What a great business invested in our community. We have hosted job interviews here, stopped for a morning coffee and just to hang out on the patio. Honestly shocked there has been anyone upset with this business as they have always treated me with class and respect.

This is one of the best roasters anywhere! I drive 100 miles just for their coffee. Great service! Great food!

Well it was splendid and the place was well clean the environment was so calming its was like I wanted to be there or almost that I had to be there and then I drank there coffee dont even get me started its way way better then Starbucks facts ..

My husband and I love this place!!! Everything we’ve got tasted delicious and the atmosphere is really nice. You’d expect to find a place like this is a big city. A real gem for Portsmouth!

This is the nicest coffee shop ever! I’ve been coast to coast exploring coffee shops! This has always been my favorite. Coffee is delicious and food and pastries are excellent! Macarons are the best too! They also have that happy hour drink for those who prefer that. Wonderful atmosphere on the inside or a beautiful day sit outside!

This is a wonderful place to meet friends or anyone else to have some good coffee, tea, pastries, an actual meal...They also have plenty of space for groups to get together to and collaborate on projects too!

I firsttime there ask about their different bread/bun. She said it tastes like Hawaiin bun its Hawaiin bun it taste like it. Okay they just wanted to get out out of the way. Chicken salad it was okay not sure worth 12.99 for drink sandwich and big cookie. Dont thin I will go back. Hire new people who want to talk about the place.

Fantastic place. Started coming here in college and when I come home to visit, I always come here at least once. The chili is AMAZING and so are all the other treats and food they offer.

Traveler here, needed a place to do a phone call with my computer open. Was pleasantly surprised to find this is not only a nice coffee shop, but also a bar. So I had dark roast coffee with Baileys and Jamesons. My business call went swimmingly, and I discovered a new favorite place. Ill be back.

Stopped in to the shop for a quick coffee. Ended up with 2 summer cooling specialty coffees: Salted Caramel Frappe and Caramel Macchiato over ice. Oh wow! Puts all those coffee chain coffees to shame.There is indoor and outdoor seating; both with amazing ambiance.

Outstanding food and service! Whole beans roasted on site. Try some of the more adventurous menu items like pepper jelly!Whys the little humidor so empty?

Just an absolute treat in Portsmouth. Great wine, coffee, and food. Anything on the menu is superb. Sangria is bomb!

In a driving trip we found this by happenstance. Happy day! We each had a different flavor of latte and both were great! Perfect flavor and perfect level of hot. They have alcohol and food and cigars. One stop shop! We didn’t stay long as they were closing but please give this place a try. Loved the decor and they also have plenty of inside/outside seating.

Ive been here once with my girlfriend, but I was in Portsmouth for a week for work, and we stopped here every day for breakfast. Delicious coffee, delicious food, and they even serve alcohol too. Not sure why something like this hasnt been opened in Columbus. My only complaint is the price. A flat bread costs $12 or so, then an $8 coffee. Besides that, great place. Definitely would go back if Im ever down there again

Found this place by chance and so glad we did. Great coffee, staff very friendly, would love to come back and try a brunch beverage! Such a gem!

Another pretentious coffee house where the coffee is expensive and not very good - too bitter and over roasted - burnt. The place has a neat design but is dirty with dust on all the cool, but useless decor.

This place looks great. Nice wine and whiskey selection. The bakery and lunch offerings look really good as well. They have the ability to make really good coffee, but cant seem to make it work.

They have very good coffee! I typically find myself getting a caramel macchiato, or a French vanilla cappuccino. I can promise you whatever your coffee preference is, they have it and it’ll be good. Would highly recommend them!

Very impressed, first time there and they are super nice, and make a awesome Caramel Frappe, and I love all the out door sitting they have!!! Thanks everyone keep up the good work. And I recommend TRYING them out.

Great coffee, great atmosphere, bourbon drinks and cigars…Truly unbelievable! The cinnamon rolls were especially good with great cinnamon flavor. The coffee was excellent with a fresh and hearty coffee flavor. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Wonderful place! The coffee was wonderful and full of flavor! The employees were extremely helpful to my son! It was organized, the smell was absolutely exciting! Definitely will be coming back every time Im in the area! Highly recommend!

Cute spot but food is way overpriced for what you get. Ham sandwich $7, Swiss cheese, sliced ham on bread. No side. Underwhelming. And the baristas always seem to busy to take my order, not sure the deal with that.

Always a positive experience at the lofts. I do miss the cozy atmosphere it used to have inside with couches and the furniture being rearranged each day, but the coffee is decent and the workers are always very helpful.

Whats not to love about Coffee at the Lofts? With fast friendly service and prices that are comparable to larger chain franchises and amenities such as free wi-fi and a variety of seating arraignments ranging from cozy to large group tables this is simply the best coffee shop in the area.

This place has never failed to impress me, not only with their incredible selection and great tasting drinks/food, but also with the overall friendliness of the staff that not only care about what they do, but also for the customer. New favorite spot in town!

The food was really good; especially one of the flatbreads that’s we tried. A few friends of mine were able to sit outside and enjoy a well-made cup of coffee and bible study in what felt like a safe environment. While the atmosphere was wonderful I wasn’t able to give this a 5 star rating on the instance that the service wasn’t perfect. I realize they’re human though and may not have realized that their service wasn’t the best, however there was one waitress there who was a wonderful server and very kind. I do plan on going back, I truly enjoyed the day there.

Great coffee and tea. Unsettling modern, big-city, college-hipster atmosphere.Market Street Cafe has exceptional coffee as well (probably not developed by a team of coffee scientistsand a much more cozy atmosphere.

This place has great food, great coffee (and mimosas!And one of the freshest menus in town. I cant stress enough how refreshing the interior is, clean as a whistle. The workers are experienced and efficient. Love this place. Very pricey, but hey! So is Starbucks!

"Good cappuccino for there, and good beans to take home."^ This was my original review. Let me amend this. Coffee @ the Lofts is fantastic.After several disappointing, overly milky, sad excuses for cappuccino at other coffee shops across the region, I got back to Portsmouth and ordered a dry cap from the shop.It wasnt just good. It was amazing. Perfectly balanced, just enough of the milk foam sweet to give it that perfect dark chocolate bitter-sweet flavor.The beans here are good. The baristas know how to make the drinks you ask for. I cant offer any better recommendation for coffee anywhere in Portsmouth or the Portsmouth area. If youre outside Portsmouth, its worth the drive.

Great place! Id never been and had my puppy with me. I went in to purchase a water and was told free water was available in a bowl! And then the barista was kind enough to take my order outside and bring me my food and change so I wouldnt have to leave my puppy!! Wonderful and kind people and place! ♥

The best piña colada smoothie! Their coffee beverages are hit or miss depending on who makes them. Good food.

This place is excellent. It is very clean and cozy. I was impressed at how new everything looks. They brew coffee in there as well, which is cool. The food was good. I got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel, it was pretty basic phone did the job. Good coffee as well. I am making a return trip to Ohio next month and I plan on going here again.

Portsmouth is my hometown, and I was excited to be home after a couple of years and finally try this gem of a coffee house. The young mad working the register (I forget his name, but he was from Chillicothe), was so polite and very knowledgeable. I love that Portsmouth has a coffe house like this and I love that the owner is also from Portsmouth. The coffee was very good as was the food! The entire place is aesthetically pleasing. I also love that the coffee house has a full liquor license!! I cannot wait to come home again and enjoy quality and a glass of wine or whiskey with my sisters!

Very cute, chic, and trendy. They have a wide selection of syrups for your coffee or tea. They also have fun brunch, breakfest, and dinner options. Such as mimosa and waffles. For a small town I was very surprised, they also took care of things when asked. Plus they have a variety of tarts, cheesecakes and muffins.

I really love this shop, the drinks are great. I just had the food here for the first time and it was awesome. Ill definitely start coming here more regularly to work.My only complaint is that the cashier rang up my matcha latte as the default milk when I had asked for soy. I noticed the taste was off but didnt think anything of it until I checked our receipt (when I was a bit more than halfway through the drink). Being super lactose intolerant, this is going to wreck my day possibly into tomorrow. Im about half an hour post drink and its already messing me up :D

Great place with a lot of options! Coffee, tea, wine and beer all in one place? Sold! They provide pour overs and other slow brews as well as cold brews. Girst time visitor but I will be back for sure whenever I am in Portsmouth. Their indoor seating is open and spacious along with an awesome outdoor patio areas.

I love this place. Really great area people watch while eating my muffin and having my coffee. Its much easier for me to walk down the street and do my online classes in such a great non judgement free zone in this beautiful spot! The hours are great and works around my schedule well. Who can forget the fact that beer can be bought. Great Service everyone the staff begins to call you by name and very great at their jobs. One of my favorite locally owned coffee shops. They offer a wide variety of artisan coffee/tea drinks, wine, all while still offering the basics too. I love to get hazelnut blended ice frappes and bring my own travel mug for iced coffee. The setting is comfortable with a lot of natural light. Depending on the drink it can be a little more pricey, but they provide high quality ingredients. Good place to study, work, relax, or catch up with a friend!

Amazing coffee bar! Delicious coffees, teas, sandwiches, desserts and wine. Yes! Wine!! Environment is wonderful with open air garage style doors, contemporary seating, sofas, large and small tables for groups, couples or loners! Cant wait to visit again. Even though my toddler was being a... well toddler, everyone was very patient and kind with us. He had made a huge mess of his drink and they cleaned it up and gave us a new one very kindly. Everything tasted incredible! This place has it all: great coffee and food, wonderful service, and a nice atmosphere. The iced matcha latte was delicious and their latte art is pretty cute!
