Awesome park great camping area

Very pretty park. Very clean an the county sheriff patrolled through out the weekend so we felt very safe.

The barges were great to watch!

Love it. Great fishing. Beware of the alligators though.

Very nice. Enjoyed staying at Merrisach. One of our campers had to run an extra cord for electric and didnt have a water outlet to hook up to their camper. Thats the only complaint.

Great park we stayed in e10 e is not the best section no showers and a few broken picnic tables but a,c,d where very nice we will be back

I like it.i usuly catch a few fish & get to ser alot of gators & mosquitos.if u like mosquitos, swamp & hot air & fishin then this is it.oh yea & cotton mouths to.camp sites are nice lots of coons to steal ur catch & ur food.love it

Beautiful camping

Was going to camp here but backed out at last minute for a spot closer to home . Did drive down the week before and look around. Nice park with water all around, looked like it probably had some good fishing. Plan on going back when it cools off and spend a few days fishing. It is out in the middle of nowhere so bring your groceries cause its a pretty good drive back to a store.

Great camp sites great area for fishing

Used to be a great bass fishing lake with moss and clear water. Game and fish commission apparently ruined it by killing all the moss. Now its just a big mud hole. Will not be coming back. Been bass fishing there since 1980 and it was great. Not anymore!!!!!

My favorite park when it comes to that direction down south. Some of the best hunting in the state takes place within just a few miles of this park. Been staying there for years and plan on staying there even more down the road now that Im the electrician for this park.

Nice camping areas. Several places local to fishing. Planned a camping trip but Arkansas River flooded and canceled plans. Made more though, for later in summer.

This is a great place to camp or just for a day of fishing. I have been coming here for years. Its not as nice as it was a few years back. But with all the government cut backs. The people do as good of a job as they can. I still will keep returning to this place. Mainly for the years of memories i have there.

Beautiful hidden gem. People very nice. Showers and bathrooms clean. Ranger who directed us here very patient and nice. Camping spots shaded , level, and on concrete and asphalt.

Been there camping my whole family members every November . The Lammers and Jones its beautiful and peaceful. Its area and ur welcome to come. Great fishing and hunting. Also go see the locks and the dams. Been there as long as I can remember.

Lake was nice. If youre fishing or boating, maybe with your own RV, this may be the place for you. However, the facilities in loop B are currently pretty terrible, so, maybe check them out too before you choose a campsite. The only one doing any cleaning in there seemed to be the resident frog - eating some of the many, many, many bugs. Lets say I now know what frog poop looks like and by the quantity in there, that place hasnt been cleaned in a looong time. Luckily, we went to another loop to shower and that seemed rather clean and much newer. So were clear, I dont have a problem with camping, with dirt, or with bugs. Ive stayed in many campgrounds, even many USACE campgrounds (some of which were spotless). My largest objection is that the fee for camping here should be to maintain the facilities and thats not happening. And if youre not going to clean the bathrooms in some of the loops because its not your busy season, say so! And if someone thinks that restroom is fine, theres clearly a disconnect.Oh, and there also seems to be a resident raccoon. People: dont feed wild animals and put your food away!

Great place for the family.

Absolutely loved this campground! Many sites right on the lake with lots of shade & all were level. Everyone was so friendly. The views of the lake were gorgeous! Camp hosts were very helpful. Quiet & peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return!

Loved it! Gorgeous, cool to see alligators, just watch out for stumps in lake.
