Mickey's Bar & Grill in LaPorte County

I’ve been here during a flash trip to London, this place is near my hotel. I was very impressed from the great clean I found in. My wrap kebab was delicious, they offered me some chips too ( very hot and crunchy). The staff was really kind and friendly and very cheap price for that quality! Really good! 5 star my friend!

After couple of years been here again. It was bloody delicious! Lentil soup, very delightful put a bit of their chilli sauce in it, my personal tip. Fluffy and crusty bread, cbicken doner itxs a star seasoning is fabolous. Service very commited, friendly. Go there see yourself! Keep it up Mickey!

I went here two weeks ago, I asked the man who was working on the till how much is doner and chips he didnt reply but instead he pointed towards the menu board with attitude so I looked at him and said what? He then rudely said its on the menu so I said to him whats with the attitude? Why cant you just say how much doner and chips is ? He then said when Im busy I dont like speaking to customers too much and then he said would you like to order or not?. For someone that works in customer service his behaviour was disgusting and he will definitely deter people from going to his shop. I definitely would not go here again and would not recommend others to go here, the staff dont have any manners when speaking to customers.

Terrible service. Got the order completely wrong even though I explained it 5 times and waited 25 mins for wrong food and still didn’t correct. Definitely will not come here ever again

I didnt expect to finish my falafel, hummus, and salad, but I did! It was fresh and served with warm pita. This place is a really good value.

it was mucho lengo icl but some big men were eating things which looked mad (like woodi was confused but after i got a snip from the turkish barbers i got a cheeky kebab it was beautiful

very good mainly due to its unique selling point which caused me to go to this amazing shop instead of other turkish diners

Not sure how the food is, but the service is extremely BAD.. you can be waiting in the que for 10mins but for some reason they will serve the customers they personally know first, was waiting for over 10mins but they kept ignoring me and going to a new customer who face they regonised... Honestly avoid this bad run restaurant.. Avoid like plague!!

Freshly made Turkish flatbread serves with traditional spicy source, yorgurts and hummus. Its nice and fresh cripy on the outside and hot. Hope you enjoy it too.Mixed Shish, grilled mince lamb and chicken served with salade and rice. Tasty nicely cooked and the chicken was tender with a nicely spices touch. Yummp.

delicious food and very friendly staff, and very reasonable prcies . they were even nice enough to buy a new chair for my 7 foot 3 friend who plays for the nba (nottingham ballet association)

Its just a normal cafe with typical cafe food, nothing more. The owners are Turkish but dont expect quality Turkish food!

Came many years ago and enjoyed the food but most recently I came to eat kebab with friends and food was cold tasteless. And would urge management to fix this as usually this would be a go to spot for the when come to Edgware Road until then wont be coming back

Disgusting food. Very rude staff. A piece of kebab fell on a dirty cloth and I see the guy put it back on to plate to serve someone. I was charged £50 for 4 greasy lamb shish to takeaway and it was the worst lamb shish I’ve ever eat. I threw most of it in the bin. The guy behind counter with chicken arms thinks he is rocky. My little sister would make him cry for his mum.

This is my regular place Ive been going there for over 20-years the food is great prices reasonable you should try it

Everything is wrong about this place.Racistic chef who, seeing me as Indian, refused to give cutlery made me eat with my fingers, charged me 4 pounds extra and forced me to eat old left over French fries and didnt serve rice that I ordered.I usually never give below 5 stars but this place is wrong at every level.Racistic, discriminatory and Rude if youre not a Muslim.

on 5th July 2021 at 2.14 pp, we had lamb doner meals at Mickys, meat was very chewy an rubery. I asked the waitress why this meat is so chewy. she said thats how the meat was done.at midnight both me and my husband had stomack pain and i had diarreah.Nextday I called the resturant and the waitress picked up the phone and said "everyday 100-200 people eat and nothing happend to them, why its happening to you." i find it very rude.i never had food in their resturant, i dont live there just a passager by decided to eat.i only put this on review for people awareness.

Delicious!! And really cheap, I mean I was two weeks in Europe and this is the best dish I had, and I went to many good places.------------------Its been two years since I went to Europe and I still remember it as the best dish my family and I had. The food was delicious, abundant and did I said delicious?The place is run by very nice people and very helpful because we have never had Turkish food.If I ever go to London, I will come back to this place!

I went to this takeaway for the first time and I was told that I had to wait for half an hour for just one donner kebab! I asked why an the guy replied I got an Uber delivery I need to send that delivery first and I can’t serve you just yet!! At the same time four more customers walked in an the same guy said to them I’m sorry I can’t give you lot food because I’ve got an Uber delivery an I need to sent that first.Date 14/03/2021Time around 7pm to 8pm

Before the pandemic their food was great, now their fish and chips are terrible. The fish is a lot smaller than it use to be, the pies taste hard as if they have been reheated many times before being sold, even the sausage in batter taste old and hard and can potentially break you teeth. The chip taste old and on the past 3 occasions the quality of the food has been awful. We will have to look for a new take away.

Really great food as always been coming to this place for about 5 years and it never disappoint.

Ive used this chippy for over 20 years, used to be quite good, but its gone down hill recently. Got fish recently that was burnt black on the underside. I know that the person serving knew this because he took great care in wrapping it with the burnt side down. Went back tonight and got 2 burgers, pretty horrible and one had chilli sauce that I didnt ask for. When I mentioned the burnt fish I got on my last visit I got a shrug of the shoulders. As I said, Ive been using this shop for a long time, so if they treat me this way imagine how little respect theyll have for the occasional visitor.

Excellent food, Greek based but with a great fish and chips. The complimentary starter of Turkish bread (pide), humus and yogurt dip (cacikmade this working lunch a real treat! The service was enthusiastic and friendly.

Mixed doner with rice is brilliant. The salad isnt the best. Excellent service though!Recommend their Turkish coffee too!

this place its marvellous. the food took me back to being a kid there was this old chip shop that sold these dirt chips and the taste took me back to heaven I would tell everyone that walks past here to go in even if your not hungry the smell will make you buy something the meat and chips was to die for and the lovely lady that waited on us was super she made our stay very welcome...

Great food and great service! I even got treated to complimentary Turkish tea and a delicious sweet treat to finish. A lovely find :-)

I come to London a few times a year and use this chippy on occasions. Used it last night 19 Jan. Ordered large cod to take away. The server was very pleasant. When I got it home the batter was the worst Ive tasted. Fish batter has always been crispy /crunchie and tasty. On this ocassion Im afraid the batter was stodgy and tasteless. It tasted as if it had been made with with just flour and water. Not the proper fish batter.Tried this chippy again on 9 August to try their cod again. Nothing has improved since my last trip. Think its fair to say that battered fish is not their thing.

Im always on the hunt for some good lamb meat and chips. Mickys is really good - good portion size, delicious chili sauce and garlic sauce, and they actually have seats! It was nice to be able to sit down and eat at a kebab shop. Definitely a big fan.

Great service from friendly staff and nice seating. Got mixed doner with rice for £8 and the portion size was huge, by far the best value in the area. Doner was really juicy and the rice and salad was perfect. Would definitely come back. They gave free bread and sauce as well.

Very average local diner like shop with a mostly fast food menu . The haddock is pretty good but the chicken burger looked like frozen chicken pate. 3 stars because the portions are generous and the waiters/waitresses were very welcoming and competent.

Its a decent Turkish style restaurant who serves good Turkish food. Had the Chicken and the Lamb Done (Shawarmaand it was really tasted good. The quantity is however high and one portion is more for one person.

Large portions of freshly cooked tasty food and salad. Eat in in comfort or take away. Definitely a place I would go to again and recommend. Excellent friendly service. Clean. An attractive dining area.

Fish was just ok, I liked the chips the most. I paid £10.50 for the large portion which was enough. Friendly waitress.I was a bit annoyed by the people who supply the place as they were carrying products back and forth through the eating space (which is fineslamming the back door for 45mins and the owner didnt seem to have any problem with it.

The fish and chips were amazing. The portions were huge, the large cod and chips could easily be shared between two people. They left the skin on the fish which wasnt my favorite, but it was still very good. The staff was friendly take away was a breeze.
