Im glad I switched dental offices! I had several fillings that needed to be taken care of that were ignored at my last place. The front desk staff are friendly & helpful. Lori was great & easy on my mouth. It was so nice leaving the office without my jaw hurting for days afterwards.

I was optimistic that my first experience with Lewes Dental would be positive. Fortunately it was fantastic. The process, staff and professionals were each spectacular and fun!In particular Lori and Marianne provided great service, appropriate humor, and a warm welcoming approach to their services. Dr Tannis is clear and concise in his explanation of what steps, if any, are necessary.Overall the best possible dental experience!!!

Best dentist visit yet. Lori, Kelsey, Silvia and Cara are Tooth Gods. I’ve had great improvements with my teeth since visiting them. Extremely professional and very friendly, and you even get a hand written thank you note when you’re done.Also, they patiently explain my ridiculously confusing insurance to me. I couldn’t ask for more from a dental team.

After having one dentist for 30 years I was a bit nervous about changing since I recently moved to Lewes. Everyone was professional, friendly and caring. Carissa and Lori were awesome and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Tananis was very thorough, explaining the treatment plan that he recommended for me. It was a very good experience.

We are extremely happy with our dental care at Lewes Dental. Our entire family goes there. The staff is friendly, thorough, and patient. Lori and Kim are always happy to see us and are genuine and kind. A big bonus is that the staff at Lewes Dental works with insurance companies in the office, which is hard to find in the Lewes area. The staff at Lewes Dental are so welcoming and friendly. They made my school-aged daughters feel at ease for their cleanings. They also gave us very useful tips for maintaining good oral health. They have top notch technology and the office is very clean. Would highly recommend for the whole family!

Love this place! Started coming here after lapse in care after moving from out of state. Staff is very friendly. Kim is phenomenal and very thorough! She walks you through every step and explains everything to you. Kim’s assistant Carissa was very friendly and even offered a blanket if I got cold. Dr. T did his final check and he is always friendly and witty. Highly recommend this place and have recommended to friends and family.

I started coming here almost 4 years ago as a new resident to Lewes. I come every six months for regular cleanings and I have also needed a filling and two crown repairs/replacements. The office is modern with state of the art equipment and a highly skilled and compassionate staff. I have received excellent care and would highly recommend them.

Last week I called for an emergency appointment, and was able to be seen pretty much right away.Gale was my dental assistant. It was a pleasure to meet her.She was very friendly, and made me feel at ease.Yesterday, I came in for a cleaning with Lori. She did a great job!Andrea at checkout was friendly, and provided me with much needed information. Fabulous office!

Today was my first time at the Lewes Dental office. I had a great experience. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I felt very comfortable. Carissa and Cara at the desk were very nice, and helped making future appointments. Lori and Maria were just as nice and friendly. Everything they did was explained in detail.Dr. Tananis was very personable, and also explained everything I needed to know.

This was one of my best dental cleaning experiences ever! My hygienist Kim and her assistant Marianne were excellent: gentle, quick and caused no discomfort. I would highly recommend Lewes Dental and their services!

I started today dreading going to the dentist. I’m walking out now with a smile on my face because I know I’m in good hands. I started by meeting the practice manager, Dawn, who is also a dental hygienist. She really understood my fear of dental work. Dawn not only listened to my concerns but helped me understand exactly what would happen. She reassured me and introduced me to my dental hygienist, Lori, who is also reassuring, gentle and experienced. My main concern was being taken care of with as little pain as possible. Finally I met Dr. T . He is caring, proficient, and so reassuring. I knew I was in the right place. They spent a lot more time explaining my upcoming care with me than my previous dentists. I would still rather be sitting on the beach with a cocktail than going to the dentist, but know I still have to visit one to keep my smile! I’m glad I found a great practice and will bring the rest of my family here too.

This was my first visit to the dentist since moving. Lori and Marianne did an outstanding job together. I do not recall such a through cleaning and check up on a visit with the dentist. Dr Tannis has built a great team, both the Hygienists and front office. It is great practice,highly recommend Lewes Dental.

Being my first time I had an issue with a partial from a previous doctor that needed an adjustment; and they took care of it for me without me having to make an additional appointment. I have just had my regular cleaning and examination done and as always, the experience has been a good one. Hygienist Kim and her assistant Marianne were extremely helpful and professional and as with all the staff at Lewes Dental, make sure to put everyone at ease. Dr. Richard Tananis is the most thorough, competent and honest dentist I have ever encountered. You will not be talked into unnecessary treatments here.

We had a great first time visit to Lewes Dental! My husband and I are new to the area and we had only heard great things about this practice and its staff. We were pleased to experience this first hand. Carissa and Lori were excellent, answered all of our questions and took care of us both. The front desk staff were also excellent, answered many of my health insurance questions and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. Lewes Dental is great. I just recently started with them. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about dental care. The place is clean and has the latest technology which I like a lot. Ive had the pleasure of assistance from Lori, Dawn & Kelsey and they are wonderful.

Lori and Maria were awesome. I have somewhat of a fear of the dentist but they had me laughing most of the time and it put me a ease somewhat. It you were to judge Lewes Dental on first impression, they would get a five star rating every time. I look forward to my next appointment. Wow!! I had one of the best experiences here… Lori and Kelsey are the best! They took care of me today. They educated me in flossing so I can do it at home correctly and they were also very gentle with my cleaning. I even left with a bag of goodies!! I’m happy I found this dental office and I’ll definitely recommend it and keep coming back!! The girls are front desk are fabulous! Everyone at Lewes Dental is awesome and super friendly! I have had a terrible fear of the dentist since I was young and my fear was quickly relieved from the calming kind presence of the staff and doctor! Lori is amazing….she always has a smile on her face no matter how busy she is and always remembers to ask about my family which means a lot to me! She and Maria make a great team! I have referred several friends and co-workers and will continue to do so!!

I first went to see Dr. Tananis and the team at Lewes Dental because of an emergency situation last Fall. The office was able to manage an emergency appointment the same day. The great care and efficiency of the team sold me on this practice to take care of my longer term dental needs.Solving all my dental issues required three other appointments. Lori and Maria, my hygienist and her capable assistant, are cheerful, calming, and professional throughout my procedures. That level of care nearly makes a dental visit a pleasant experience. All in all, great work by a great team.

We have been patients for over a year now and have not been disappointed with the quality of service from the entire staff. Dr.T hires the knowledgeable and the most gentle hygienists. The office uses the most modern dental technology. I can say this having been to several other dentists. In addition, the schedulers and office coordinators are excellent communicators. They ensure are no insurance surprises and always have accurate appointment times. Lastly, Kim the Hygienist was very gentle, not rushed and the first to recommend a new service for periodontal issues.

I always have such an amazing experience at Lewes Dental. I almost always have Lori cleaning my teach and she’s fantastic! Marianna, the “tooth fairy” gave me some great pointers on making sure my teeth are in top top shape! Thank you for the fantastic service!

We found Lewes Dental when we had a change in insurance coverage. I love this place! Everyone has excellent bedside manners. Love my hygienist, Lori and her assistant, Kelsey. She is very thorough and very gentle. They dont sugar coat issues, tell you what you need to do - your decision if you do it. I have been seeing Dr T for over a year. High professional and a great guy. The front staff is great , extremely friendly. I highly recommend Kim the Hygienist, very friendly and does a great job on my teeth , Assistant Carissa is so nice a polite.

I was a new patient and Lori and Carissa were awesome to work with and treated me like I was a long-time patient from the start. I didn’t have to wait past my appointment time at all and they were very efficient and professional with constant positivity. I would recommend Lewes dental and this team to anyone!

Given that I am not fond of dentists in general, I have to say that Dr Tananis must do nice work as I have had other highly regarded dental specialists comment on the quality of the dentistry he performs. Hes also quite personable, play great music in the office, and takes some really good photos. While hes not cheap (is anyone worth his salt cheap?), I always feel hes being honest with me about what needs to be done. In other words, hes no charlatan. The folks in his practice, techs and office people are polite, kind, qualified, and have a sense of humor too.

Truly a 5 star experience. Met with the doctor first and reviewed my medical history. Then on to Maria and Lori for x-rays and teeth cleaning. They were great and lots of fun. Followed it all up with a review of my x-rays and a plan for my treatment. The women at the front desk were very accommodating and pleasant as well. I highly recommend Lewes Dental.

Kim, Marianne and Dr T make you feel comfortable. They answer all questions and explain things so you can understand it. They are sensitive to your pain and help you feel relaxed. My teeth always feel good when I leave. I love the idea of a water bottle with toothbrush, toothpaste and floss in it that they give you . The pictures in the office are beautiful and we’re taken by Dr T. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend this practice. Thanks!

The hygienist, Lori, was really good.Her assistant, Carissa, just as professional.Front desk was very accommodating.And the office manager made everything go smoothly.I cannot rate the dentist, he didnt look in my mouth today....Anyway, they made my teeth shine!!

The entire team treats me like I am special. Their personal nature and superior knowledge of their particular fields, leave the other dentists I’ve been to in the dust. The office staff is so welcoming, personable, and kind plus they are willing to answer all my questions that I may have. Dr. Tannanis and his team are surely the best! I moved here full time in 2020 and Lewes Dental was recommended by a friend. After being at my last dentist for 30 years, I didn’t expect to like any new dentist….but, both Lori and Kelsey have made my transition to a new dental practice quite flawless. From the moment I walked into Lewes Dental, I felt like I finally found my dental "home". Andrea was the first person I spoke to - she got me into their system and scheduled my first appointment.During my first appointment I had the pleasure of meeting Lori and Marianne. They explained everything about my gum disease and gave me options. It was necessary for me to find a dental practice at the last minute and in an emergency situation. I was referred to Lewes Dental for my treatments. From the minute I walked in the door I felt comfortable in the surroundings. The office is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Going to the dentist can be a stressful experience.. But Dawn, Lori and Carissa made the process so easy. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and they love their clients. I went for my teeth cleaning today and I can’t express enough how great Kim and Maria were. They’re both very friendly and make you feel comfortable. The people that work up front are always very welcoming too. I used to hate the dentist but they make my experience better every time. Best place in Lewes to go for the dentist!!
