Food was good, but the light fixture on the table in front of us said “Dust Me” written in the dust.
We were seated and saw 3 different servers pass our table but had no one stop at our table! We were there for over half an hour with not even a let me get you a water. We got up and left! We will NEVER go back there!
Went there for a friends bday party (3 of us). They have a sign on the door about being patient with servers but our server was the issue. The business only had four tables being used divided between 2 servers. Our server was young and took forever getting our drinks. We waited so long for our chips and queso that it practically came out with the main meal and she was forgetful. With how slow the dining room was, the only assumption our table could come up with was that she had more interest hanging out somewhere else rather than be a server. We werent looking for a 5 star experience there, but were at least hoping for someone that would do their job well. And the food was mediocre. Im fine with not going again.
The food took a long time to come out, especially our drinks. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, it was just ok food for me.Overall good experience but I would try somewhere else rather than go back next time Im in the area.
Not sure what was happening here. I dont really have the energy to even begin sharing the "experience" we had tonight. I do not recommend. Anyone from Los Hermanos , Lindon Utah 10-19 is free to contact me.
I used to come here and it was so terrific, came today and it was not. The people with us that have been here before said it’s definitely not as good. The people who haven’t been here said it was pretty bad. Used to be better. We came on a Saturday evening and got seated in like 5 minutes and the place was pretty empty. It used to be packed. So sad, it used to be so good
A few years ago this restaurant was one of the best out there. A few weeks we went, the food was good but service was beyond terrible. Today we tried it again and we received microwaved cheese enchiladas that tasted old. Street tacos that were dry and gross. My so said his chimichanga was nasty. There was one waiter for the entire room so we received poor service. This restaurant used to be my fav. My entire family was so disappointed.
Be prepared to have at least one thing on your order made wrong if ordering take out. I swear every time I order here it will be the last, shame on me I guess.
The prices are slightly high for lunch. $16.00 for smothered burrito 5" long. But with that being said, the food and salsa are spectacular. As with everyone in the world, they are short staffed, our food server was very efficient and pleasant.
Food was tasty, but 2 of the 3 dishes came out cold. Service was terribly slow, I assume they had staffing issues in the kitchen but they never set any expectations. This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, but the past few visits left me a disappointed.
We came here on our first date 24 years ago and were excited to go back and try it again. Well the nostalgia was better than the current reality. Everything was OK, food, service, ambiance, but nothing was spectacular. Fun to revisit our first date location but there are probably better options now.
I like the Lindon location best. For a few years I’ve felt los hermanos food was a bit bland but this time it was not and it was wonderful. Best combo burrito I’ve had there in years!
Its our tradition to take our grandchildren to Los Hermans on Wednesdays before they enter the Missionary Training Center. Always a big send off with all the cousins. Its fun, and the missionaries eat free.
This is a go to restaurant for us. There is usually a wait time on the weekends, but well worth it. Almost always have leftovers.
We were disappointed with this visit compared with past visits. Although the restaurant wasnt as busy as with past visits, the food was delivered luke warm and wasnt as tasteful as I remembered. They posted a help wanted sign in front of the building, so they may have been short staffed.
Everything here is so good. Fancy drinks ( non alcoholicare awesome, as are the desserts and Ive loved every entree Ive tried. Its one of my favorite places to go when we visit Utah! Service is good too.
We used to enjoy eating here. Recently, we went in the very early afternoon, and had to wait about 20 minutes just to get a table. It appeared that most tables were empty. Not sure what is going on. We are probably not going back any time soon.
Great Mexican food in a lovely historic building. Highly recommend the horchata, and dont skip on the desserts! If you love plants and natural light, ask for a seat in the glassed-in greenhouse area in the back.
There was a funny smell when we entered. That should’ve been my signal to leave. We instead stayed. Our food took forever to come the kids portions were tiny for my 4 yr old. My other son got nachos and we specifically asked for just cheese. Well his plate came out with enchilada sauce and half the nachos were burned. He was so hungry but didn’t want to eat his food and I don’t blame him. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Service was super nice and helpful. Food was delicious. Love the chips and salsa
Personally, I found Los Hermanos to be extraordinarily bland. I was able to try 5 different options from the menu. I sampled the Nachos, Cheese Enchilada, Beef & Bean Burrito, Fajitas, and the Beef Taquitos. The Nachos, cheese enchilada and Beef & Bean burrito tasted exactly the same, just cheese and tortilla. The meat and beans were dry and flavorless. The Taquitos tasted like oil, the beef equally flavorless and dry. The Fajitas were ok still somehow lacking flavor. Chilis offers better Fajita for $5 less.
If you’ve had good Mexican food anywhere outside of Utah, prepare to be disappointed. Their food is incredibly bland. You can’t even smell the fajitas sizzling. The chips and salsa were really disappointing - tasted like stadium nacho chips and very watered down salsa. Honestly the best part of my meal was the Dr. Pepper.
This was our go to place in college yet it seems like things have regressed and they are having staffing issues, like most folks. The Chimi was not what I remember. I guess the memory will always be better than the reality.
Beautiful dining room and kind people who more than compensated for errors made. Delicious food.
SO DELICIOUS! I love the food. It may have been what I was craving today but it was still fresh, hot and so yummy. Beef taquitos for the win! Meals large enough to split is also a huge plus with 3 kids.Edit: if there were one thing that I wish they would improve or update it would be the bathrooms. There was only really one working toilet in the womans room when I went. Kind of in need of a renovation.
Been here a couple times. Food was good every time. Staff are friendly. Might want to make a reservation its pretty busy.
I have decades of amazing memories here. We come for celebrations, family nights, and even random lunch breaks. They have never failed to deliver amazingly delicious food. Even with all of the shortages as of late, they hold true to a fabulous experience. Im so glad they survived the crazy of the world.
Don’t even bother to make reservations online, on their website because they won’t honor it. The manager told me that they have been told not to pay attention to reservations made on their website and yet they still have that option on the site. The manager was very defensive and had no customer service skills. Craig, you need to do better. I worked at this location while I was at BYU. You didn’t foster a good work environment then and it seems that’s still the case 25 years later. We ended up having pizza across the street. No business from me again.
Estimates were way off today. They gave me a 20-25 minute estimate, and I arrived at 25 minutes to pick it up, but it took another 25 minutes to get my food. I can almost understand slow service if they are short employees (after a few months of that, my patience wears thin), but being off by twice as long in your estimates? Frustrating. Most of the food was good, some was overcooked though. (Maybe it was dry because it was ready earlier?)Response: my primary concern was not the immediacy of the order, but the horrible estimate we received.
My family really likes this place for when they come into town. They arent the cheapest or always the fastest, but the food is good. The steak (fajita, enchilada, etc.Has always been tasty.
I am going to start off with I know how hard it to be a business owner during and post Covid. However when dinning at a mexican restaurant I like to taste the flavors. The flavors were very lacking.Pricing wasnt bad however the portion for the smothered burrito was a little small. I would have paid a little more if it was a little bigger and flavors were there.Maybe next time we try them it will be a little better.
I want to like los Hermanos. We got a beef smothered burrito. It’s flavor is blander than I would like it to be, but that’s probably just my taste buds. It’s great if you want standard Mexican food. I did enjoy the chips and salsa
This place is no longer worth going to. The food is great and the salsa and chips are the best. Atmosphere is awsome. However the portions and the prices are way out of line from what they once used to be. The smothered burrito was 15.50 but shouldve been closer to $9.
My husband made me come here.. he used to go here as a kid and told me it was “the best Mexican he’s had in Utah.” I’m from Texas.. so my expectations were low.. but not this low. The chicken in our enchiladas / burrito had a tinned flavor to it. The queso was literally inedible. The chips were cold and stale. There’s also a really unclean smell to the establishment. We did receive good service however and that is why I gave 2 stars. Won’t be back.
This place has lost its charm. I dont think its been cleaned since the last time I was there 10 years ago. Back then it was very popular and I get now why it was quite empty on valentines. The seat had a puddle of water on it. The food was ok at best, fajitas were basically a pile of grease. Run down, filthy, unprofessional, and not not so good anymore. Very sad, used to be a great place.
Very nice ambiance in the Lindon location, suave old school building with fun vibes and lovely attentive servers, which was great too. But price was honestly quite high for the quantity of food, i dare say easily 25-35% overpriced for the portion sizes. Make the platos 30% bigger including desserts and there will be many more satisfied customers. Aint nobody likes top dollar pricing for mini plates. The espresso could definitely use some TLC too. Cheers to topping off those plates and to your sexy building. :)
Awful, awful experience. It should be on Kitchen Nightmares. Nothing about this place is authentic. I think maybe a missionary that went to Mexico thought they could start a Mexican restaurant. The only way youd like the food here is if youve never had authentic Mexican food before. The server was nice but overwhelmed and the horchata was really good.Thats where it ends. We had a large group of about 25. Half the table was done with their food before the other half got theirs. Those that ordered steak that requested medium rare got it well done. Chips and salsa tasted like they are bought at the grocery store. Refried beans and rice are about the same and came out barely warm.Fajitas were overdone. Hardly any veggies w/ the fajitas. The food was brought out two plates at a time with sometimes 5 minute lulls between plates coming out. The server got no help. We never saw a manager. Some in our group waited almost 60 minutes to get their food.Just an overall unpleasant experience and Ill never return there.
The food was excellant. The Brisa de Mora Negra superb. The atmosphere relaxed. I enjoyed the staff our server was friendly and suggested menu items that we might enjoy.
Not my best visit but still good. I liked that we got to sit in a separate room off from the big long main room. I am hard of hearing and being in this room it was easier to hear those in my party. We were a party of nine, out celebrating my moms birthday. Took awhile to get our drinks, chips and salsa. When they did arrive she forgot my brothers soda. He finally got it when she brought us more chips and salsa. Then when our meals finally arrived she brought out everyones except the two orders of fajitas. It took about 8-10 minutes for them to come. They were also told when the fajitas came that they were out of flour tortillas and gave them corn tortillas. I was sitting by my sister and brother-in-law and they said they didnt really enjoy them. I think they should of told them this when they ordered and not when they were brought out so they could of decided if they wanted something else.
Great food can be found here. Dont let the weathered building fool you! We took a group of 14 here, and we all left full and satisfied.
good but meh nothing special, we got free guacamole tho, waitress was understanding and helpful
Amazing food here! This is my to-go-to Mexican restaurant when in Utah. The service is great and friendly. Hardly have to wait to be seated. The portion sizes are big for a great price. Love their chips and salsa. Cant get enough of their food! Plus the atmosphere is fun! They have so many different rooms that each time my family comes here, its like a new experience.
Nothing is fresh.Guacamole from a can, beans and rice most likely from a can. Red sauce tastes like the ones bought in a can. Bathroom, floor, tables, chairs, are sticky. Theres a certain smell when you come in of old. Sad atmosphere, waitress nice but they all seem in a hurry, uninterested. Cafe rio is more fresh
I must preface my review with two caveats: 1. Ive lived 60 years in Texas, where BBQ and TexMex are king, and 2. Ive eaten at Los Hermanos in Provo, where my dining experience was much better. To start with, I was seated in the "sun room" at the back of the restaurant (pic), which was noticeably colder from leaving the warmth and comfort of the main dining floor - and this, despite the many open tables available there. After being seated, I noticed the floor under my feet was filled with lettuce and tomato scraps from a previous diner. I moved myself to an adjoining table, only to find the floor under that table covered with water. I finally found a table without a mess. When my waitress finally showed up, another waitress came in and cleaned up under the first table. I notified my waitress why I had moved, showing her the messes. The 2nd table was never cleaned under. On top of that, I realized that the ceiling over my head had large bubbles of peeling paint, where water has been leaking through from the roof (pics). Since it had just rained, I was nervous! Never dropped, but sure looked like it would any second.I ordered my a Dr. Pepper, water, Chili con Queso Los Hermanos, and the House Specialty, Taco Loco. After my drinks, the first to arrive was the Queso dip - but no chips. After a couple of minutes, my chips and salsa finally were served. I dug into the queso- bland!!! The appetizer was promised as "Our very own blend of premium cheeses, chile peppers, fresh diced tomatoes, and a medley of other choice ingredients." Well, not so. It was 99% cheese, and tasted that way - nothing to enhance and liven the taste. Total disappointment. I even added salsa to the dip, hoping to save it, to no availI (pic). I was left to the chips and salsa. However, after about 10 chips, all I had left was a bowl 1/2 full of broken pieces (pics), like I got the bottom of the barrel. So much for chips. Finally, the Taco Loco arrived. It looked great! Fresh ingredients, topped with a good-looking guacamole, tomato and black olive. I dove in!Dissapointment!! The guacamole was soooo bland, like near unsalted and very little, if any lime. And they must be using some kind of filler, because you couldnt taste the avacados at all. Just a green mush. THEN, there was the meat. I had ordered the beef Taco Loco, expecting some deliciously seasoned ground beef (the menu only says "beef"). Alas, it was pulled roast beef (pics), and NOT seasoned with any Mexican spices. Just salt and pepper. BORING!!! It was like eating a mushy green salad on top of roast beef. UGH!!!Lastly, I realized as I was eating that I had a really hard time adjusting my chair. Turns out, the floor is super tacky. The varnish is tacky, from years of use, I guess (pics). Needs a total refinish - at least in the sunroom.Overall, a VERY disappointing meal. Food bland and unseasoned, with no "Mexican" flavor at all. Place dirty, leaking and unrepaired. Wont be going back.
Great service on a busy Friday evening from Brandon. Even when some areas werent available for seating due to water invasion, they got us seated in 15 minutes. Food was just ok but didnt make us sick, like some other places. Nice, fun homogenous decor in the front room where we were seated. Converted from and old house, the restaurant has a lot of the quirks an old house would have, creaks and groans from stairs and floor and drafty windows. Thats not a terrible thing, gives it character.
This Los Hermanos is a pretty neat place. It was originally built in the 1800 and they have kept most of the original building. I loved the feel of it. But the place is so old it needs some work. I was not super excited about being sat underneath the leak in the roof. There were open buckets placed on top of puddles of water on the floor in an attempt to catch water falling from the lead paint. Based on other reviews I read it’s been this way for a while. Management really needs to get on that. Our server was Mackay and he was great. He was fun and delightful and helpful with what we should order. Although he would disappear for long periods of time and let our drinks go empty to many times for too long otherwise he was a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ server.Great place to eat nice atmosphere the whitest staff you will ever see but it’s Utah so cant really fault them on that one. But would definitely eat here again.
I LOVE Los Hermanos, not because it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever tasted but because it reminds me of my childhood. It is simple and delicious. In my opinion they do serve the best Horchata I have ever had! The one small issue I have is that I never feel that the cleanliness is up to my standards.
My experience here was not good. We had made a reservation which they forgot. Eventually, they seated us. Then, the server kept forgetting us and we had to stop him to get refills. Also, multiple drinks, and desserts were out. My wife wanted one dish, the flan, and they were out. My kids wanted root beer and they were out.I had the sampler which was smaller than I expected. However, they do offer complimentary chips and salsa with every meal.
I ordered the Jalisco Quesadilla. Absolutely loved the food. Very authentic and the staff was very fast on my order. I ordered online and it was super easy and made it so I could be in and out to get my food to go. When I arrived, the staff had me double check my order and asked me if theres anything else I needed. The food had generous amounts of sides as well.
Honestly some of the best Mexican food Ive ever had! We went there for a wedding luncheon and it was fantastic! Unlimited chips and salsa, the waitresses were very fast at serving us and we reserved a room!
