The staff at Larrys were very helpful right from the start. We were explained which options we had available for new furnace and AC, and what each option had as far as the benefits and maintenance options. The space we had with the current system limited us with other companies we sought estimates on, but Jamie was very helpful in coming up with options that would fit in our space that greatly improved on the efficiency of our current system. The installation technicians were very prompt and courteous, and thoroughly explained how the system worked and how to keep up to date on the maintenance. I highly recommend Larrys for all of your HVAC needs.

They came within an hour of me calling and had my A/C working within minutes. Great customer service!

The repair technician they sent to my house was friendly and very knowledgeable. He arrived on time and took the time to explain how the problem developed, what he could and couldnt fix, and what problems I could expect in the future. Since the furnace was old and the part had no part number, he warned me in advance the part would take awhile to arrive (over a week). Once the part came in he was able to install it next day, again he arrived on time and installed the part quickly. He gave me some advice on keeping the system up and running longer, with no pressure to buy a new system.

I have a propane furnace that hasnt been service in 21 years. Since its 2020 i thought what else could go wrong and being the end of October I thought it would be the furnace. Brandon came out and cleaned the burners, replaced the igniter part and filter frame and check the electrical components. I inquired about a humidifier and air purification units which he quoted me. It was nice he had the needed parts in his van, explained what he was doing and cleaned up after himself plus used covid 19 precautions. Highly recommend Larrys Heating and Cooling for your Service

I initially called for a service technician to come out and look at my old heating oil furnace that quit working. Parts to fix it were about half the price of a new furnace. Ethan was out at my place (about 40 miles awayless than 2 hours after the service tech made the phone call on a Friday.The whole process with Larrys was easy, from the quote all the way to the install. Their pricing falls into the range of what to expect if you google the price of a furnace install. Ethan always got back to me promptly if I had a question or update about the gas line. Couldnt be happier.I stopped in the morning they were doing the install to see if they had any questions. The old furnace was already out and they were almost done putting in the new one. This was about 2-3 hours or so after their time of arrival. I was pleasantly surprised. This timeline might not always be possible if there is more work to do, but it was in my case.Getting natural gas to my house from the mainline at the street was a different matter, but that had nothing to do with Larrys. As long as I live in the area, Larrys will be my go-to for all future HVAC needs.

The tech was early and he had called to let me know he was on his way. When he came to my door the first thing he did was to hand me a card with his name and company. When he stepped into my home he put on slippers over his shoes and used these in and out each time. Brandon was very easy to talk with and knew what he was doing. A really good guy.

We recently signed up for an annual service contract on our heat pump. The tech, John, arrived on time and did a very thorough job of evaluating the status of our system. He answered all of my questions and offered several suggestions for improving the efficiency of the system. I would not hesitate to recommend a service contract from Larrys Heating and Cooling Inc. to anyone.

The comfort consultant came out and performed a detailed assessment of our home, then provided details of several new systems to choose from and answered all of our questions regarding the differences and help us customize the system to meet our individual needs. They were able to schedule the installment in less than a week! The installers arrived on time and began removing the old system and installing the new one. Once complete, they cleaned up, gave me a walk through explaining the system in general and a quick overview of the how tos. Staff followed up with us to ensure the installment when smoothly, if we had any questions, and to make a follow up appointment with the consultant to go through warranty and any other questions. I did note there was a small amount of (not a big deal I didnt see it when we did the walk throughcleanup that got missed (several screws, and wire coverings). The staff apologized and said they would bring this up at a monthly staff meeting to remind technicians (that says a lot to me and is why I only gave 4 stars I would have like to give 4 1/2 stars). Consultant arrived for our warranty and follow up questions on time. He had everything neatly organized and walked us through the warranty and rebates and what we needed to do to receive them. He asked about how the installation went and if the technicians cleanup, and I explained. He apologized and also said it would be brought up during the monthly meeting and of course no names could be shared just a reminder. We had questions about the new thermostat. He walked us through the entire setup and explained the different setting and things that we could do with the thermostat during different times of the year... He was extremely knowledgeable of the workings of the thermostat, we learned a lot and we didnt have to read the book and try to figure it out on our own! Overall we had a wonderful experience through the entire process and would recommend Larrys Heating and Cooling! The customer service from all staff was top notch!

They put a new Lennox heat pump in my house a few years ago and it is working great. When they come out to service it they show up on time and the tech is friendly.

We moved to Yankton recently and wanted to check our heating and cooling system. We saw a truck with Larrys Heating and Cooling on the side, so called the number on their website. The person who answered the phone made an appointment for John to come check over our system. John came, answered our questions, did all that we asked. Both John and the good woman who answered the phone treated us with respect and kindness.

Roger came out and fixed our gas fireplace and checked our furnace. I was a dreadfully cold day with about 8 inches of new snow but he arrived at 8am as planned and completed all tasks.

Our 19 year old furnace failed at the beginning of below zero weather. Larrys furnace technicians gave us an itemized estimate of what it would cost to fix it and suggested we consider a new furnace. We were put in touch with Ethan Powell who gave us a detailed review of several new options with a recommendation for a completely new HVAC with a PROMOTIONAL PRICE ; installed. It was a holiday weekend and they installed it the day after the holiday. They offered us space heaters that would keep the house warm enough through the very cold temps; we only need one because we had several. The price and work was great!

Terrible experience from the start. Contacted Larry’s for a heat issue in late October. I was told by tech that I needed a completely new system. I had to continuously remind the salesman, Ethan, about installation of a different system. I was finally able to use the new system in December and had to heat my home with space heaters in the meantime. After finally getting the new install, my electric bill increased $300. After being blamed for the crazy electric bill, they sent another “expert” to look at my old system. He, too, was unable to get it to work and suggested I purchase a $200 part. I declined and decided to look into it myself. I found that the system had a few wires that were on the wrong connectors. I fixed my old system in less than an hour when their “experts” were unable to locate the issue. I invested nearly $900 of my money into a system that I didn’t need. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. The salesman also quoted me $330 for the original work but sent me a bill for nearly $600. When I asked for an itemized invoice, it was still not itemized but at the correct price. Not good business practices. If I could rate less than 1-Star, I would do so.

Failed to complete the small project I asked for. Then refused to return my calls.

Wonderful employee!Because I was having a heater issue she said that a serviceman would be out within a 2 hour period. They worked with me to have someone meet them there and arrived in an hour from when I called in.John was able to detect my furnace issue. We built a new home and contracted with Larrys for our heating and cooling as well as installation of 2 gas fireplaces. Excellent service from start to finish and they go the extra mile to make things right. From the front desk to the back store room, all the employees are professionals in each department they work in. We appreciate how they work well together and even pay their co-workers compliments. Price was fair. Both installation and service were excellent!!!

Will for starters they do have a fast service. But the reason I rate them so low is. The service tech spent 5 mins looking at my water heater and tells me its not repairable and quoted me $1,900 plus to replace it. Come to find out after he left all it needed was a $33 pressure switch. Oh and the 10 minute service call cost me $83.

John T. was the technician who came to our home. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, explained everything from what he was doing to preventative measures we could take. He was on time and did an excellent job. Hands down the best technician we have ever had do servicer work for us. I have already requested that he is always the technician that comes when possible. Also, because of the preventative program we were able to catch major problem early before it cost us a lot of money. I strongly recommend everyone to do the preventative heating and cooling plan it has already paid for itself.

Brandon did a great job of showing us exactly what needed fixed/replacing. He was very professional and efficient.

Recently we had the pleasure of Larrys Heating and Cooling doing our yearly summer checkup for our AC unit. Their technican John was wonderful. With a our first child just being born, he talked to me about how to keep our unit most efficient. He even talked me through the best way to clean the cotton from the trees out of the unit outside. He brought us a new filter too. With four dogs in the house and a new baby it was wonderful to feel I understand how my unit was working and what I could do to help keep it that way. Even how to adjust the thermostat while Im away from home. Best technican and service we have ever gotten. Thank you Larrys for all your help.

Professional, polite, clean, effective, and timely. Also take note that Larrys has been very responsive to fixing distribution to a room that wasnt getting its share. They analyzed the problem and completely replumbed the ductwork to that room and added a damper valve to cover the difference between heating and cooling. No complaints on the services they have provided on our new HVAC.

Ive used Larrys Heating and Cooling for over 4 years since moving to Yankton. They have always been very responsive and reasonably priced. Their service men are very friendly and conscientious about putting on shoe booties so as to not track dirt across our carpeting.

Their service plan is super helpful. It keeps me on a maintenance schedule without me having to do anything.

My mother got a range from them and come to find out the 10 year extended warranty doesnt cover the button board breaking. Also had to pay mileage for them to come look at it. Not a BBB accredited business
