This is by far the BEST "free" Sk8park with lights till 10:00 p.m. from Heber City, Utah all the way across the Wasatch Mountains. But go to the Vans park at the fairpark down town S.L.C.
Fun. But I hate fenced around skateparks
I love this park. Its the park featured in the movie Sandlot. I love sharing that with my kids. Theres an enclosed skate park here next to the pool. You can catch a trail along the Ogden River. Theres public bbq pits and a covered sitting area. This is the park that has the rodeo also. I think theres 2 playgrounds. One on the east side and the other on the west side. Theres a parking lot on each side and street parking along the park. And they have working bathrooms, but be cautious like anywhere else. I walked in with my daughter and there was a homeless man in there.
Its a free skateboarding/sports ramp park. The skatepark offers a nice area to view with 3-4 benches around the fenced area then just out side you can reach the swing park across the parking lot with public restrooms.
Went to the Alzheimers walk at Lorin Farr Park. It was beautiful. The park was very well taken care of.
If you like a river setting this is the place.
Amazing value. Great lifeguards. Wonderful pool for the kids!
The Ogden Pioneer days rodeo was great the Cowboys and Cowgirls were awesome.
Went to the pioneer days rodeo. The Ogden is the best around.
You definitely want to sit on the north side if you have a choice, it is shadier and has way more comfortable seating.
Nice its in ogden so need I say more
I grew up around this park and its came along way from back in the day. On site restrooms, coverd picnic area with bbqs, a up to date playground, skate park, and lots of trees for plenty of shade. The river is right next to it and its one of the stops on the long Ogden River walkway. Plenty of stuff for the whole family to do.
Lorin Farr Park I give it 4 stars. If your child likes to skateboard this park has a nice cement area with all the great rails drop in ect. Grass is well groomed and garbage cans cleaned regulary. Picnic tables are plenty full but you may have to make a reservation great
A lot of fun. Skate park, play ground, pavillion. Lots of grass and trees.
Such an amazing space to utilize, yet I feel sits empty a lot. Ogden is so Beautiful and I hope it stays that way!
Took my grandson and granddaughters to the park to play on the playground for a while it was really nice and quiet and peaceful nice place to be
We love the trail along the river. Skate park is nice, play structures are normal... and curious to see the pool scene one day post COVID
All of Ogdens public Parks are well maintained. This one happens to have a river side trail. A swimming pool.Ogdens Pioneer Stadium is located here as well. I attended some races and show in the stadium, that was about 16 years ago, they demolition derbys more often.
If youre a fan of the movie Sandlot youll want to visit. Sad to see it a bit run down but you can still see the blue wave wall. Lorin Farr Park in Ogden, Utah.
We get food and drinks and go to Lorin Far Park, sit relax let the kids have some fun. We love it there. Upkeep of all of it is great.
Beautiful park!Clean and welcoming
Parked here for the Ogden river walk. There was a homeless guy hanging out on the bathroom which may be frightening especially if you are alone or have children. The walk was pleasant and I would like to visit the park and pool with family sometime.
I spent a lot of time at this park when I was a kid. Back then there were a few carnival rides in the park. That was 60 years ago! Its obviously a different place now with the pool and skate park, but thats ok.
We had a picnic for Ogden City employees. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. The pavilion was clean. We had a wonderful time!!
Playground was small, but fun. Bathrooms were disgusting, and some guys had stopped by to supposedly clean about 30 mins before I used them.
Me and a couple of my grandchildren played in the river for hours. Great fun. People were happy to be around in such a fun place.
Great fun for the entire family. Skatepark is up to safety regulation. In the bathroom are nice clean and send it all around good Park
Nice little park.
Nice park next to the swimming pool. Garbage cans could be emptied on a more frequent basis but general area was very clean. We had multiple groups using the picnic table area and there was plenty of room for everyone. Nice park.
Such a cute little park. The pool where sandlot is filmed is at this park. Got to visit and walk the trail to visit the bontanical gardens and the local street art Along the little stream.
Nice big open area. The lawn was perfect. The eating area was clean and large. The restroom was clean. Good parking. Small play ground. Skate park and pool right next to it. The river walk is very pretty.
Lots of drinking, weed, fights, fireworks, a recent stabbing. Just a mess. Has really gone downhill. City Office says "were trying" but it seems like theyre trying to ignore it. And the kicker is that the parks department put a playground for young children in the same parking lot. A good combo...
Short and sweet with a rushing river at your Feet! Perfect for seniors, humans and Dogs alike!
A lovely walking trail which was great for a stroller. The trail was a bit short but it was lovely. It’s next to a playground, skatepark and aquatic center (currently closedwhich look like fun!
Great and fun park for my kids to skate at!I love how its gated in and has front row parking for lazy parents like myself that would rather sit in the car to watch.HOWEVER the other day my sons skateboard was attempted to be stolen, he had it in the park and was switching between that and his scooter. My son and friends chased boys who tried to steal it and were fortunate enough to get it back...If you watch your belongings and make sure that you know where your kids are you should have a good experience.
This is a great little park, right on the river, there is a lot going on here though the summer. Love to see how many people are out and about. 2020 is not a normal year, it will be good to have the pool open next year and the Rodeo back.
I go here for the rodeo, its pretty cool! Not much shade over the seating, its in the middle of July so its pretty dang hot remember water and sun screen The event is Very well put together for the most part. If your going outside of the rodeo The Park is HUGE with lots of big trees to have a picnic under, with restrooms playgrounds and plenty of room for the kids to run and be kids I highly recommend visiting this park you will most likely enjoy it! only reason for the 4 states is the heat.
This is a great park with a lot to do here: picnic area, playground equipment, swim center, skateboarding, plenty of shade trees and a nice trail beside the river. This park is next to the Pioneer Rodeo. Youll like it here.
Lorin farr park is close to my house in the summer when the pool is open its cheap to go 3 bucks a person. We go swimming there 3 times a week
This is a great place for kids but the pool area is kinda of small and they get pretty crowded. Thats great for the kids but it can feel a little crazy if youre just there supervising. Last time we went, it was pretty packed by noon and we didnt have a very good spot so we ended up right in everyones path. Not much shade but we made the best of it. It is a public swimming pool, its located in a beautiful park right next to the River with a paved trail to walk or ride bikes on. There is also a free skate park right next to the pool area. Overall, it was a fun place to go with a little something for everyone.
What a great park and pool! We were back picking up the rest of our stuff a year after moving to Texas. Met some friends there when the pool at the Motel 6 was out of service. Super nice and helpful staff, clean pool and area, great price. Wish I had of known about this pool when we lived in Ogden, we would have come here all the time.Nothing fancy just a nice neighborhood pool.
Great for waking your dog or riding a bike. Quiet and secluded but not lonely. Youll run into lots of kind folks out for a stroll.
Love the old trees and lush grass, perfect for a picnic, take a swim, skate at the skating park, play on the playground. This is a great park. The only problem are the bathrooms, they are filthy! Take sanitary wipes and your own toilet paper.
Fun slides. Never been to the skate park, but it must be good because theres always skaters there. Nice large field. Bathrooms flush toilets and sinks to wash, but no soap. Trash cans near pavilion.
Love this park its beautiful and its right by the river
Great place I found a stray kitten. I would give it ten stars if I could
I was in the area for the Pioneers Day Rodeo. The week before the movie The Sandlot was showing there because they had film some of it at this location at this park. They put in a skatepark that my nephew likes. Along the side is the Ogden River which is always nice to take a stroll by. Great place to visit and they schedule a lot of activities.
Youve seen this place in the greatest baseball movie ever made, so stop by do a swim!
We went to the swimming pool area and had a blast. I love the 2 different pools that include a shallow one. The only thing that was odd was that they told me young kids are not allowed down the slides even with an adult. Every other pool Ive ever been to will allow a child down the slide on the lap of their parent or with a parent waiting at the bottom. So my younger kids were a little disappointed.
Lorin Farr park is a city park with a mix of facilities, and a large grassy area perfect for a pick up game of soccer. There is a small pool with a water slide, one large and one small pavilion, two play areas, a skate park, a rodeo ground, and directly located next to the Ogden River Parkway. The facilities are a real mix. The pool is very inexpensive, but also a bit worn down. There us plenty of staff, though. And this is also where the pool scene for The Sandlot was filmed. The pavilion and playground on the east end are newer and in great shape, while the west end is older, albeit usable. The rodeo grounds are a fun place, but underused. The skate park is very clean, and always attracts a crowd. My son and I run past the place quite a bit, as well as swimming here. It is a fun hangout, but the pool does get crowded quickly, due to its small size. The only downside is that there are a lot of events here. Make sure to check the city calendar if planning something big, and dont count on the pavilion being empty.
