Hospital is very clean! All staff members are very kind and knowledge. Everyone was very helpful and understanding. I was impressed.
Wait in ER was just long enough to sign in. Very quick. Every one of the caregivers I experienced was polite and professional and genuinely cared. Hopefully I don’t have to go back, but would recommend sincerely.
Everybody was so professional and friendly. The emergency room people were awesome, so was the nurses and the doctor when I was administrated into the hospital. I did not have one negative experience.
nice nurse pretty cute ong she ws very helpful and doing a great job with helping us
We had an absolutely great experience at Methodist South ER today. RNs Aymee and Gracie made us feel so comfortable and tended to all our needs. They answered all our questions and never made us feel like we were a bother. Dr Matti did an excellent job at listening to us and was thorough in his exams. We left feeling cared about and with good follow up instructions. Thank you the the great crew at the ER!
The best nurse that was so helpful and kind was Amy Gonzalez and the rest of the staff thank yall so much
So we went in previously and had Stephanie for our dr. She was amazing and with the overload of patients for our small town she was smiling through it all along with her RN at the registrar. They had us laughing. We came back a few days later due to some swelling that we just wanted to check out. Our RN, Aymee, greeted us with smiles and brought us back and without making either of us feel ridiculous and she listened. She made my son feel comfortable and got us in and out. She made sure to stay with us until the Dr. arrived and didn’t make us sit and wait for discharge papers. It was nice to be in and out but to know that I wasn’t going to be dismissed over the swelling.Every time there’s been an emergency, the staff has been amazing and done their absolute best to have us seen in a timely manner.
The hospital staff is pretty quick at getting people in and out in a timely manner.
Best hospital experience Ive had, the Staff were all incredibly kind, sweet, & helpful!
I had a great experience, the doctors and nurses were very helpful and patient with me. I’m so thankful my nurse Aymee got me in quickly. I had been fighting a migraine for 2 days and was very embarrassed about going in for just a headache. Her and the doctors knew exactly what to do and I was out of there feeling much better in a short amount of time it felt like. I just really want them to know how grateful I am. No words could express how much it means to my husband and I.
They where very polite. Quickly identified my problem and got me in quickly. They where really nice people. They took care of my problem asap. And they made sure that I had all the information to take care of my problem at home. I thank them for the excellent work.
Excellent staff, they went above and beyond to make sure I had the best care possible.
Went to the hospital ER from a motorcycle collision. Ended up having 2 fractured ribs after doing xrays . Just wanted to let all who read this that Dr Parker and the nursing staff were amazing. Very caring and knowledgeable. They treated me like family! Thanks so much guys!!! 5 stars
It was great it was pleasant and very helpful. I will begoing back for all my medical needs and care.
Its the 21st century and your using tablets to "fast" check people in yet I fill out the same forms , same information , same consent forms and same signatures EVERYTIME. Save your 1st go around. ANNOYING PROCESS!!!
This hospital is very efficient. They had everything mapped out and they knew exactly what procedure they would do next. They also told me. I knew what they were going to do and it helped me staycalm. I am very lucky to be 5 miles from this hospital. I plan on using them in the future when needed. Thanks for taking such good care of me.
Incredibly disappointed with this ER in my time of need. Home accident that resulted in knee/leg fracture, MCL and meniscus tear. From the time I got there to the time I left (3hrs?I sat in the waiting room for the whole visit. The FNP came out to the waiting room and saw me, discussed all my PHI. I was offered 1 ice pack and 1 tramadol. Then aftet xrays the FNP came out to the waiting area and discussed my injuries to me innfront of the whole waiting room, yes everyone listening in! (PHI and HIPPA violation). I wonder if I will be charged for a full emergency visit for being seen in their waiting room?
Getting my CT scan done was easy and painless although time consuming. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Just having to wait so long for the lab test results and then to wait for the actual test was a little long. Otherwise, easy test.
Went for a knee injury and was seen right away! The staff was wonderful and caring.
Everyone was very professional kind and respectful. In and out hardly no wait time !! Excellent way to go guys
My husband spent 5 nights in the hospital and received great care from Dr. Chen and the nursing staff.
I went it because I was having trouble breathing. The nurse that was dealing with me , I felt didn’t listen to what I was saying and seems to be in a hurry to get me out.. I asked him a few time to lower his voice because my head hurt and was like I wasn’t even there.. felt like I didn’t matter
Very nice hospital I love it. The staff are so caring and attentive. God Bless them and guide them!
Severe symptoms from a spider (Brown Reclusebite which included, skin peeling, huge blister, severe back pain and muscle spasms. Dr. Rokyta was the treating physician, he came in looked at the bite from a distance, for less than 15 seconds, while standing 5 feet away, stated there was no way to tell it was a Brown Recluse bite, and that there was no treatment that needed/could be done. He didn’t clean the bite, administer any medication for pain or anything other form of treatment, just left the huge fluid filled blister and concluded his so called exam. We had to come to another emergency hospital to seek treatment because the pain, blistering and skin peeling is progressively getting worse less than two hours later. However the hospital made sure to collect their $100 from our FSA account although they offered no treatment or services besides the physician looking at from five feet away. And on top of the malpractice, the attending nurse was rude and condescending.
My mom went into the ER with COVID pneumonia, the ER staff worked so confidently and quickly to help her stabilize. They were very knowledgeable in their field and were able to keep us calm throughout the whole ordeal going on. They explained to us what was happening, they explained to us what they were doing as they were doing it and also told us what our options were or could be in the next hours. NEVER have we ever experienced the level of care and compassion that we received here, not just my mom but my immediate family as well. After being in the ER a while she was then transferred to ICU and the same care and compassion was shown there. After being in ICU for 12 days she was then transferred to a regular room for about 2 days and then off to rehab after that, which is where we are currently. My family and I can’t thank the staff enough. This place is truly incredible and we can’t express that enough. We’ve only been in town for a little more than a year now and we’re very nervous because it was a small hospital but just because it’s small doesn’t mean they are not competent, they are more than qualified. Very respectful, compassionate, knowledgeable, I could go on. A huge thank you to Dr. Gilliland from the ER, and the staff you had with you that night. Lori, Brittany, Frances, Ene, Bobbie, Amanda, Miguel, Connie, Christina, Will, Roselle, Gina, Sarah, Belinda, Dr. Chen, Dr. Perriera, and Dr. Perry THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF OUR MOM! We are forever grateful to all of you!
Staff was very friendly and efficient. Registered, had my lab work done and was on my way within 40 minutes!
No waiting. I was immediately taken back into the ER(I was a walk-in). I was experiencing breathing issues . The nurse immediately started asking questions and started care. The nurse was Duane. Dr Parker came a while later. He ordered the needed tests. The staff did a great job in tending to me. I have been to this ER in the past. Always good service
I didnt get served lunch dinner or breakfast when I asked I just got told someone will come to my room and get my order , doctor didnt want to hear me out about my pain and take care of it I was admitted to get a stent in my kidney and they did not want to do it and said it was something else few days later went to my follow up appointment and was told it was my kidney after all very disappointed
Although I was not feeling well, the staff from the maintenance man to Dr chin nurses dietary tech. Everyone was very nice and helpful courteous. My results were a little scary but I feel better now thank youll for the compassion and care that you all gave me. And may God bless this place and people that work here and visit this place, keep up the good work 👏
The staff was very friendly and understanding. There was no wait time so I was seen right away. I was comfortable the entire time. No one was pushy about medications as i am drug free. At the end of my visit the nurse practitioner was very informative and shared lots of details with me.
Always kind and professional care at this hospital. So grateful to have them in our community.
The staff has always been very respectful and friendly every experience I have had here has been top notchMy only issue I have had was this last time the board in the waiting room wasn’t updated on my dad’s progress leaving us extremely worried something had gone wrongTo the people going into this hospital rest assured you are getting quality care and attention
We’ve been there 3 different times in the past couple of months. Our visits were in the emergency room and the attending doctors and nurses were fantastic!! We couldn’t have asked for better service and care!
I was treated very kindly by my respiratory therapist Andrew who explained all the testing as we went along and help me understand what the different graphs meant and what the different tests were measuring I also was treated very nicely by the x-ray technician who made sure I was comfortable when taking my x-rays. I would like to also add that when I arrived there instead of having to walk in with my walker and everything by myself one of the people in admin came out with the wheelchair to help me into the hospital so that I could get around easily more easily and more comfortably and then well be back out to my car when I was finished for the day.
Went in Wednesday early morning because my ears were in pain and I was having trouble hearing. They sent me home with a diagnosis of a upper respiratory problem. Doctor checked both my ears and said they were fine and to treat this as if were like Covid? Few hours later I ended up going to a different ER in San Antonio because my ear started discharging blood turns out I had a severe ear infection in both ears and had just suffered a ruptured eardrum which I feel could have been avoided if I was diagnosed properly. Now I’m having to see a specialist and I’m unable to hear very well. Who can I contact about this because receiving a bill for my services here would be a joke.
Saturday early afternoon, I was sent to the ER by the Urgent Care Clinic down the street. They got me in fast, took great care of me, were friendly and efficient, explained everything (I had a kidney stone), and all the stuff you want when you show up at a hospital and feel like crud. My thanks to them all.
Our visit was in the emergency room and the attending doctor and nurses were fantastic!! We couldn’t have asked for better service and care.
Service rendered was professional and efficient. Effective medical treatment in my case. From arrival to dismissal, I felt the staff and doctor used to the best of their abilities to help resolve the symptoms I was subjected to. I was taken seriously and respected during my visit. With many thanks to all who chose medical careers to help restore us back to good health.
Its now 11:53pm we have been here since 9pm. Have yet to be seen. This place is a joke!! if its not a major emergency save yourself the time drive to San Antonio or floresville!
This hospital is the worst. My grandmother went here and the staff was completely rude to her. She’s blind and didn’t know she had a safety pin on her pants and the X-ray tech named Candace who goes by candy was extra rude about this. Telling her not to be wearing this next time she comes. Umm excuse me she’s blind and didn’t know
Very disappointed on my daughters experience here, they made her feel uncomfortable and not wanted. The staff in the ER made comments and jokes of patients as they came in to be seen. Very unprofessional! My daughter was later found to have an ovarian cyst at a 4 which was causing her abdominal pain.
The Er was great the nurses was great. When I was admitted my nurses was great the dr on the other hand sent me home with in 23 hours still sick. My labs still showed something was wrong but as soon as they found out I had no insurance I was cut loose.
If you want to make sure you dont die, please for the love of God do not come to this hospital. I wish I would have told my story about how I had a miscarriage in this hospital. And it was a total horror story not only was I just dismissed by the doctor. They even took my unborn child from me. And told me their was nothing they could do for me. I was lucky I took a picture of my baby before they took my baby from my hand and just disappeared. Said they couldnt give me my baby made sign papers and told me had to leave. I hope this does not happen to any one else. May God have mercy on the people who run this hospital.
I only gave one start cause I couldnt leave it empty. Service was poor bad attitude from the few that attended me. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction to meds prescribed to me from a surgery I had early that morning which me and my wife diagnosed while we were waiting in the room. Doctor only checked my vitals and looked at my throat using his cell phone light, seriously! I better not receive a bill from this place its a joke next time I will change it and drive to San Antonio.
I was pleased with the support I received. I had difficulty walking and the X-Ray Technician went out of her way to get me a wheelchair. She then took me all the way out to my car. This is what I call outstanding patient care.
I understand that omicron is running rampant but I was there 10 hours just sitting and waiting and it looked like the nurses and docs were just trying to keep up waiting for test results etc. I was exhausted. But I will say they did take care of me finally and now my regular doctor is doing a follow up with me.
I went to get an antibody infusion because I tested positive for Covid-19. I had never been to this hospital because its about an hour away from San Antonio. At first I was kind of nervous, but I had the most wonderful nurse. I wish I could remember her name, but she has been a nurse for 23 years. She was kind, cheerful, and made my medical process easier.
Ive been here a few times, more than I would like. So it just depends how busy they are. But the nurses and doctors there have been friendly and helpful in trying to find treatment. When my wife was hospitalized back in September 2020, she got the care she needed and once they tried everything they could then they transferred to the San Antonio location. At that time, they did practice social distancing among visitors.
The ED staff was excellent. Dr. Parker was very concerned and very thorough. Savannah RN was our nurse and she was very efficient very caring and though she was very busy always had the time for any questions or concerns. Once my aunt was admitted is where the problem started on the MedSurg floor, the nurses there are very rude and appear to not be able to work under pressure, Every answer I got was "I dont know". The only courtesy call received was from Abigail RN. All other nurses seem to know nothing. I asked for results of a chest X-ray, nurse Annies response was "I cant tell you the results, the doctor has to call you tomorrow". After asking her "why" she responded "I dont know what to tell you". Obviously nurse management is poor! Much needed supervision there. Phone waiting times for nurses are ridiculous, and nurses do not return calls. 1 star is giving too much credit (med surge stafffor nothing. Although their ED staff is definitely 5 star!! ***** 💯
Took my 8 year old to the ER to be seen for lower abdominal pain. Asked how long the wait would be and their immediate answer was that they could not give me an estimate.Everything actually went fast. Registration came out to get us registered, the NP came out to evaluate us. We probably waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes at most. The RN and ED tech were so awesome with my daughter and you can tell everyone worked as a team. Discharge was quick… about 2 minutes after the doctor said we were done with everything the discharging nurses came in and had us on our way quickly. For my first visit to this ER it was a good experience.
