Logan Cemetery in Benton County
This is the biggest national cemetery I have been to so far - if you think about why that is it gives this place even more significance. My boyfriend visited a grave here and despite how large the grounds are, it was easy to find. Very nicely kept grounds.
MoreI love Ft Logan. Beautifully kept... BUT, when my father passed and they moved my mothers info to the back of the headstone, they neglected to inform me that their policy on how they did headstones changed to something much less personal. No longer do they use his wife for example. Had they notified me of this at the time, I would have customized the stone. Be sure to question them about headstones if you are burying a loved one at Ft Logan!
MoreWe had my husbands service on Weds 9/21/22. It was very nice & so respectful.
We had a service for my parents yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful and our family was treated with the upmost respect. It was exactly what my parents would have wanted. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ~ Sandy Ponto Roby and family
MoreI attended a veteran’s burial and there is as much as at Arlington.
Beautiful place, yet so incredibly sad.
A very beautiful, respectful place for all those who have gave us our Freedoms.
Always a place of reverence and peace. An asset to our military, their respective families, our country, and local communities.
MoreFort Logan staff is amazing, and patient. Today I spoke to Theo and he was very helpful with letting me know if my husbands headstone has been placed. Every staff person I have been in touch with from November to March have been awesome! Thank You for listening to my concerns during such a stressful journey in my life.
MoreThis was my husbands final testing place they showed such respect for the fallen soldiers a beautiful place
MoreOn behalf of my Sisters and myself. I would like to thank everyone who assisted us with scheduling the move of my Father SFC Samuel Lee White from Ft Logan National Cemetery to Pikes Peak National Cemetery. We will be burring him and my Mother Bertha Reed White together today at Pikes Peak National Cemetery. Everyone was so caring and helpful and they made the entire process so easy in the most respectful way possible. I would personally like to thank Theresa who worked so patiently and professionally with me through this process. Thank you!! You have no idea what your kindness did for all of us. It was awesome to actually meet you in person. God Bless you!!
MoreWonderful volunteers and staff. Very respectful and helpful. Awe inspiring place of rest for our wonderful people who have served our country and died in action.
MoreBeautiful place to visit military souls or lost loved ones, I am proud and sad to say my grandma is buried there.🙂😭😐💂👵🤧So sad. 😔
MoreI am glad its clean, nice and quiet here. Everything is lined up so well. Beautiful place.
MoreAMAZING!!! Anytime someone goes through something this sad is Hard....BUT THEY WENT ABOVE & BEYOND & ON A HOLIDAY! They made sure my Husband & our daughters father got a burial with full honors!! The people that donated their time to be there on a holiday when they didnt have to are my HEROS!! I brought in 2 extra flags & they took the time to fold all 3 of them & present them to his 3 daughters!! They made it VERY VERY SPECIAL!! THANK YOU FOR HELPING US DURING SUCH A HARD TIME!
MoreWent there today 01/05/2020. And kinda found it a disgrace. My relatives are buried in section u with the flat markers. Had a hard time looking for them as the snow had not been cleared from the markers. I realized that this is January in Denver. But it has not snowed in quite a while. And to find the snow and ice had not been cleared from the markers is just a dishonor to these veterans that gave their all for their country.
MoreFt. Logan National Cemetary has a my parents & immediate relatives & my husbands father & mother along with very close friends of our families. My grandparents were one of the earliest buried in section A.We have been treated with the utmost respect!!! Its a beautiful, peaceful site. On the downside, we could do without the loud Harley Davidson bikers on Memorial Day. It was like a show of who had the best motorcycle & they were disrespectful revving their bikes. We couldnt even get close enough to park & walk to the graves. I actually sat & cried because we had purchased flowers for like 6 gravesites!!
MoreWe just had my mothers Inurnment today. She arrived without the urn we had purchased. Our staff person, Reed, was very helpful in calling the funeral home to fix the problem. The funeral home came almost immediately with the correct urn and the grounds people re-opened the columbarium and corrected the situation. I cant thank them enough for their professionalism and patience. I feel so blessed that Ft Logan will be moms eternal home. Thank you again.
MoreI can’t say enough about this place. It’s beautiful grounds are well manicured and represents our country in a top notch manner. I’d highly recommend coming to check this place out. Thank you to all our veterans.
MoreNice cemetery dedicated to our veterans. Beautiful grounds. I like to walk around and stop at the older graves.
MoreMy heartfelt thanks to the Fort Logan staff and the Air Force service persons. We had my dads service this last Friday, and it was amazing. My dad was honored in the highest fashion by the Air Force service members, and Daniel our cordinator. I feel so blessed my dad is home at Fort Logan, and know he is at peace. Thank you.
MoreAlways beautiful and all are treated with dignity and respect
I just cant say I love this place because in order to have been there I had to lose a very special person in my life who was my grandfather who lived with my dad my grandma and myself but they refolded my grandpas flag years later so that it would fit in that last case they sell that the triangle and they have always been helpful was anything we needed Im getting Grandpas headstone replaced when they did a poor job mowing or other things like that and they really do care about the people that are in their care forever along with the people who love them.
MoreI am privileged to be a member of the Marine Corps League, Det 1093 Honor Guard. Once or twice a month we travel to For Logan to render honors for Military funerals. It is a humbling yet awesome experience for us all. Many of the Honor Guard have made arrangements to be interred there. Strength and Honor - Salute
MoreMy father, uncle, aunt and many other family are resting here and one day so will I.
MoreOh how special the service was, how beautiful, how emotional. What a beautiful place. Exactly how our fallen heroes deserve to be remembered.
MoreMy dad’ service was June 12th, 2018. The staff were incredible. Kind, organized, prompt, & professional. The Army honors were beautiful. The words spoken were heartfelt, the silence of the flag ceremony left everyone in tears.IIt was done to military code & made me, proud to be an American. The 21 gun salute, was complete with horn. It was remarkable (Thank you, Murry & volunteers), just perfect. Everyone of you were so great! My family left there feeling..”lighter”, we all discussed how well it went. A load lifted from all. You are beautiful people. Much love and respect to each of you.Sincerely, appreciate what all of you do.-Welch, Keatley, Wagner’s
MoreI love the landscaping and the beauty of Ft Logan but on a day like today when we all need to show our gratitude and respect for those who served, I was dismayed to see the lack off effort in the flag placement at way too many grave sites. I spent 30 mins walking around straightening and pushing the flags into the ground! I give the volunteers that worked to place the flags a GIANT thumbs down. My father-in-law who is now buried there, helped my sons Boy Scout troop for 8 years do the flags at Ft Logan and taught those boys the respect necessary for this task. If the volunteers were Boy Scout troops, i say what a travesty.
MoreGreat reflection of National Actions and Support for those that protect us.
Beautifully landscaped, well maintained and a very serene resting place for those who gave so much to serve their country. My beloved father is buried there and as a retired Navy man his space is by the pond. Just beautiful.
MoreThis beautiful, historic facility dates to 1887 and was used as an Army base until 1946. The National Cemetery was established in 1950. The facility is beautifully maintained with a terrain of rolling hills, lots of trees, two large lakes, and mountain views. A volunteer team provides a moving committal service. The cemetery is open daily from sunrise to sunset with office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
MoreI come here more often than I like. The Air Force Honor Guard from Buckley does a great honor to those that are buried here. The grounds keepers show a great deal of respect for all. As a veteran of Vietnam I have witnessed many ceremonies and all demonstrate the highest respect.
MoreMy father and a dear friend, and I am sure many more acquaintances are there. I am appalled at the story that the cemetery made nice people take flags of the graves to celebrate Veterans Day. They should be ashamed of themselves, and they call themselves Americans. Sad state we live in. I love and miss you daddy, Ray Sheeon.
MorePeaceful, calm, and full of memories. R.I.P Papa(My grandpa). Best place ever to have a memory of a loved one. I love you grandpa.
MoreI have nothing but great things to say about the proprietors at Fort Logan Cemetery. Whrn my brother was brought to the cemetery for burial, the mortuary that was used neglected to schedule the military honor that was due hkm. The Cemetery proprietor said "I am going to make this right" and he did. My brother received the honor that be deserved with the military gun salute. My family thanks you so much for what you provided.
MoreI absolutely love this place! It truly is SO beautiful and such an honor for all who gave served. My Mother lies here. Kind of south of the lake, on Oklahoma. Interesting thing, she was born and grew up in Oklahoma! It is so very peaceful here, awesome in many respects. Ft.Logan Natl.Cemetery is a most to see. Extremely well carried for , helpful staff. Very historic, a must see.
MoreMy husband served 26 years proudly in the USAF and Fort Logan continues to Honor his service and life. I chose Fort Logan for not only a final resting place of dignity and honor, but also for its serene beauty. My husband loved nature and even though Fort Logan is located in the busy city of Denver you would not know it when you pull into the grounds. I continue to be greeted by many types of birds, geese and ducks. You are more apt to hear the wind blowing the leaves on the trees or the sound of water flowing from the fountain in the lake, than the busy city traffic. Fort Logan National Cemetary truly honors its soldiers and their families so that memories are eternally cherished! Thank you 🇺🇸
MoreMy brother has been buried there for 38 years. We are about to bury my father there next week
MoreMy Father and dear friends are resting in Eternal Peace here at Ft Logan. An immaculate , beautiful cemetery with a staff who are compassionate and really outstanding. Ive been coming here since 1/20/80.
MoreIve only seen this cemetry from photographs and l think its lovely I would of loved to come and wish a good farewell to one of the most kindest and caring and friendliest guys in the World, Vernon, Henry, Westbrook. US Army plot s4906 bur who was killed in 1981. We were best friends from a childhood and looked after one anothers backs until he moved to USA to see his Father it was then he decided to join the Army and ultimately the gave his life we last spoke a month before his death he was on leave and was trying desperately to come to visit but due to blizzard conditions he couldnt make it, so we had a long chat on the phone he said hed come over soon, that was the last I heard from my very best and only Buddy who can never be replaced, we were inseparable my mum used to treat him like her son. I still miss Wez as I called him very much Im 60 this year and know Ill never make it over to the States to pay my last respects to a brave lad but would love some how love a photograph of his grave which would be a little comfort to myself. If anyone can help I would much appreciate it and any info on his death. Many Thanks for your time Reading this.Barry Jackson. England for details please friend me on face book. Barry Jackson or Bushcraft Baz Thank You for your time.
MoreWent on Veterans to pay our respects. I really liked the Memorial Path. I teared up multiple times reading all the memorials.
MoreMy Great-Great-Grandfather (WWI), Great-Grandfather(WWII), Great-Grandmother(WWII), and Great-Great-Uncle(WWIIare buried here. The first time I came here was back in January of 2009 when my Great-grandmother. My best friend was buried here next to her husband at the age of 94. I dont visit as often as I used to but Ill never forget her. Be forewarned, it was a difficult task for me to locate my family members gravesites, even with the directory.
MoreThis place is gorgeous! So peaceful and immaculately up kept. Historical markers tell stories along the way and the water nearby is very soothing.
MoreI have yet to see my father and my older brother since they passed away. But I plan on doing that this week. My father served in World War 2. My older brother served in Vietnam. I served in Vietnam aboard the USS Alamo LSD 33. I will be buried in the same Cemetery.
MoreMy dear brother is buried there. His service was one of beauty and respect .I ask the office if they would take a photocopy my brothers headstone they did and emailed to me .thank you for taking good care of my brother
MoreIf you must lose a loved one this is about as good as it can be. The military knows how to take care of their own. For those who served you know that the comradery in this service is like no place else; hopefully all these vets and their significant others are enjoying that same comradery in the after life. Both my parents are there and I enjoy the visit every time Im in town.
MoreMy Grandpa and Great Uncle were both buried here. Their ceremonies were beautifully done and they and our families were treated with the utmost respect. Quiet, calm cemetery and I know they can rest peacefully there.
MoreMy mom passed away last year and my dad the year before. It was an honor to be allowed to witness the internment of my mom, who was buried with my dad. The cemetery staff do a tremendous job in taking care of the Graves. The only bad part is the people who let their dogs out to pee and poop. Please be respectful of these people who sacrificed their lives so you could be disrespectful .
MoreAnytime you have to be in touch with a cemetery, is a difficult time. The professionalism and kindness of everyone I interacted with was above and beyond what one usually experiences. They all were helpful, respectful, and comforting. A situation that is already maxed with emotion was made tolerable and even pleasant. I will never forget or cease to be grateful for the way I was helped while making the preparations to bury my mother and father at Ft. Logan.
MoreThe staff ,grounds people are very nice and very helpful and are always trying to accommodate the visitors. Do need port-a-potties available other then that its fantastic.
