K's Nail Salon in Pottawatomie County

This was the worst nail experience I have ever had. My appointment was at 1 and I got there 5 minutes early. They sat me down to soak off my precious acrylics and gel. I sat with my fingers in acetone for an hour and a half. They checked on me halfway through and that was it. They didn’t start putting on the tips until 2:30. The lady was rushing through and put on the tips, acrylics, and gel in 30 minutes. That alone should have taken an hour. I left my with fingers dried out from the acetone and the gel polish all over my cuticles and fingers. I would not recommend!

I got a dip put on my nails on Thursday the 2nd of March. It has already chipped and fell off one of my nails four days later 6th).

I used to live up the street from this nail salon, so it was always my go to. I now live in several states away but come back a little apple frequently. I always make an appointment at K’s. I got a gel manicure FOUR WEEKS AGO and it’s just now starting to lift. That kind of wear is incredible! Usually, I barely get two weeks out of gel/acrylics. The family that owns this business is absolutely wonderful, which is just icing on the cake! 10/10 experience!

They are always running a little late but the service and quality is worth it. I won’t go anywhere else in Manhattan.

This was the worst set I have ever received in my entire life. This is what they looked like the second I walked out. She did mot listen to what I wanted or shape them correctly at all. Was rude and rushed through my set. I eventually just paid so I could leave. Would not recommend. This is the worst place I have been for an acrylic set in Manhattan

Friendly staff, the end result of the hair color was amazing.

Tried to call to see if they could do nail art. The girl was short with me asked if I had an appointment. I told her no but if you can do the nails my daughter wants I was going to make an appointment. She said no we dont and hung up on me without even seeing or knowing what I wanted.

Waited over a hour with a appointment but the nails were well done

I came here to have my dip removed and then get a basic manicure. I sat with my hands soaking for almost 45 minutes before anyone assisted me. The manicure then took 15-20 minutes and was something I could have performed at home. Will not be coming back.

Ive had ingrown nails on and off for 9 years and Ive always been able to go to Ks to get them removed.

If you go here, schedule an appointment and be on time or prepare to be there for at least 2 hours. They do nails really well if not rushed. Small business owners, short staffed. There are only 2 workers.

Did a fantastic job on my coffin dip manicure! Very nice people and they really do try to perfect the shape and length. Probably the best set that Ive gotten in Manhattan and for a really good price.

The shop is always clean! :)As their tools are not funky like you can they take time to clean properly!Nail tech is amazing fast and friendly!Listens as well gives advice! (As far as tweaking design or nail color etc to flatter better)Family owned which is really nice to me!Decent prices upfront about prices sign and provided services are listed as well as price!Just over all a friendly family owned shop!I also like that their locations is next to food and a gas station definitely amazing!I would definitely recommend! 🙂

The man that did my nails was fabulous! I had a broken nail cracked in the middle he fixed and was very gentle! He got the acrylic to cover the sides of my natural nail that usually show and I have to file or get snagged. Best manicure I’ve had!

Horrible. I went in to get my nails done with the dip powder and at first they looked fine. However, the day after I got my nails done one had chipped so I went back to get it fixed. The woman working told me I would have to wait because there was no one available and as I began to leave she had someone come out of the back to help me. Since I went and got that one fixed, all of my nails have chipped in one place or another. I am very unhappy with this poor service.

The main lady does great work but they couldnt care less if you make an appointment and theyll let you sit there waiting for 40 mins without letting you know theyre behind which seems like every time.

Love my nails! I’ve tried soo many places from Lawrence to Topeka and now Manhattan. They are by far my favorite. I’m very picky on my shape. Xuan did fabulous on my KC Chiefs short stilettos. There prices are also the best I’ve found. I just went back to replace the tip on one. These are about two weeks old.

I generally walk in, friendly place. I dont mind to wait. Looks clean. Pleased with my gel polish manicure!

Friendly staff, but the quality of work leaves a bit to be desired. My first time there I went in for a full set of acrylic nails. When she was finished, my nails were thick and lumpy and shaped somewhat like pyramids (the tip of the nails were larger than the nail bed). When I went in for a fill someone else helped me but the lady was looking everywhere except at my nails as she was working on them and they dont let you scrub the dust off your nails before they paint them. This time I ended up with nails that are uneven, misshapen and catch on everything due to the sides of the natural nail being exposed under the acrylic as well as the chunks of acrylic that were left on after filing that was just painted over. I wont be back.

I was a nail technician for 18 years and sent my clients here when i stopped doing nails.....now years later i am thouroughly disgusted. Chronically runs behind. My appt was at 1:30....call and tell me 2pm. I barely can do this. I get here and wait, and wait, and wait. It is right now 2:36 and i have YET to get a simple fill with no polish!! I AM DONE. I WILL NEVER RETURN. I NEVER WAS THIS BEHIND..additionally, when i finally did get a fill, and these nails were done less than 2 weeks ago, clear didnt look good because she failed to mot haveia fill line on a couple. After waiting 40 min, and being called to wait 30 min from the SCHEDULED TIME....she filled me in a 20 min rush job. I feel incredibly disrespected and angry. This is ridiculous on a set of nails not even done 2 weeks ago AND i have to refile because they are crooked. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I am new to town and was trying to find an affordable place for a mani pedi. I am happy to inform everyone I found that place. The girls are super nice and di a great job. I will be back many times!

Small shop with very friendly service. The staff remeber their clients well and will ask when you havent been in for a while. Appointments are recommended and even with an appointment, you may have to wait past your time to get your appointment started. One of the more affordable places in town. Family owned and operated. Frequently, there are plenty of open stations but not that many staff to have people at all of them.

When my daughters an I walked in we were stared at and the guy at the front desk was rude. We were told they were backed up but the salon had plenty of people that worked there that was just sitting .We were also told they didnt except walkins but when we called ahead we were told that they did. It was also posted on the door as well .I dont know if its a skin issue or just poor services either way i will not do business with them and i will tell my friends as well.

If I could give them negative one star or no stars I would because the service was horrible. I walked in and wasnt greeted and then I was told to come back at 10:30. Then when I get back and ask for a fill she tells me she doesnt have time for it! If you can choose another nail shop in Manhattan do so!

Visiting from out of state. Paid $28 for basic pedicure with a nail design. If youre looking to be pampered and relax, upgrade to the more expensive one. I enjoyed my service.

Best place for nails in town! They do a perfect job every time I go, and they get it done pretty quick. The environment is clean and relaxing and the staff are all very nice.

I like going here because they do not make you wait a lot. They do a great job with the nails. The decor is not great and the air is often not vented properly but I sometimes ask them to open the door. Very friendly. Their chairs and decor are from the 80s but it is clean and fairly quiet and they get the job done fast. I do not like the strange gloves they make you wear to soften cuticles - what is wrong with just dipping nails into a dish? I prefer that, so I often tell them no gloves....they do an excellent job with gel shellac UV polish and again no waiting! I used to go to Tips and Toes, but the place is loud and the appointments are never honored. Id go with an appointment at T and T and then wait 1/2 hr or more - many times, plus it is loud and crowded there, so I like this place now, it is more dowdy but efficient and on time , so who cares....

I have tried nearly all the nail salons in Manhattan and currently this place is my favorite.What draws me to them particularly is the nails LAST.Pleasant atmosphere and incredible smelling lotion near the drying counter!

Dont bother making an appointment, they will not honor your time. I had made an appointment and showed up on time, I was still waiting an hour later. This has happened multiple ocassions.Another time, I had waited for pedicure, they left me soaking 45 minutes, I was beyond pruned, and the water had gone cold bc I had sat there so long.I hope you dont have anything else to do with your day when you go here, bc your time is hijacked when you walk into this place. I cant even say its worth the wait anymore, the work is sloppy and rushed.I dont go here anymore and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Got a French tip with shellac for $30. Only had to wait 5 minutes with a walk-in. Did a good job and would go back again.

I made an appointment to be here by four and by five I still hadnt gotten any services. The lady was on the phone taking appointments for the next day...what is the point in setting up an appointment if they arent going to honor the time. There were two walk ins that got serviced before their appointment did. Ridiculous. Will not be coming here again.

used to be the best in town but now they rush, are lazy, and distracted while doing your pedi. If you want a fast pedi this is your place, but who wants that????? i stopped going there months ago....

Hands down the best nail salon for pedicures in manhattan. They have good prices, and do a great job on the actual pedicure. They are especially good at getting out ingrown toenails. My only complaint is that the base coat and top coat they use chip quickly for me. Ive solved this issue by bringing in my own base and top coats, which lets my polish last for 3-4 weeks. Because they are such a good nail salon, its almost impossible to get walk ins, so make an appointment. For weekends you usually need to call 2 days in advance.
