Used Mayes through homeserve, they were here sept 16 for sewer line backup and their camera was broken so they did their best to clear the line. Oct 6 my basement was filled with feces again, Mayes came out again, spent 10 minutes here and said they werent allowed to use cameras again because the camera was used last time (camera was broken so it didnt get used last timeand they now claim theres a clog in my internal line not my sewer line (which is insuredand there very well may be a clog but if there is, it is from feces and toilet paper and sludge resulting from the backup in the sewer line not being resolved on Sept 16th. The plumber was absolutely rude to my adult son the entire time and there is standing water in my basement again 20 minutes after them leaving. This is an issue that happens at least twice a year from tree roots and is always resolved by clearing out the sewer line and possibly jetting the roots then clearing out the internal line from the raw sewage. I am absolutely disgusted by the service I received today. Do not use this plumber. Looking at the reviews its clear they treat all homeserve customers this way.

The workers showed up as scheduled and kept us in the loop about what was going on. The workers kept working until the job was finished. They cleaned up and left the work site clean and presentable. They did an outstanding job!

THE WORST! Do not use them!! You will regret it. They came out, did not offer to fix the problem while they were here. Also the guy admitted he was sick and coughed all over everything, did not offer to wear a mask. Then I call to schedule a follow up to fix it and they say they need to give me a quote to schedule. They give me the run around for days, I call multiple times a day and no one can tell me what stage the quote is at or how long it will take, and they say that’s normal procedure. So if you want to waste your money and never get your drain fixed, I would definitely call them!

Insurance company has used them on multiple occasions and problem is still not fixed. I called for a diagnostic and asked for a receipt and still have nothing. Would not recommend. Still have a problem and made sure insurance company does not send them back out.

David re-installef piping to water heater that had a pin hole leak. David also resolved a plumbing issue I had with the cold water piping going into my washing machine. He fixed that problem too.

Mark came out and took care of a problem I was having when the 1st floor toilet was flushed the basement toilet would shoot water out on the rim of the bowl and the floor, had some kind of blockage in the stink pipe. Mark is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly he represented Mayes & Sons with the up most quality and knowledge

We were assigned a different plumber through our home warranty and it was the stuff of nightmares. Impossible to speak with anyone who knew anything and we got the runaround for about a month. We were switched to Mayes and I’m so impressed with their communications and customer service that I’ll definitely use them again for non warranty work!

"Justin checked the main line and found it open and clearly flowing . That eases my mind. I just wish we could have resolved the odor Im getting. Im very glad there was no blockage.".Additionally: Left my home for about 2 hours to run errands and when I returned and opened the door, the odor was overwhelming. I am not going to have any choice but to call another company to assess this. I have a 1 year old here and can not tolerate this odor. Justin was here less than 30 minutes. Im glad there is no blockage in my line, but my home should not smell like a sewer. There has to be an answer and a solution.

My home was getting water backing up into our laundry room. We had a warranty with another plumber that could not provide us service so they refunded us and I called Mayes & Sons. I can not say enough about Nick! He really helped us out during this tough time. He was promot, very professional and extreamly informative about our situation. He was just so wonderful to have come out and finally help us with this problem. Nick even allowed our 2 year old to push the button to start up the water Jet (which he of course loved). Came to fix my water main. Which they did just fine. Had some issues with communication after the job was done which they did eventually rectify. After the 1st job was done I had sewr back up a few days later, they were able to get to me quickly and fix that problem as well.

Each service person who came to check for a water leak, install a new toilet and faucet were knowledgeable, professional and personable. I appreciate their kindness and their advise and finally the work that was done to resolve all my problems. Cant ask for much more than that. We initially had an appointment for the following day but not having any hot water we called and pleaded with them. They were able to move a few things around for us and had someone out here in a couple hours. Dillon, our service technician, was great. Knew exactly what to do, diagnosed and fixed our hot water heater in 15min. He moved and worked with precision and was in our opinion, an expert! We have water & sewer line insurance through Dominion. When we called Dominion because our sewer line was broken, they sent out these guys. They came out and did an assessment, then a week later a crew was out repairing the line which was broken in the middle of the street.Im really picky about repair work done to my house, and usually do all the work myself. If I did, I couldnt have done a better job than this crew. Extremely polite, didnt mind me occasionally looking in the hole to see how things were going. And I really enjoyed the "hair bands from the 80s" music they were playing. : The entire crew, but Randy in particular (one seriously hard-working dudewas awesome!Couldnt have asked for a better experience.
