The food is really good excellent price

I went there for lunch today and was very pleased with the service and the food! We were seated immediately and served in a timely fashion, the food was hot and displayed in a pleasant manner (and delicious!). Overall it was a very good experience and I look forward to going back!

Keep the cook!! We swore this place off over a year ago. Third times a charm, right? The food was so good. I had no complaints, and I am picky as hell about my food. Ive been unable to find a place with a good chile relleno. Here it is folks!! Best Ive had in 3+ years.

We dine in @ La Carrera a few times a month, but order takeout every week. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Food comes out hot and fresh. The steak fajita salad is the best in town.

Rubén is super welcoming and helpful! He loves all the customers and makes sure they feel right at home. The food is so delicious! 100% would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Ordered takeout, they forgot my wraps for my tres amigos, when I went back to get them the staff was rude. Also there was barely any cheese sauce. My daughters french fries tasted like they were a day old. It was a terrible experience that I will never repeat. Honestly as terrible as this place was you would be better off asking taco bell to scrape something off of their floor for you

We always make sure to stop here when passing through. The spinach white queso is great and every entree weve ordered has been as well. The margaritas are also some of the best Ive had.

Best Mexican restaurant in this area... period. My go- to meals are seafood chimichangas, seafood enchiladas, and enchiladas souza. The chips and salsa and the margaritas are also awesome. Stop reading and order.

Went in ordered queso found a long curly hair in our queso told the waiter and he replaced the queso but we told him we didnt want to eat there anymore and he he told us he doesnt have any long haired people in the kitchen. Accused us of planning the hair in our Own food. I told him no one in our group has curly hair. We left. Do they even wear hairnets? Why would you accuse your customers of planting a hair?

I had the fajitas that had steak, chicken, shrimp, and Crab. Lots of food and very good. The margaritas are also very good.

We had excellent service. The server was very attentive- especially as she was the only one. Food was great as usual.

I hate putting bad reviews on businesses, but, I feel I have to be honest here...There is an old saying... "Mexican Restaurants with no mexicans as customers, the food aint Mexican"It seems like they put a lot of effort but the flavor is not there, however, the food is not terrible, it has a good taste..Pros: Inexpensive, menu is easy to understand, food is decentCons: Lacks authentic Mexican flavor, not very friendly environment.If I have a chance, I will give it another try.

This is a go-to place for a group of high school girlfriends to meet up and catch up. We always get great, friendly service and tasty food. We wouldnt keep going back if we didnt enjoy it.

My husband just ordered beef tacos for me, and this is by far the saddest serving of tacos Ive ever seen. Id get better portions and ratios of meat and cheese from taco bell, for less money. These three tacos cost $10. Abysmal and robbery.I was looking forward to eating here, but this is just beyond disappointing. Shame on this place for thinking this is appropriate.

Ate there today, November 22nd 2021. Ordered enchiladas and a small bowl of chicken tortilla soup. And as my mother was halfway done eating she found a dead fly in the soup. I brought it to their attention of course they did not charge me for the soup but charge me for the rest of my food I told him it was disgusting and that we would not be back to their restaurant and they said okay fine. I used to enjoy eating there a lot but the Dead fly in the soup was beyond gross.

We love La Carreta’s. Chips and salsa are great. My favorite dish is the supreme burrito with a white sauce. Service is super friendly. And the food is awesome. They have huge glasses for water, soda and tea. They have a nice outdoor patio when weather is nice. Aaa

if I could give a negative review I would. I ordered online, picked up in restaurant. When I picked up I read off the instructions to the Employee. I ordered 3 Tampico trios. I said All chicken, no beans, and cheese dip on top (I was charged $1.25 x 3no white cheese dip on top. They were all different. Chicken, spinach, and beef.I called and they did not understand me and kept asking me what I would like to order. I advised them they messed up my order I just picked up. I had to hang up the phone. They obviously cannot speak English and have no care if they give you the wrong food. I have no issues with the Gardner Location( they are amazing)This location needs to be improved, and Management needs to take over or you will be out of business soon. This is so sad.

Order takeout online from here if you want a quick, quality Mexican meal. Try Enchiladas Suizas! There salsa is the best in town and their spinach cheese dip is pretty good too!

The margaritas 🍹 was great. The food is always on point. The owner is very friendly and comes around to make sure the experience you are having is great. Love the family restaurant. The waitress we had is nice and friendly.

Best Mexican style restaurant restaurant in the Leavenworth Lansing area. Prices are fair, service is good, and staff is friendly. Family operated so they are not having service issues like other places. Food is excellent, very fresh, with lots of options. Have been to all major Mexican restaurants in Leavenworth and Lansing and this is the go to.

Like to always give a place a few tries before reviews... We had high hopes for this place, but it just didnt cut it. The items never matched the menu. Ordered poblano Chicken, there was no poblanos. Chimichanga was super mushy. Their vegetarian fajitas were made with a cheap frozen veggie mix for stir fries or something similar. .. Mostly lima beans and carrots. The good thing about their food was the flavors. All were spiced pretty well.Both times we were there the staff was standing around. One guy was working harder than others... He was our waiter. This meant he unfortunately didnt have a lot of time to check on us. Not sure he would have anyways... They dont come back to make sure your food is OK. They do give you giant water glasses, but I assume its so they dont have to come fill them as often.Lastly, they listen to the WORST old country music... Thats a personal preference, I know. But if you dont like a lot of slide guitar and crooning, nasal vocals circa 1982 with your Mexican food... Well... Dont say I didnt warn you.

Sorry guys, have to give you a bad review. If you would have called me back I wouldnt have.Anyway, I ate here and wrote $3.00 on the receipt for a tip on a $12 lunch. They added $6.00. when I checked my purchases online, I noticed. So I called to allow them to refund the difference. They said they would have the owner call me because only he could fix the problem. Never called, I called 2 times in the span of 10 days.So, be careful with these guys, kinda sticky if you ask me.

The food here is very good. Service is fast and the Servers are friendly. I am a little disappointed in the Chips and Salsa. The chips taste like they came out of a bag and the Salsa from a can.

The best mexican restaurant in town, period. Also, the best server.Their food was FIRE! Even the beans and rice were to die for, AND they have a whole section just for vegetarians 😁 made me very happy not to have to hunt for things that i can eat... Ordered online for carry out and got poor service. After the first couple of experiences with this restaurant not having orders ready on time, we learned to give them a buffer of five minutes after their expected ready time. Thats fine. Not the best, but the food is worth it so we roll with it. Tonight, though, we had to wait an extra thirty minutes after the pick up time for an order put in thirty minutes before. It shouldnt take an hour to get tacos. No one was working the front counter and three employees sitting at the bar, so there was a bit of a wait before I was even asked what I was there for. At most restaurants when this kind of delay happens, the customer is usually offered a soft drink or checked in on. Nope, ignored with no updates unless I sought someone out 🙃

I went here with my husband for the first (and lasttime ever last night.Our service was wonderful, and the food tasted fine at the time. Around midnight we began having cramps and sour stomachs. We were up sick most of the night. Ill spare the details, but something was definitely not right with the food we ate. Still sick today with bad stomach problems.

Good food decent service....but a cluster of at least ten people at very small counter to pay with no masks.....not even the cashier. When we arrived we had masks on and were seated outside distanced well from another group. Noticed people inside mostly had no masks but hey they were eating right? Wont be back till it feels safe. Felt very vulnerable upon leaving.

Absolutely love the staff and the food here! My wife and I eat here at least once a month! You will not be disappointed with anything you get. My personal favorite is the spinach enchiladas you cant get them like this anywhere else!

NOT TAKING PANDEMIC SERIOUSLYThis is the second time I have been to this place. Last time was pre-crisis and the food wasnt bad, but not anything to rave about. This time was my first outing to a sit down restaurant since restrictions have been lifted. We we came in, we noticed no personnel with masks on. We asked for outdoor seats, and was happy that we were seated a safe distance from the other diners. However, as soon as our server came to take our order, she stood right next to me without a mask.The utensils were wrapped in napkins, not sealed. The menus were large plastic laminated, instead of disposable. When our food came, the servers were not masked. Then later, towards the end of our meal, diners were seated at a table next to us, less than 6 feet. Apparently, limiting diners was not a priority, and it only got worse. Our server took our plates when were finished, and the disappeared inside. We waited for our checks for nearly 10 minutes, when we just got up and went inside to pay our bill. When the server saw us, she gave us a wait a minute finger, and then we got our bill with absolutely no apologies at all for the wait. I would have given no stars, but my food was good, although my companions food was cold. If you take the pandemic SERIOUSLY, dont come here, because THEY DONT.I wont be back.

Today was my first trip to La Carreta. This experience was great. Not even a minute passes after being seated and we were brought a bowl of warm tortilla chips with salsa and asked about drinks. The drinks came swiftly and then we ordered the special...the seafood enchiladas. A brief wait was all until our food arrived. The food was hot as were the plates and our server even made sure to inform us about the hot plates to avoid us possibly being burned. The food was excellent. Very filling. The enchiladas were served with black beans and mexican rice. Not over seasoned nor bland. Both went great with the enchiladas. I would have to rate this restaurant a 5 star and suggest anyone new to the area, or just want something different, to try this restaurant. The food and service are a plus. A definite must try.

Great menu, variety, affordable price and delicious food

This is always excellent food & service. I had their seafood enchiladas special. Fabulous! Thats my favorite dish of theirs & always order it when its on the menu. My spouse loves their fajitas & its his go-to meal. Its enough for 2 meals so thats perfect for him. Their guacamole is the best in town too. Did I mention how much I love eating here?

Myself, my wife, and adult son had dinner there couple of days ago. The food and the margaritas get five stars, very delicious and satisfying. The business that night was not packed, but somewhat steady. The reason for the 3 stars is related to theyre stinginess on the salsa that particular evening. We only received the initial round and even after putting our empty bowls at the edge of the table, never received a refill although they did keep bringing chips. Took a little longer than we would have liked after finishing our meal to receive the check. These things would have been easily understood had the restaurant been extremely busy however it was not. The wait staff was very polite and friendly, efficient. Will be back. Thanks la carreta.

This is the closest you will come to authentic Mexican food. Ordering is fast. The food comes fast. The service is outstanding. I eat here so much, I should invest in stock. Only thing I hate about it is they make the best Margaritas and I had to stop drinking!

Food is always great. They just bring it so fast! I guess I should be happy about that but sometimes i like to enjoy my drink for awhile. I just say I will order later and they are fine with that. I dont do that if people are waiting though. Prices are good and they have kids plates too

I love this place so much! We always go there whenever we get a chance usually on Sundays. We love to entertain friends from out of town and bring them to this restaurant. The margaritas are fantastic. Service is top-notch. Clean restrooms. Thank you La Carreta.

Excellent food with variety offerings on the menu. Better than most Mexican restaurants. Prices are reasonable. My wife enjoyed the Margarita.

The food here was excellent. The queso cheese dip had a unique flavor that is far superior to the average queso. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
