Leavenworth Police Dispatch in Leavenworth County

Crackheads walking all over town and the police think that giving a person a ticket for doing 29 miles an hr in a 25 is a good use of tax payers money, it shows a real lack of rational thought process of just looking for an easy way to justify there time while on duty

I called to report some stranger blocking me in and forcing me to give him some money, they didnt do anything when called didnt even send a patrol because "he MAY not be in the area anymore" great job PD really feeling safe out here. They just wanted a cop to talk to me even though I told them I left as quickly as possible to head to work and wasnt there. They offered no other alternative.

Considering what an eclectic bunch the population of is the police do a fine job. Thank you all for everything you do. Just a thought for those that might be negative about the men and women who serve, could you do better and if so why arent you raising your right hand and making a difference?

When it comes to feeling safe in your community dont expect the Leavenworth Police Department to help. I was a lifelong resident of the community until my home was broken into 4 times in under 4 months, 1 of those with them actually catching him inside and he still is out and walking the streets. This individual is known throughout the department as a repeat offender and all of the officers know this being very lackadaisical with any assistance or security to me. Hell, the police chief Mr. Kitchens cannot even return a call after repeatly trying to reach him. Unfortunately I have had to relocate because I feel unsafe in the community which I use to call home. When I did speak to an officer once about my concerns he suggested a restraining order. Now honestly, they dont seem to want to be of assistance with the break-ins what makes them seriously think a restraining order would make me feel any safer?
