The staff was very helpful and informative when I called to get more information as well as during the entire process at their location. They were able to complete all my appraisals quickly without an appointment for a reasonable cost and with great service. Highly recommend and will be one of my first choices when shopping for additional pieces of jewelry!

I have bought anything gold here. I love it. Recently had my Moms rings reset etc. I love the craftsmanship. One was completely a tear apart.Everyone was very helpful.

Beautiful pieces, great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Family owned but not Rinky dinky. Jewelry isnt something I know anything about and I appreciated them taking the lead but respecting my personal input and style. I didnt even think about future maintenance, cleaning and sizing but the pros at Kramars took care of EVERY aspect. I really feel like I now have a one of a kind piece. I wanted to surprise my wife with a little something sparkly for her birthday. After explaining she likes simple but classy they brought out different examples and price points and allowed me to decide what I was willing to spend. There was nothing but support and no pressure to purchase more than I wanted to spend! Will be back!

My ring is beautiful, but my fiancé and I’s experience with this store and the staff was terrible. I really struggled with whether I wanted to write an honest review, or just let it go, but I feel like our experience with this store has been the worst part of our engagement. When we picked out the ring the sales woman was short, rude and unhelpful. The ring took way longer than their longest estimate, and when my fiancé called he learned that they sent it overseas, which they never told us at any point prior to the purchase or afterwards. The saleswoman honestly kind of fat shamed me, and I’m curvy but not worthy of the comments that she made… she insisted that I get a size 9 ring when an 8 1/4 would honestly probably fit best, and her reasoning was that I would gain more weight (in my finger!?when I came back after we finally got the ring, I wanted to resize down to an 8 1/4 and she still insisted that I must only do 8 1/2 because I would inevitably get fatter… so insulting, the ring is still too big and it bent on my finger because there is still so much extra space and I’m honestly traumatized by the idea of going back to this place because I know they’re just going to bully us and continue to be dishonest… Really just awful. Was hoping this could be a family shop we could support and return to for future purchases. Afraid that I will most definitely not be the case.

They are life savers!!!! My grandmothers right that she had given me before she passed had gotten damaged. Staff was not friendly. I had to return after I purchased my new diamond ring because there were two small stones missing. I noticed as soon as I got home and called right away. When I returned the next week to fix the stones I was accused of banging the ring ? Suzy was not pleasant to work with. The ring is beautiful but staff aloof.

Our Story: about 30 years ago my then boyfriend was given a business card for Kramar Jewelry by a coworker. When it was time for us to get engaged we drove the trip south (we’re about 105 miles northand picked out our rings! Then around our 10th Anniversary we re-visited Kramar and upgraded to a larger wedding set for me! It was beautiful! I say was because once again around our 20th anniversary we upgraded again, this time to one gorgeous ring! George has been amazing through all out visits! My fiancé had a particular style of ring she was looking for and after going to many other jewelers in the area, we were becoming very discouraged. We hated playing the game with various jewelers over not being able to source the right stones or only having stone for very limited windows. Kramar is the best jewelry store I have ever experienced! We stopped by one day and now have returned many times. They are never pushy with sales. They have taken amazing care of our jewelry, whether they sold it to us or not. The prices are fair and the service is impeccable. My fiancé did not purchase my ring here- but it is very close to my home so I have been taking it in for repairs, prong checks, etc. I have never had an issue with my ring until I brought it in here. I had to have two small diamonds repaired and just days after I paid for the repair, the diamonds fell out again. The worst part is, I brought my ring in because the main diamond felt loose. I brought it in and paid for the repairs AGAIN and the 1.1karat diamond FELL OUT of the ring. I am so thankful I was home and saw it happen- otherwise I would have been out thousands and thousands of dollars. Whether it’s because they’re messing up my ring or just coincidence, I’m never returning. The fact that my ring has had something happen to it within weeks of bringing it in every single time I’ve gone (3 timesleads me to believe they just don’t actually know how to repair jewelry. I guess I should have learned my lesson the first or even second time, but third time is the final straw. DO NOT go here for jewelry repairs.

Kramar Jewelry is one of the best jewelry stores in Metro Detroit. I have been going there since they were in Oak Park. George and his staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The selection is tremendous and the prices are very fair. If you are looking for a special piece, this is the place to find it! If they don’t have what you are looking for they will make it for you. I have been a customer of Kramar’s since 1980. Over the years I have purchased many pieces of jewelry from them and they have made me three custom pieces that I love. The most recent one was a “push” gift for my daughter. However, due to her delivering her son earlier than her due date the necklace had to be rushed. They not only accomplished that in record time but they had the piece hand delivered to my home so that I didn’t have to return to their store to pick it up. I tell all my friends how great a jeweler Kramar’s is.

I wanted to update my wedding ring which was a 1 carat round diamond center stone with channel set diamonds in the band. They added a diamond halo to my existing ring and it is absolutely beautiful! So glad I went to Kramar Jewelry to have this done.

The store is clean and has a wide selection. I brought a ring in to be appraised, a $50 charge which I expected. What I didnt expect was how low they valued the ring at. Thinking from a consumers perspective, I knew the value had to be wrong-- Id pay at least five hundred dollars more for this ring just at face value, and I know the ring cost over $1000 more than what they valued the ring at. I went up the road to Clawson Jewelers, and he confirmed my suspicion that the ring was worth much more. Kramer refunded my money for the appraisal, but I will not be back.

Kramars was my (nowfiance and I first stop when we first began talking about marriage and ring shopping. I immediately enjoyed the attention and suggestions we received from the staff (Suzy). When the time came, I opted to have my my fiances ring custom made. I found a stone (green sapphire), they gave Gave me great recommendation of what kind of flanking diamonds to use. Picked our a style of ring (printed a pictureand took the design specs to Kramar. They created a CAD model, 3D printed a wax proof and cast in traditional yellow gold. I was kept up-to-date on every step of the process, viewed the CAD data and made some slight design changes. I gave (what I perceivedto be an aggressive date of completion and they came through with flying colors. Our ring came our even better than I expected! I highly recommend Kramars to anyone who is interested in creating their own (one of a kindpiece of jewelry. A job well done!

From the start I was treated right with friendly service and help that didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need but instead guided me towards what I did. I didn’t have to settle for something I found, instead Kramer’s brought my ideas to life and created the perfect ring. My husbands family has gone to Kramars for years. The staff is wonderful. Lily helped me design a tanzanite ring which came out beautifully. A few years later, my husband purchased my engagement ring there. Georgie helped me design my wedding setting and was honest about platinum vs. white gold and didnt try to get me to go with the more expensive of the two. It was THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper than the retail chains and much better quality. I also love that their lab is on site so I never have to wait weeks for a resizing, etc and worry about someone swapping out my stones, etc. I will go no where else!

I wanted to have a custom necklace made. I needed to learn if it was possible.The person that helped me on arrival quickly understood my question and brought one of the jewelers to answer. He not only answered the question but went on to describe how he would do it. I asked the price for the project. I was amazed. It was far less than i had anticipated.
