id like to share my concerns as a student of this school. the main one being regarding the school washrooms. there is no nice way to put this but absolutely disgusting. there is no ventilation nor proper cleaning. there is an evident lack of privacy and is a very congested space. and this isnt one specific washroom but washrooms around the whole campus. and sanitary pads disposal is at a very pathetic condition. there used to be only one pad disposal machine in the ladies washroom which is also not functioning currently. this needs to be taken care immediately. to everybody whos contemplating on joining maharishi, kindly consider this issue.

My kid has joined maharishi Vidya mandir @ Thiruvarur branch... Highly dissatisfied... No proper coaching or no carrying... I donno how Im gng to complete dis one year here... I made 5kids parents to join here. But now, Im planning to get TC by next year. She studying grade 1 and she is 5years only. No proper carrying for kids. No aunty were sitting along with kids for lunch hours. Teachers texting me like, u have to teach ur kid to eat by herself.nan eh teach pandraduku nan yeduku school ku send pananum. After lock down, 1st time she gone to school.kids who were not eating themselves, aunty should feed them.but mam saying, no they have another work nu... Highly dissatisfied. Chetpet branch was always top in tamilnadu and by seeing that I was excited that thiruvarur they opened another branch. But in thiruvarur, MVM was not that much good in everything. Please takecare of kids and plz avoid opening during Saturdays atleast for primary children. Most of the schools were holiday today but my kid have school full day today and she studying grade 1 only.in thiruvarur MVM

Its not perfect, but it is a good school. I am an alumnus of this school (2019 batch). My review really only applies for those who studied /going to study in FIITJEE integrated program in MVMSSS, because I was one of them. I am currently studying in IIT Madras. About 100 students from MVM FIITJEE goes into IIT Madras and NIT Trichy combined each year, and there are about 300 students of FIITJEE integrated graduating out of MVM each year. So if your child is going to MVM FIITJEE integrated, he/she has a 1 in 3 chance of studying in two of the most prestigious engineering colleges in India (those are very good odds. The friends I made there are still my closest friends. I guess thats what I value the most from what I got out of MVM, the people, the connections. And the fact the school teaches meditation at such a young age is something that cant be overlooked. Most people, including me, dont realize meditations importance when they are there, but realize it later on in life. This school is probably not the best if you want your kid to be great at sports (doesnt have that much of a playgroundor other extra curricular arenas. But if you are looking for a school that will mold your kid into a good, smart kid with a bright future, this school is a really good option out of those in Chennai. But, I repeat, this review really only applies for those who study in FIITJEE integrated program in MVM.P.S: The gender ratio is extreme in the FIITJEE integrated classes with over 80% boys and less than 20% girls.

Missing our previous counsellor. I am a student of current batch. We had a student counsellor i had witnessed all my seniors seeking help from her, vijayalakshmi coach and getting hugely benefitted. They all had some one to help them professionally with psychological issues. Now no one at school. We need help to talk, to sort our our stress and to tackle our time and studies. Bring back her to our school. We in fiitjee already have too much to go with. If we dont have a person to guide us, then our days are dark. The school must bring back the same counsellor Mam. Requesting Management to take immediate steps to the welfare of the all the students.

Maharishi Vidya Mandir school is located in various places in and around Chennai but this particular branch is, in my opinion, the best place to learn. There are several different faculties for various subjects. On top of that, FIITJEE embedded IIT training is also provided here. Also, Maharishi Vidya Mandir school has the unique faculty for Meditation. Here Maharishis traditional and scientifically proven meditation method called Transcendental meditation (TMis also taught here. The primary disciple of Maharishi teaches this meditation here. This, in my opinion, is the best aspect of Maharishi Vidya Mandir school.

Average school. Children lack discipline which is the most important behaviour to be groomed at school. Some teachers neither stop nor punish when children copy in school exams (Note: there are exceptionally good teachers who do not allow such indisciplinary actions). Primary school teachers lack good English communication. Higher secondary and High school teachers are better. English communication is neither mandated nor encouraged. Management is parent- friendly, in the sense, they do not allow teachers to punish children even when they do something wrong! Teachers are not empowered to do the right thing...even if they want to. Many join here because of availability of FIIT-JEE coaching & related benefits.

This school is not as good as others say. The quality of the school facilities like labs, restrooms etc are decent but not good at all. Most of the teachers dont know proper English but that isnt a big problem in my opinion as around 50% of them manage to convey everything neatly and there are some very good teachers. However, there are teachers, especially in lower grades, who cant teach anything properly and will leave you more confused about a topic than you were before. You can forget about enjoying PTs in this school as for half of the time, the ground is occupied for something else. The ground, where you are supposed to play, is fully tiled and is the same place where a ton of other activities take place, leaving very little space for playing. The ground is used for parking buses and cars, rollerskating, and rehearsals for various stuff most of the time. And you cant play the game you want in PTs. The teachers will tell you what you have to play, and you have to play that game. The school also doesnt have a proper library. Coming to the labs, only the computer lab is good and the other labs lack in proper instruments and sometimes, the whole class has to use one single apparatus which makes it very hard for you to do the same in practicals. The fees are also high and the school definitely overcharges for what it offers. Ive been studying in this school for 7 years and Ive had to stay here due to the fiitjee programme Im in. If youre looking for a good school , there are definitely a lot more good schools in Chennai with similar fees. Dont go out of your way to enroll your child here

MUST READ - READ FULLY - MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR - MANDADU CHENNAI FRANCHISEEDUCATION QUALITY AND TEACHERS ABILITYThis is not a school ,this is a pakka money making corporate tution center,Not even 10 percentage of teachers are above average in terms of skill, knowledge, dedication. all of them simply use guides to write answers.I see too much of staffing on teachers, management and housekeeping, every one are less paid, thats how the output is..Again not even 10 % teachers are fluent in English. English fluency will be a big problem for your childs futureThey simple will finish 3-5 lessons in a period without explanationThe subject/ lessons will kept uncovered till exams,. All of a sudden a day prior to exam the entire lessons will be coveredEspecially maths teacher doesnt know the problems and always will ask the kids to refer guides, even a day prior to exam/test most of the maths problems will remain untoughtLogically all the subject has to be finished a week before exam, thus kids will have week time to revise and this is happening in over nightNursery kids get too much of home work and all the home work can be inly done by parents.Even the teacher says that the class work has to be complete at home Only and that too is parents responsibly onlyFEES AND CHARGESThey charge heftic fees and fees is increased every year.Apart from this every now and then they collect 100s to 1000s from kids for competition participations, SportsActivities, annual day, sports dayJust imagine for a small petty competition its 100* 2000 students= 200,000. (2 lakhs)If its a annual day or sports day calculated least value - 800*1500 students= 1200000 ( 12 lakhs)Using the collected money they conduct events and give certificates and medals to the childrenwho ever refuses/unable to pay these additional charges, those kids will not get certificate and medalsSo as a parent you have to pay and get a medal or participants certificate in returnAverage fees for class 5Admissions fees uniform fees and etc.. during the start of academic year approx. 25,000/- (will be collected in April and and for June reopening)Term fees 15000/- * 4 term again its 60,000/- againIncluding additional charges collected here and will come to approximately 100000 ( 1 lakh a kid a year,They charge Rs.8000/- for lkg/ukg student as a book fees but the value of the books does not exceed 1000/-8000/- as book fees for a nursery kidsDoes this really make sense?DISCRIMINATIONKinder garden teachers are very badly trained, not capable of handling those little buds,Even though there are multiple caretaker for kindergarten, your kids will be unattended, you cannot expect help for kids from the old age caretaker when the teacher are not available at classEvery thing is just a showoff in front for the parentsRelegious discrimination is the biggest problem here,. So if you are other than Hindu, pls dont admit your child hereOther relegion kids who dont say their mantra" jai guru dev" will be treated badly and that will kill your kids self confidence for everFOODDo the management dare to tell that no non veg is allowed to school during giving admissions/applicationKids are not even allowed to bring even egg in lunch, if suppose they bring they used to talk this as a sin to the childEspecially the nursery kids are not properly taken care, no individual attention to kids, no kid is happily steping in the class ever Day morningKids are not getting the enthusiasm to go to classNo ..no chips, no lays, no Wraffers, no Maggie ,no noodles,no jams,no sauseNo wonder.. one day they will tell no water and no food, fasting is healthy , so no food in schoolThe real problem is with the parentsMost of the young parents are both working, even they dont have time to do a study on the education system , school and the real need of the kid , they are fascinated by the brand names and easily got sold for these corporates tacts.

The students of MVM do not speak in good English. The school segregates students son their mother tongue n communicates in their respective languages. Ultimately communication and discipline is of prime importance. Communication and discipline is poor which Im sure. Also I hv heard MVM do not give regular feedbacks abt a their wards to the parents. PTM meeting doesnt happen regularly.

Very worst response by the NIOS co ordinator... Since one minimum star is mandatory to write the feedback, I have given one star....if the management dont know to talk to customer politely, then why the phone number is shared to contact. If this is the response, then how will they treat the students????

Maharishi vidya mandir is a very good school. They should be lot more strict with students.strict discipline should be enforced..late comers if they come three days late they should be sent back home.English speaking has to be improved.otherwise coaching is all good.Boys and girl should not be allowed to mingle freely. There should be some discipline regarding this. Teaching staff is all good.Co curricular activivies are also good.

This was definitely a good school when i put my child 6 yrs ago. over the time they start increasing the class strength which is now at 55-60 per class. most of the teachers are mothers of kids studying in mvm,who have undergone mvm teachers training program. Most of them cannot converse and write in english properly. They have a program called leapstart- which trains(?the kids in physical education. Otherwise though there is a PEd class , most of the time the PT teacher is absent. Meditation and yoga is 45 minutes of closing eyes and sitting at one place. I know a child who is in 9th std and scored 0. they say they dont pressurize the kid, but what happens when the cgpa of such kids fall too short . Will they still accommodate the child in class 11? From other parents I have heard good teachers are used for IIT JEE training. But I dont want to shift my daughter and put unnecessary pressure on her , because the regular teachers are bad. Toilets are stinking always. they have 2 different timings 6th-12th from 7.30 and below classes 8.30. This is mainly to avoid congestion as the road is incapable handling that peak hr load. this causes problems for parents if they have 2 kids and each one is leaving at one time. They have camlin writing program for lower classes ( which was a waste in my opinionas the kids are already writing a lot. All Q&A,choose, meanings etc once in class work and that has to be repeated in Home work note. They have activity classes . but your child will be with everybody from beginner to kids from previous years. So nobody will be seeing any great progress( exceptions are gymnastics, skating etc). so you need to choose cleverly. You can approach the pricipal incharge , and she will definitely listen to your worries and that it, dont expect anything to happen. This year the text books are for the entire 3 semester which ultimately the opposite of cbse system. The school bag is really heavy, when complained , we were told the child should not complain instead should withstand?? Pls talk to other parents whose kids are studying in MVM,chetpet before joining your kids as IIT JEE coaching is not everything.I have pulled out my daughter , this year and she is now in a nearby cbse school with 30 class strength,Few of her old classmates brothers and sisters ( who were poor scorereswere asked to leave the school( in 9th stdas they will obviously bring down the cgpa of the whole class in 10thIf your child is a hard core study/ book worm join the school. if the child is medicre/poor in terms of studies, please find a better place .
