As a 4-h parent, leader and alumni lyon county 4-H is one of the best things lyon county hosts and we love that we are lucky enough to have our own fair grounds within the city limit. Parking can be a challenge especially when theres grandstand events. However its definitely worth it especially since we are a free fair to come on the grounds, you can come visit the animals and Anderson building for 4-h and open class when the entries are in place I hope that next year we have an even bigger fair and maybe more members in my club I grew up in. It may be my last one as a leader but definitely cant beat being part of lyon county 4-h.

Went to the fair. Had a great time rides were fun and kids enjoyed themselves. Wrist bands and a great deal.

Nice clean lots of things going on year round

Very enjoyable experience, however the limited space only allows for a few rides that are adult/plus size friendly. Wrist bands are $25 and games are $5

This was a good place for our visits to Emporia. We did have to work off 15amp but that was not a major issue. The shower situation was a little awkward but we have a shower in our camper, do this was not a major problem. In you in town for the Unbound gravel event, it is there place to stay. Its close to all kinds of restaurant and you can easily ride your bike to the start.

Was a mass Covid vaccination site today. It was very well organized and there was lots of room to be socially distant. Ample parking too.

Not fair time, so its not the best time to rate it. I just borrowed an open lot so I could participate in a Zoom meeting! It was great for that purpose!!

Got my first round of Covid-19 vaccine. Personnel were awesome! Thanks!

Gun & ammo expo this weekend. Went Sunday, was told it was busier Saturday. But quite a selection of items to browse.

Went For a gun show. It was very busy but very well organised. The only Bad part was the rain.

Work purposes and great clean buildings

Early voting, easy to get in and out. No big wait to vote

I saw the banners on the street. So I went in and voted.

I came out to look at the patio. Some members of a local organization asked us at Complete Works to join them at the Anderson building to discuss a project they have in mind. Its a great place for large gatherings. There is a large space for parking, most of it on gavel, that is well maintained. In fact the whole of the fairgrounds are cared for by a group of people who are dedicated to the promotion of farming, ranching and a good time with family and friends. Thanks Lyon County Fair Board!

No longer a county fair where familys visited and would bring there kids to see and pet the animals and people would come together to catch up on things. No longer a great place to meet and enjoy visiting with old friends, too commercialized. Not a place I would go to and I live just a half a block away, nothing there that interest me anymore.

Stopped by while driving through with my horse and fed and watered him before going on down the road.

The Anderson building and fairgrounds are a nice space for large events. The fair and carnival are a big annual event for locals.

Went to the demolition derby. It was pretty good this year, but it seems that there are less and less entries each year. Over all it was very fun.

Had a great time buck rumble and roll. Truck tractor pull and demo derby. Wished though more rides or different ones and more games.

Had a great time with the kids. Things are a bit expensive, but it was still a great experience

The Fair Grounds are maintained well and every even I have gone to there has been organized and perfect.

Only negative is the gravel parking lot.

Nice area for fairs and events

Growing up I absolutely loved this place! Theyve made some fantastic much needed changes to the grounds, but theyve raised prices so high that No one can afford to rent anything out there.

Participated in a Ladies Night Out and the Anderson Building was very spacious and clean.

LOCAL COUNTY FAIR FUN FOR THE FAMILY AND TO SEE THE ANIMALS

Nice improvement to the Anderson Building. Was extremely disappointed in the fair this year. Highly overpriced, almost unaffordable for families. Sad that they charge so much for wristbands and ride tickets. The games are cool but the prizes arent and it takes way too much to get anything. The grandstand events are too expensive too.

Went there for a concert. Plenty of parking area and easy to get around. The staff working there was also very friendly!

The weather was among the best ever for the Lyon County Fair and the Anderson Building looks so much nicer than before.

The renovated Anderson building is a great Improvement to the fairgrounds. It is a very nice facility with clean big restrooms, a nice break room, and a large space for whatever activities.

As far as a facility goes, it has lots of parking (graveland lots of space and lighting inside.
