We had an issue with our 20 year old pull out sink sprayer. There was an unusual connect for this Delta Fossett and Poppy the gentleman in plumbing was amazing. He spent 30 minutes with us helping us come up with a solution. Poppy is an amazing asset for the Lowe’s in Scarborough.The next day I had to return the cold and hot water supply lines because they were not long enough and when I checked out of the self-serve check out there was a heavyset woman sitting down supervising the area and she was extremely rude. I was waiting to use one of the Checkout stations and there was no green light and she saw me waiting in line and said nothing and then a customer asked me if I was waiting in line for one and I said I was waiting for the green light to go on at the checking station. She was very curt and stated there is only a green light when someone is using the station. When I completed my transaction I said have a good day and she ignored me. She should not be in customer service or be in any position that interacts with customers.

Went in for few things. Simple walkway upgrade.Well, now Im going to stain some stairs, change out the kitchen faucet, and install walkway lighting. Oh, yeah, and the original, simple, upgrade I went in for in the first place.Great place to collect your thoughts.Just kidding. So many ideas!There is so much great equipment, tools, appliances, and supplies, that I imagine some people feel like a kid in a candy store.Wonderful, helpful associates. Pointed me in the right direction, every time.From a complete home maintenance amateur, thank you for a great first time.

Very rude behavior by Darin. I was looking for tubing or PVC for a bulkhead and he told me to just look around. I had done that already, after realizing there were different things on different aisles I was hoping to get help to narrow it down.Sensing I didnt mean it when I thanked him for all of his "help" he came back and simulated, with my fitting, how one checks to see if it fits, rudely/aggressively tossing other "props" belonging to Lowes back on their shelves.Ive come here before and got basically the same "i just work here, what do you want from me?" routine.I know help is in short supply... but this guy had way too much nerve to be treating customers that way.Given the lackluster service I have received in the past and considering the toxic behavior of their last agent, it is safe to say that I am through using this company for home repair. Anything is better than being treated so poorly by an hourly employee.

My Husband went to get lumber for a project. Got a cart filled it with the lumber needed. Set cart aside while talking with a sales person to locate other items needed. So, he went across the store to get the items needed only to return and find no cart, no lumber. Looked all over store only to find his items loaded on two palettes no cart around. He went to the area manager to have the items loaded back on a cart. Was told we dont know who off loaded the items (they have cameras), went to customer service to ask for the store manager only to be told, he was in a meeting more (BS). He went out of his way to Home Depot. All could have been avoided with a little customer service !

Was shopping for Halloween decorations. Saw a display called "Fright This Way". I didnt see it on any of the shelves, nor any labels. Asked on staff for assistance. They said they will get someone to assist. Waited a few minutes. Then another staffer showed up. Explain I would like to know if any are in stock, or if more are coming in. He went and asked his boss. She informed me that no more are coming in. I asked about buying the display at a discount, being its used and no box to carry it in. She said no, not even 10% of something like $26. Cant even find it on their website. I went ahead and bought it. But, displays should be discounted for being used if no more are coming in.

Took a day off for a kitchen redo. Had appointment, got there with no one to help! Wasted my whole day! Went to another company, very satisfied. You lost a 10k sale. Will never do business again!

Lowes has a wide variety of landscaping equipment and its easy to find what your looking for. More selection than home depot as well. Friendly helpful staff too

Our refrigerator died. Lowe’s replaced it the next day! The delivery men took the old one and made sure the new one was running perfectly. We are so grateful!

Very long story about terrible experience with LG and LG refrigerator. After weeks of frustration with company Lowes Asst Mgr Jeff G ended the whole thing in an efficient and more than satisfactory manner. He quickly identified the issue, had the brains and experience to take care of it and above all else was empowered to do so by corporate.

I usually shop this Lowes. The staff are friendly. The store is clean and well stocked. The ladies that usually run self checkout are very friendly and helpful. I just bought an appliance and there was an employee who was training. It was obvious he was a bit nervous but he was very professional and really did a good job. I felt a bit bad as customers who were a bit rude kept interrupting while he was trying to learn how to do a sale but he kept cool and helped them. Never any issues at this store.

Lowes is a well organized hardware store. A great selection and some knowledgeable people

Never have an issue going here. Sometimes their prices are a lot cheaper than Home Depot. I wish I shopped here more.

This is a good Lowes location. Ive purchased a lot of supplies here over the past few years. The staff is easy to work with too. Lastly, Ive had no issues with returns or online pick-up orders.

Good quality and selection of lumber. Knowledgeable staff, which can be sometimes a rarity in the big home improvement stores. Good selection.

Never really had a bad experience in the Lowes in Scarborough.

No one available to help move all the s#!%ty lumber and the store looked miserable.

The self-checkout kiosks are terrible and there were no other lanes open

The first employee that I saw and asked for information correctly sent me to the right area to find what I was looking for!

Went to Lowes to order a custom exterior door. I went to the section and over a span of thirty minutes I had three associates page the person that was supposed to be assisting customers in that section but no one ever came, so I left and went to Home Depot!

After 7 months of posting an initial BAD review of this store, I have returned to update that not a whole lot has changed. Their motorized carts still die within 5-10 minutes of use. Stranding me again at the back of this damn place. Associates are more concerned with making themselves scarce. Not one employee of any level has ever asked if I needed assistance when I abandon a cart and limp back out to my vehicle to leave. Go here for necessity, not for help.

I am not even going to waste my time explaining what happened to me!!! It would just be more time and hassle what this store has done to me!! I wouldnt buy anything from this place, Management lies to you and store personal do not have a clue what they are doing. I got my money back . Bought the same product at a different Lowes. It was ready for pick up next day all assebled!!!!! Whoever is Store Manager at Scabrough store needs to look around and see how things are done properly!!! The sad thing I actually had to give this store 1 star!! It didnt even deserve that!!!!!!

This is the second time in the past month where the service was dissatisfactory. Last time we waited 35 minutes to order blinds. No, it wasn’t busy. Today there was not one lumber cart available. We checked all the aisles, asked employees who basically said sorry and that we should check the aisles. !?! Asked if we could take a door off a cart that was sitting there and we were told it was an online order and we couldn’t use it. We left, went to Home Depot in Biddeford, picked up one of many carts on our way in and spent $488 in building materials. You know, the big stuff you need a lumber cart for.

Love this place! Very clean, well stocked, and I always end up finding everything I need and more.

My favorite place and a plus is 5 % off everything all the time and on the aisle there is carts with out of season items at 50% off .

We had seats at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly and very helpful with picking out dinner. Overall service was outstanding, and the food was delicious

On a Monday afternoon my husband and I spend nearly 30 minutes looking at countertop samples, cabinets and backsplash materials. Couldnt find prices and samples and brochures were missing. Sample countertops installed had no identification, about 2/3 of the backsplash material I was considering wasnt stocked. Not a soul came to wait on us, so we left empty-handed.

The employees have always been helpful and I can always find what I needed. Also, their nursery has some really nice flowers for my garden, in season. Plenty of parking, not crowded or busy, and its not hard to get to.

I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator in 2020;it stopped working 10 months after I bought it. After going through Frigidaire for a month they finally sent a repair service but were unable to repair I had an extended warranty with Lowes so once the warranty ran out ,Lowes sent a different repair service out who told Lowes it would cost more to repair it than reimburse me for the cost of repairing. .On December 3,2021, they supposedly sent a check which I never received. Even after weekly phone calls with a promise this would be resolved- It is now 2 months. Maybe the CEO could spare a little from his$23,075,881.00 salary. You are pathetic Never will I buy from Lowes or obtain another Frigidaire product.

For a large store they sure are lacking in selection of items. Staff is friendly overall but I will continue to do most of my business with Home Depot.

I worked for Home Depot for a couple of years and I was fiercely anti-Lowes . I was in a supervisory position . Now I prefer Lowes

Do not use them for any type of service beyond retail purchasing! Signed for a fence on 3/29, installation on 8/19 where the installer (3rd party set up through Lowesno call no shows, Lowes doesnt have an answer, local people have 0 actionable power and the people who call from corporate have zero power rather just put notes in their system, 9/16 Im told we have a new installer with us on the top of the list, 2 weeks later havent heard from the installer, reached out to local contacts and cant get a response. DO NOT USE FOR SERVICES THEY OUTSOURCE!

Couldnt find anything we were looking for - website says they have command strips and other hooks and even specifies which aisles, but they were nowhere to be found. Plus my bathroom stall had no toilet paper in it, so that was.... fun...

I wanted to buy a gas grill but had questions. The person (Frankwho helped from start (selection processto finish (loading in my vehiclewas the best! I couldnt have asked for a better experience!

My wife @ I are looking to buy a W/D set. Josh doesnt even work in the appliance section and he took the time to look up 4 different sets for us and answered all of our questions. We got the best customer service that you could ask for. Thank you Josh.

Spent some time getting plumbing products for a repair and faucet replacement project. Staff was very helpful at the first store and confirmed needed parts not there were in another store. Project complete !

Worst Lowes in Maine. Never get them curbside after checked in for 15 minutes and have to go inside, the other half the time I order for pickup and the orders get canceled because they dont keep an accurate inventory. Home Depot is way better.

I’ve never had worse service in my entire life. Ordered a 2k patio door. Delivery scheduled way out, understandable. Building supplies are strange right now. So wait several weeks. Schedule door for 8-1 delivery. Wait around all sat for my phone to finally ring at 1 pm with an automated service telling me my door will arrive somewhere between 1-5 pm. So wait a few more hours. Have to leave by 4pm no matter what. Call delivery company, they tell me they can neither tell me when it will arrive or help me reschedule. Only Lowe’s can. So I call Lowe’s. Get transferred twice and put on hold until I eventually just have to hang up (delivery departmentcall back and use automated system to request deliveries right away. They never answer and I get transferred back to someone else who asks where I’d like to be transferred. Ask for deliveries AGAIN. They answer and instantly put me on hold before I can even say hello. Wait on hold for 10 and hang up.Just awful aaaaaall the way around

Well the cashier didnt notice the clearance price on one of my two gallons of paint. Now mind you, we had to wait for a couple of minutes for supervisor to come over and approve the discount. The cashier then to charge through right away I then had to stand in line at customer service to have the problem corrected. Pay attention to your customer orders especially if youre waiting for a supervisor double check to make sure that everything is correct. This was not the end of the world but I have other things to do and she only had this to do

On 4/17/21 my wife and I visited the Scarborough Maine location in search for a last minute kitchen cabinet purchase to complete a project with a slim time line. Not knowing if what we needed to complete an entire kitchen would be readily available we went in blind. After browsing through a few options and deciding on a certain product line we searched for some assistance. We approached a young man, Jordan King who was working in the window blind department. Jordan which I do not believe worked in the kitchen cabinet department regularly was truly amazing. He help answer a few questions and if he did not know the answer he went out of his way to find it. He assisted in pulling several cabinets down from the shelving, made sure the configuration we needed was correct, loaded them up on 4 carts and walked us over to the customer service desk where he proceeded to check us out himself. After completing the purchased he had me pull my trailer to the front and assisted with loading every cabinet. Being truly blown away by the level of service Jordan had provided we tried to tip him but he refused. Jordan is an amazing asset and exceeded our expectations. I hope this review finds its way to upper management and he is recognized for his efforts.

This store is terrible! Asked 3 different associates for help getting something from the locked tool case. Each said they could not do it and would send help. Waited 40 minutes. No one came. I called Customer Service from the aisle and asked them to please send someone over. She said, "Ill try." Waited 10 more minutes. No one came to help me. I called Maine Hardware from the Lowes aisle and they said they had the product and would put it aside for me. Spent 5 minutes in Maine Hardware and got the tool I needed for 10% less.

I had a good experience this visit. The person at the returns counter was very helpful. She allowed me to exchange parts, as I working on my vehicles heating system and kept needing different size plastic barb hose connectors and pipe clamps. Got the project done! Grateful

I decided to shop this location in person rather than a curbside pickup or delivery. Upon entering the store, I looked up the item I was seeking to purchase. The locations App showed me which aisle and bay. Just prior to entering the aisle, I was asked by two associates whom were smiling as they spoke. After finding the item with the assistance of an associate I used self check out. I was in and out with the correct item at a very good price.

There wasnt any knowledgeable staff on hand and the shelves were not stocked properly I could not find any of the pieces and fittings that I needed and had to search and open boxes myself. Maybe you need to hire a retired plumber to run the plumbing section....? Probably would be better than a 14-year-old that does not know what theyre doing.

They had the refrigerator I wanted, and it was on sale. Home Depot had some models that couldnt even be ordered because of COVID and supply issues. Lowes seemed to have a better supply. The customer service was great as well.

The personnel at this Lowe’s is friendly and very helpful. Just one example : yesterday I bought a microwave there. The Lowe’s appliance person was extremely busy. Joni from kitchen came right over, asked me how she could help. She checked to see if my item was still on sale, verified that it was in stock and even retrieved it with a cart for me! Tim at checkout was very efficient and made sure I didn’t need help. When I got home I found one of my purchased items was missing. Soon after I got a message from Jimmy, on Cash, that he had found it. Checked to see whose it was, and then notified me.Way to go! Lowe’s employees!Susan

Really nice and helpful staff around the store, including the paint mixing area. I had plenty of people coming up to me and asking if I needed help, rather than having to hunt them down like in Home Depot. Checkout clerks tend to be a little rude and unhelpful, unfortunately, but the rest are a dream.
