This is a very local place...food is really good...however needs a lot of improvement with the seating and tables...also a on the cleanness....better of if you take out.

I visited this place frequently pre pandemic and just recently returned. Ordered a Jalea as an appetizer & I was annoyed it came after my my meal. I thought the point of an appetizer was to eat as you wait for your food? But not here I guess. Anyways, the Jalea did not taste like anything. The onion they spread on top was not marinated how usual peruvian spots do. It was dry and only had two yuca fries, no shrimp and was missing way more seafood. Oh and the service was terrible.There’s way better peruvian spots on bergen line than this place. Giving 2 stars because I actually enjoyed the chica morada. That’s all.

Best ceviche in town, specially if you get it spicy.

We have been trying to give a chance to our local restaurants and this one......💞 is a keeper 😋 prices are super affordable and food was yummy.We had JALEA and PESCADO RELLENO DE MARISCOS, both dishes were outstanding 👌For drinks we order a pitcher of a mix juices, pineapple,strawberry and mango, very refreshing.

Wasnt too crazy about my chicken soup. However, my dad had some beef dish. It was tasty and decent.

Food amazing, I dont like the include tip on the bill policy.Maybe I missed the sign but I had to wonder and inquire about what the new charge was...not even sure how its determined.

Great sea food here, most of the employees are nice and the atmosphere is fine as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in West NY.

Good restaurant for Peruvian food. I especially like the ceviche pescado which is raw white fish smothered in onions and lime juice. Before I met my south American wife I would never have eaten raw fish, but the first time I ate it I couldnt believe how good it was. We were a party of 6 and we ordered a jalea which is a sampler of various fried fish.Wonderful.

The staff is very rude with the customers, they impose the tip amount and also round the prices at the check out, stealing money discretely without you notice it. Dont go there unless you want to be treated bad by the Uruguayan cashier.

This rating is solely for the ceviches. I have had all of the ceviches, mixed and fish only, spicy and non-spicy. I love it. Very good. I also tried a lomo de pollo, not good. Stick to the ceviches. I’ve tried ceviches from other restaurants in Bergenline, this one is a winner. I think their cleanliness can also be something they work on, I don’t think waitresses should spray windex on to tables as other people are eating…. Smell and spray spreads.

I came to locura marina go grab a quick lunch with my father I have never been treated with such disrespect eating anywhere the food was terrible today too it tasted as if the fish was turning rotten and the waiters would have so much attitude overall the last time I go there can’t believe they would treat there customers with such disrespect

Service was terrible, the staff doesnt know any English. This makes it hard to communicate with the staff if your knowledge of the spanish language is minimal. This will make it hard for customers that dont speak Spanish that would like to try the food at this location.

3/6/21 First visit Excellent food!!!!! Service was good but it was very busy and a little slow. But it’s worth the wait everything is fresh. The chaulafan fried rice is great!!!! This place is a MUST to try. We must return!!!!!

11/15/2020 DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY ! Why ??They will charge a delivery fee with out tell you I live next to the park on 90 st and they charged me $5.00 fee with out let me know ! I now it’s $5.00 bucks do the math a month how much they steal from people. If they tell you at the beginning of your order about the fees it’s on you to order or not . Why Latino restaurant do this kind of things why ??? Do the math $5 x 10 deliveries a day $50 . Now $50 x30 a month $1500 a month .No orden de este lugar ya que te cobrar por el delivery sin dejarte saber que el delivery tiene un costo !!! A mi me cobraron $5 dólares . Son solo $5 pero al mes de todo lo que cobran sin dejarle saber a la gente Cua to es ?? $5 x 10 deliveries al dia $50 ahora $50 al mes son $1500 dólares en robo por que a si se llama cobrar algo sin dejarte saberGreat food ... service could be slow waiter will never chew on you and the bathroom are dirty most of the time. !! Service is trash, waitresses are disrespectful and non attentive. The food was OK, the dishes originally come with more than what they serve. Wouldn’t come back.

I have been in this restaurant many times but the service I recieved there today was terrible and made me really sad. The waitress was extremely rude. The person who was in the cashier was nice. I hope you can take care of that.

Prices are amazing for what you get! The decor could use work (plastic tables and low end feel). But dont confuse that with what you get to eat. great go-to for quality Peruvian food!!

Theres nothing fancy about this place but it is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The decorations are a bit too much but I get it. Its about see food! I have been to this restaurant about 6 times and the food has been fresh and really good most of the times. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. Depending on what you order you can expect to pay around $20 to $40 per person.

Best Peruvian food I have tried in a long time. They only thing is that the chairs are super uncomfortable. If not I would have given 5 stars. Service is ok to decent.

I loved this restaurant but today nothing was gpod.. lomo saltado estaba muy seco ..ceviche Cameron el maiz duro y como seco . The service was good a nice girl...it was the only thing good...I thing they change their chef...It is sad because was very good...

I’ve eaten here a few times, but on my last visit I noticed that the waitresses and the establishment already CHARGES you a TIP in the final bill. (BEWAREthey are slick and won’t say anything about it and you may end up double tipping. The food is good and you get gigantic portions. But they could be a little mistrusting and I have not returned due to that cause. Could have been a 4 star rating...Update.. returned And noticed that the plates and portions have gotten way smaller but the prices remained the same. Plato norteño (entree)shrunk by 25% $21 as seen. Papa a la huancaina $6 for 3 slices of boiled potato and half a hard boiled egg ( appetizer🤔Update... returned again, place has gone through some remodeling, waitresses are new from last visit and a lot more attentive, Price for the the Plato norteño is now $24 AND a lot smaller than last visit. Still 3 stars.STILL ISSUES WITH THE BILL, the way they bring you the check is questionable, nothing is explained on the print out, and YES, the TIP is already included, but they still don’t tell you.

Food is delicious! Service is ok, although not every waiter/tress provides the same service. My only inconvenience is that the tip is included and they dont tell you, moreover our receipt had more than one charge extra and it doesnt detail what items, I didnt want to make a big deal about it because I was with my family and for a special occasion, but this issue should be resolved or reported to the authorities regarding this!

Im not Peruvian but my baby father is and Ive been around his family for 7yrs of authentic Peruvian cooking so Im very picky when it comes too the taste of their food...I absolutely love this place whether you are eating in enjoying the under the sea theme of the place ,with great waitresses and their service. Their homemade chicha is ALWAYS amazing, or your taking your food to go you can always count on having a large portion of food with amazing home made sauces . I always mix the creamy white sauce with the green hot sauce its delicious just like their menu and ask for extra lol. 5 stars all the way ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟💫✨⭐🌟💫✨⭐🌟💫✨

My friend brought me to this place about two months ago and Ive been here a total of 8 times since my first visit.. I love their ceviche de marisco and chaufa de mariscos!!!! Five Stars all the way. Also they have really good jugo de maracuya!! Reccomend 100% if you are looking for good peruvian food.

The place used to be good. There are a lot of flies and it smells like a cat’s litter box. I noticed they added the tip as part of the bill, you would never know unless you double check the bill and of course they’re not going to say anything in hope you double tip—pretty sneaky. I will not return because of this.

Locura marina where can i start the food is fresh and delicious this restaurant is a Peruvian flavor. They specialize in sea food . The place is clean and have a cosy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and polite. I will said this is the best sea food restaurant in North bergen (bergenline avearea . So i will recommend this to anyone that loves sea food . Two thumbs up 👍👍 there prices are ok for the food that you get .from appetizers to main platter, soups, rices and side orders .also this place is a BYOB (you can bring your beer or wine into the restaurant)

Havent been here for quite a while. And it is always for the same reason. The food is great and its legitimate Peruvian food. However, the wait is ridiculous and the fact that I will litteraly get to the point of hangry to then not feel hungry at all for waiting so long shouldnt happen. Parking is insane in that area as well. Idk what they need to do but at this point somethings gotta give. If you get that much popularity you should think of moving to a bigger place or opening more restaurants and have your own huge parking garage or lot.

The service was ok. The food was fast but not for everybody, wich it was fine because we went to other places where you have to wait forever to eat. At the beginning the dishes didnt have the best looks, but the taste was great. We enjoyed to the fullest, even my son tried the ceviche and tallarin verde. Even tho the place looks like kind of crapy, the food is great. Price is ok but the tip is including in the bill, which of you dont do the math will overpay.

I used to visit this restaurant because it was near my home and the food was pretty good. But I got sick from this place twice with bad stomach virus. After the second time I got sick and I stopped going there. Getting sick from a stomach virus is the worse, I would not take another chance there.

Went here recently with my husband as we got a Groupon. I hadnt been here since long before its closing/reopening, and as he is not a native NYer I wanted him to have the experience of going. The decor is largely similar, although we couldnt go upstairs so Im not sure if that is still accessible and decorated with eggs like it used to be. The booth style seating reminded me of old movies from the 40s and things seen on Mad Men. Very classic NY. One of the things I have always liked about the RTR is that it is accessible Russian food (coming from a Russian family, even I dont like half the dishes we make, so I appreciate the ability to take the things I like about that kind of cooking and have it made it more palatable). The food itself was excellent (he had the borscht, stroganoff, and tiramisu; I had the blinchik, kulebiaka, and chocolate pyramid). I dont think coming here on a regular basis is something we can afford to do, and the food probably is over priced, but I think it was worth it for the experience to get a taste of something different from a NY institution.
