Simply charming area and home, trail access, lovely couple, delicious breakfasts, beautiful room.Saw a variety of birds on the comfy back porch, a gray fox in the yard, and active beaver down the road.Relaxing biking/hiking/ walking trip along different parts of the trail, in Colton Point S.P. And Leonard Harrison SP.No cell service was a blessing.Thank you Joyce and Jim!
Great place to vacation. Great trails to hike, or sit and watch the campfire.
Such a delightful B&B! The room was extremely clean, spacious and beautiful! There was a beautiful quilt on the bed and a dormer window with a bench and a view down to the bike trail. Joyce made such delicious breakfast food! Apple stuffed french toast, egg, cheese, ham and potato casserole, homemade sticky buns and biscuits to name a few things. She also had fresh fruit out every day and a large selection of hot teas (I am not a coffee drinker). The bike trail is right out of the back yard with easy access. Jim was very helpful with everything we needed and even gave us 5 gallons of gas he had in a container because the closest gas station that was open was 25 miles away. Make sure you fill up before arriving! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Awesome b & b
This was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast and we couldnt have found a better choice. Located in such a lovely area. Jim and Joyce were perfect Hosts. Thank you for a great stay!
We loved our stay here! The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were wonderful! The porch with rockers is a highlight. Its the perfect place to relax with a beverage and view the birds at the feeder, along with other wildlife.
...this place is simply amazing. If you plan to visit the Grand Canyon area (especially if you’re going to utilize the rail trailthere is no better place to stay period!...it’s location is ideal for trips to the north and south on the trail (and if you can, you should spend some time in each direction, they are both wonderful trips and are an ideal contrast to each other), the house is spotless, the rooms are perfect, and the breakfast may just be the high point in a place that exceeds expectations on a moment to moment basis.THANKS Joyce and Jim we had a fantastic time at your place, truly an 11 on a scale of 10, and to paraphrase the immortal words of General Douglas MacArthur, “...we shall return”
Nice B&B. Good breakfast! Clean and roomy.
Genuine, warm, down-to-earth hosts who have family ties to the area for almost 50 years. Good place to spot wildlife!
We have been staying at Ludwigs Trailside for many years. The location is gorgeous and the owners are always accommodating and friendly. I would recommend Ludwigs to anyone staying in the area.
Had a great time.. Nice and clean.. Even a deer to watch.
A perfect getaway. Jim and Joyce are wonderful hosts to this peaceful retreat. The location is ideal for a nature walk or bike ride on the Pine Creek Rail Trail as it is trail front property. Its so relaxing watching the beautiful birds from the porch. And to top it off, the breakfasts were amazing!
Great hosts, delicious food and beautiful views!
Stone throws distance to rail to trail. Great fishing and hiking. Saw a bald eagle and black bear right from the cabin window!
Nice place to spend a weekend with family. Awesome seeing wildlife right near the cabin.
This was top-notch!! Very clean and pretty. The breakfasts were always so good. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The B&B is "off the beaten path" so not tons of tourist options, but the PA Grand Canyon is not far and wildlife abounds. Also, "Rails to Trails" was just at the bottom of the yard so if you would like to walk or bike this was great. There was a huge back porch with lots of rocking chairs ! (Lots of hummingbirds and other wildlife to watch when we were there. This is absolutely a GREAT place if you want to relax!!
Jim and Joyce are the best hosts. We stay for a week every year and would never consider another. If you love the country, then this is the spot. Plenty of activities year round.
Joyce and Jim do a wonderful job. Their place is just off the Pine Creek Rail Trail. The rooms are spotless, breakfast is wonderful, and hospitality super. Price is very reasonable.
