us by a close friend but we wont be returning. That beautiful exterior doesnt mean your pet will be well cared for.

Very friendly, helpful employee who cut and filed our dogs nails. Was very comfortable for us.

I love taking my dogs here.the girls are so caring and easy with them .I have no worries when there getting their nails done .I appreciate it !!thanks girls at kennel logde for doing such a great job !!!

This is by far the best kennel. The staff treat the animals with great care. The kennel is kept clean always. They have a huge play area. The price is more than reasonable. The staff members are professional and answer any questions. The place is great and I for one can only say good thing about Kennelodge. 5 Stars isnt enough. Thank you so much for taking great care of our German Shepherd.

I took my dog here one time to be groomed they kept her three hours..one week later she started coughing. I never real knew about Kennel cough now I’m off to a vet . Why didn’t anyone there ask if she has a shot for it? Then on top of that $65 dollars to groom a 45lb dog really in Portsmouth area.

My dog loves coming here for grooming and boarding. Rips out of my hands to go to caregivers. Efficient, friendly, easy to make appointments or call and explain a change in plans. Could smell better

Definitely some shady stuff going on at this place. The facility isn’t clean, cats roaming around freely, and they recently “lost” one of my dogs. There are too many conflicting stories to know what has happened. They are unresponsive and are not doing their part to help find my poor baby. All they care about is the money. I DO NOT recommend leaving your animals in their care.

They closed their business for a year over a virus that doesn’t effect animals , and has been proven to be nowhere near as serious as originally thought. Everywhere else is open with precautions and doing fine , and they have already closed until “March 2021”. I sincerely hope that they lose their business permanently so that maybe someone with some business sense and customer service can open a reliable boarding and grooming facility in its place. My dog will not be back. The place was basically a dog pound for hire anyway.

The last time I was here with my schnauzer the hair cut was horrible, she was shaking and crying all the way home. Next, I took a good look to see what might be bothering her and saw that she also had areas that had not been bathed or groomed. We will never be back after this episode.

When I called, the worker who answered the phone said each nightly stay was $17. My dog stayed for two nights. I had my younger brother pick my dog up on the scheduled day because I wasn’t back to town yet. The amount should’ve been $34 (I assumed there’d be some tax which I was okay with). My brother called me and said the total was $50!!! Whenever I got home and seen my dog, he is now hacking and sneezing like he has kennel cough. I also sent a bag of food with my dog due to him being a picky eater. My brother came back with an entire filled bag..... My brother also said the woman he encountered was extremely rude whenever he picked my dog up.. needless to say, we will not be a returning customer.

My dog seemed well taken care of for the two days that he stayed. The price was reasonable as well. It was just very loud because of all of the dogs and the whole atmosphere gave little comfort for me and my husband as first time boarders. They worked with our anxious pup, which is great, but it overall wasnt a great place for an anxious dog to be. That could probably be said for most kennels though. They do have a very nice place and would be great for those that dont have the kind of anxious dog that we do.

The staff are helpful and flexible and allowed me to pick up my dogs late when I had become stuck in traffic coming back from vacation. They had my dogs bathed and ready and my furbabies seemed to like the staff, so I believe they were treated well during their stay, and that’s the most important quality. My criticism is that the smell tells me that they either have too many animals to keep up with the cleaning or that it’s just not very clean. I boarded my dogs in Columbus in the past, and that facility was super clean, and they walked me around the whole place, and they kept the exercise grounds as well as the kennels clean at all times. This place smells AWFUL! And they are resistant to allowing you access to where the animals spend their time (based on my last visit). I insisted the last time, and while it appeared fairly organized and friendly, it was not clean.

My dog is happy with the treatment he gets here, which makes me very happy.

I just have a feeling the animals are not treated so great. We used it twice and the feeling I get keeps me from ever taken our babies there again.

We had a great boarding experience, no issues at all. Our goldendoodle seemed well taken care of while we were on a week vacation and the worker was nice when I called to check on him throughout the week. The only issue was with grooming. I decided to have him groomed there the day before we were to pick him up and left specific instructions on how I wanted our dog groomed. When I picked him up, it was like the groomer didn’t hear a word I said. I know he is a young dog ( a little over a yearand grooming can be hard with young dogs but this was his 5th trip to the groomer, it wasn’t his first time. He was not cut the way we asked. I have asked for reimbursement of the grooming (not the boarding obviouslyand so far nothing has been done.

Took my dog there, as well as my dad’s dog. They did good with my dad’s dog over all. They were good with getting us scheduled with my tight schedule. But I will not be taking my dog back. They cut one of her back right toenails way too short and cut the quick and she was bleeding. How did the blood go unnoticed? My dog has white color fur as well as light brown. I took her back in when I noticed it. They put the powder on it, but on the wrong toenail, but then put it on the correct one, yet it did not stop the bleeding. I had to clean her up from the blood -after paying for her to get a bath- and then wrap it up and monitor her. Maybe I caught them on an off day but now my dog will be even more scared to get her nails clipped ever again. I will not risk scaring my dog anymore than she already is. I am not sure what happened but I felt the need to inform others of my experience. If you want well priced grooming, last minute appointment, and your dog is very calm then try them. But if you have a dog with high levels of anxiety, is scared easily or hyper and hard to control, I would not recommend it.

Great service

Great price and great job on grooming large dogs. Only issue is they have free roaming cats, our big guy did OK but normally dislikes all cats.

Raised prices without telling us until time to pick up the dogs. Not just a dollar but 6 a night. Was ok until then

used for first time.really impressed

They were great! 1st boarding experience for my husband and I both, and we loved them. The price was very reasonable, and our 4 month old puppy (who we were nervous about leavingdidnt want to leave them! Super nice employees. My husband was late dropping him off due to work, and they worked around him. They were patient and very nice the couple times I called to check on him. Will definitely use them again!

Terrible! I feel like a dry cleaners would have been better. They didnt use the blanket I sent, they didnt ask about feeding or behaviors or anything. Like I said, I felt like I dropped a bag of clothes with laundry detergent that they didnt use. They didnt say how everything went or anything! My dog acted terrified the following day after I brought her home!
