Lenny's Beach Bar & Grill in Sussex County

Atmosphere is great! But I will be honest, it’s a bit run down. However, they do have different types of drinks and do live music. They do have what looks to be a bar in front of the ocean view. As we saw at the time, it looked deserted and unused.

Good service and a nice spot for beach breezes. They do serve food coming from inside the hotel. The bar maid was great.

Went twice in one week. Labor Day music and then again Friday night. Such talented musicians....danced the night away.

Best fish tacos!! I wouldn’t necessarily suggest any of there other food but they have a great atmosphere as well & good drinks!

We stopped by Lenny’s for a quick drink, but we had the most amazing experience. I asked for a drink that they didn’t have, and our bar tender, Jill, created something that was better than what I asked for! I cannot thank her enough for making me feel comfortable and welcome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. An absolute hidden gem!

This is part of the Fountaine Blue hotel. We visited at lunch and in the evening. At least at lunch, the food was pretty terrible. But in the evenings, at least a couple days that we were there they had live music and bar service.Better in the evening than the day, and mostly the hotel guests. But who doesnt like live music?

It wasnt the best food , the service was not the greatest for the amount of people that were there.

Loud. So loud. So incredibly loud. It was a friendly bunch of retirees who’ve all pulled out their hearing aids and were rocking out to a Jimmy Buffett cover band.That said, its a nice space with a beach view—If not for the little kids with us we might have stayed longer.

The indoor bartender was great, he accommodated us even though we arrived close to the closing time. Food was ok, well bar food. Havent tried many items in the menu as of yet.Location is great, right in front of the Ocean. Beautiful outdoor setting.

Positives - friendly staff and good service. Negatives - food is average. Hot food seemed freshly made and was better. Salsa and guac is from a box. Also tons of plastic wasted because they use disposable cups, cutlery etc. The place is not eco friendly. Not going back.

Went 2 times today to get a drink. One mid afternoon and the other about 715 pm. Neither time did any bartender even acknowledge us.

Unfortunately, under new ownership, Lennys Beach Bar and Grill has gone downhill. No longer can one expect the quality of food, drinks, service or atmosphere that was once the norm for this hoppin beach bar named after former owner Dr. Lenny Berger. The alcoholic beverages are weak and over-iced, the food menu has been scaled back tremendously while the prices have increased on about half of the options. You are very missed, Dr. Berger. You always strived for, and delivered, quality and perfection. Sadly, this new property management company has managed to lose everything this place was known for.

This place is a little crazy and not in a good way. My friends and I went to this place for Memorial Day weekend and we should have known off rippp they were going to disappoint. First, they wouldn’t seat us upon arrival or give us menus, it was a DIY to the max. We received a Pina Colada with a hair in it, our food came in to go boxes, like ma’am if you wanted us to leave, let me know! They also gave us Tostitos chips and salsa (zero originality or taste). Another thing, I never even received my tacos( waited an hour). We ended up cancelling the tacos and the “chips and salsa” orders and left.

Amazing beach bar with great drinks. Always a good spot to kick back at and have a cold drink while overlooking the beach. The food menu is small and it is very basic, but it’s expected at a beach bar hotel and it is still very tasty. The live music in the summer is great. Been coming here with the entire family for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. We always make it a point to post up here during a beach day!

Just stopped for drinks. Have 5 stars because of the bartender there. She was doing it all. She had the entire place...bar, tables, delivering food, etc. We waited a while for our drinks but she was so friendly and had such a great attitude the entire time. She just took things in order and did the best she could.I wish we got her name but we didnt. She would be the reason to return to a place. Were there on 9/12 at about 3pm...

Fun. Beautiful. Upbeat crowd. Outside tiki bar w/drinks & food. Plenty of seating. "On the Edge" band was fabulous . . . Motown & 80s. Cant wait to go back.

Dont come to Lennys if you hope to also use their pool or hot tub. It is no longer open to the public. Have been visiting the establishment since 2005 & now we cant use t h.g e pool.So many great memories squashed in 1 afternoon!!!!

Laid back, service was good from friendly staff. Prices werent great, but it is a hotel bar & grill so I wasnt expecting bargains. Stayed at hotel 5 days and there were a few times that food took slightly too long to get made and delivered. But the sun and sand and live bands every night made it fun.

Food was great and so was our sever Jake. Their where 17 in are party with 5 kids and he did wonderful taking care of everyone

The servers were doing their best to accommodated eveyone even though they were short staffed. Great job! I also had a fabulous view of the bay n ocean from the 6th floor.

Lennys was good but reminded me of a chain restaurant just as it conveniently sits connected to a chain hotel. Wasnt sure if the steamed old bay shrimps (that you couldnt even taste the old bay), were fresh out the local grocery store freezer or out of the local grocery store sea food department. Great staff with no wow factor on the food.

Very expensive for drinks n after drinking 6 orange crushes I didnt even have a buzz. Wife said the same thing as she drank as much as me. They are stingy on liquor but very pricey for food too. There are better options for happy hour. Also, they had a live band when we 1st got there n music was loud n people were dancing but they had to turn down the volume cause someone complained at the hotel. What?? U knew that when u booked to stay there but yet u complain about live music being too loud.

Unable to order food since no vegan options on the menu. Drunks using F word amongst children. Great band. Great view.

Happy hour is awesome, our waiter Lee is friendly and on time. He anticipated my needs. They had live music and drink specials. I truly enjoy the beachside ambiance. The food is good too!

Its a pretty decent place they had decent music but the food was not good at all drinks were okay after we told them how to make them

Despite older reviews, the staff was very helpful, patient, and tentative. The food was good, particularly the wings were succulent and tender with good flavor and crispy skin. The drinks were good and decently priced for the location. There was a talented live band and lots of people dancing. Would recommend.

Drinks are not overpriced!!!! Dont believe the comments! I was a little anxious coming there because because of the comments! But NO! nothing is overpriced! Everything is fair! Service was great, food was great and the prices were great!

$$$ Great view but resort prices for super syrupy sweet drinks.$12.50 each for OC orange crushes.Drink like a local instead and get yours some place where they juice the fruit in front of you like Harborside!

Drinks are pretty good,staff not so much you have to wait a while before any servers get to you on a table, you get better service directly at the bar.

Have you ever seen “Cocktail” where the bartenders/staff enjoy their jobs on the beach, pumping out drinks, having a great time, deliver good customer service, and are raking in that sweet tourist money? This was the ~opposite~ of that. We were having a good lunch until our waitress, Christina, laid into us for asking to split a check. She also threw a fit when the bartender told her that a 7 top was coming in. She was by herself, saving this from being a 1 star review, but other people were running food nor were there more than 5 tables. When I was a waiter I loved being overbooked because it meant more $$$. If you don’t like your job, find something else to do.

Dr. Len does the best job of presenting some food and music at the Clarion resort here.But this..... New century, with respect to the pandemic and when it passes... time to step up the game.Menu needs some refreshing, entertainment needs a lift.Best waterfront view!

Well I love this place for visiting. I like to sit outside and watch the local bands play. I like to spend my Birthday weekend here. You can always find another place to stay since their prices are pretty costly.

Awesome atmosphere. Right on the beach with that ocean breeze. Great happy hour. Live, acoustic music was well done. Performer was open to requests and played for a long time. Bartender Nate was excellent, friendly and helpful. Hes also a hard worker and hustles. Highly recommend this spot.

We beached in front of the clarion the past two days. My daughter loves ordering a water with orange and cherries and the bar tenders were so sweet to her and allowed her to do so! Thank you for showing my little girl kindness!

Excellent! At Ocran City at least 2 weeks a year and Lennys is s must? Great service, entertainment and most of all great atmosphere!

Lennys is why we like staying at the Clarion. Super tasty and reasonably priced drinks. Usually have good experiences with the bar staff too, better in the evening and closer to the bar than earlier in the day at the tables. Food isnt anything special, your typical bar food but it does the trick. Live music is fun. Nice, outdoor place to wind down the night before heading to bed.

Absolutely horrible service!!! Waitress, whose name tag read Jack, was so incredibly rude and had the nerve to chase us down after we moved 10 feet into the indoor restaurant after waiting over 45 minutes to even be spoken to... the ONLY reason Im giving 2 stars is because of Adam, the bartender in Breakers, who was so incredibly kind and helpful regardless of being short staffed and swamped. He apologized over and over for his coworkers inappropriate actions which he didnt have to do. He ran around making drinks, taking orders and delivering everything without a single complaint or frown. Management you need to give him a HUGE raise and reevaluate your other rude, lazy staff because I have no intention at spending another $1,000 here for a weekend in the future based on their behavior. Adam deserves attention for his hard work!!!!! Ive worked in the industry for CENTURIES and he is a keeper!!!! Thank you Adam for saving this entire establishment.

We had fun. Service was good but my drink was a bit weak. Plenty of tables with umbrellas and chairs. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves in spite of the heat. Didnt have any food, but what I saw looked pretty good.

Way over priced for what you get. We ordered a hamburger and a hotdog. The hotdog was the worst I ever had. The hamburger was ok and the onion rings were good. Drinks are served in small plastic cups a little on the expensive side. Server checked on us one time, that was when she took the umbrella away. Sorry I can just not recommend Lennys the jungle bar three buildings down on the beach is a better bet.

Happy Hour was great. Guitar player Steve on the deck from 4-8 had the crowd clapping and singing along. Staff was courteous and attentive,. Food was very good. We had a great time. You should go listen to Steve if you enjoy live music by the ocean!

Our service was horrible, and so was the food. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what you get, and the waitress even 2nd charged our card to give herself an extra $5 tip, ontop of the $5 we already gave her. We ordered 25 minutes before our friends, and they ended up getting our food, and the waitress tried charging us for an alcoholic drink we never ordered. She was extremely snobby, and our food took forever to arrive. Once we got our food, is was small portioned, and hardly warm. Way better off taking your hard earned money elsewhere.

Lenny’s has a pretty awesome beach bar! Orange crush is on point! Service is spectacular, Nate will deliver you chicken tenders in under 30 seconds! Always kept the orange crush’s coming and great price!Thanks, Dan

Veggie burger is house made, so like most veggie patties, its mushy but seasoned well so is tasty, plenty big and the bun and veggie toppings were very fresh and appealing. The nachos have cheese sauce, not oven-melted cheese. The jalapenos are pickled and good quality.The patio has tropical plants including palm trees so its very welcoming. We enjoyed Lennys hefty much and will return again soon.Fifth star reserved for menu surprises which are not here but could be added for that top rating. (We would love to see a kale salad and/or better options for sides than a bag of chips with the veggie burger).

Food was pretty decent, staff is great, awesome spot out by the beach, and the entertainment was phenomenal. We went 3 times last week. Happy hour is 4-7, food and drink specials. Cool cool spot

We had lunch here once and tried to have evening drinks once, but were beaten back by a loud and entirely sucky rock want-ta-be singer. Its a great place for entirely mediocre burgers with defrosted patties coupled with unabashedly steep prices. Ill never return.
