This Japanese restaurant is both very authentic and integrated with western fashion style of dishes. My favorite ones are its foie gras chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg custardand duck confit! Definitely a worth visting place.
Good food good service. Definitely recommended
Very delicious food, tasty and nice environment.
Welcomed warmly to our table. Menu was explained with recommended suggestions. We had 3 courses, all were generous and delicious. Good selection of wines and Beer. Baby and child friendly with coloured utensils for children. Parking was accessible. Very good night
A wonderful evening dining on beautiful Japanese food delights. Try the dessert tasting plate is a gem in hiding... dont go past it.
Food was delish, staff very friendly :)highly recommended 🤤🤤
Was delicious, staff was amazing, would definitely come back again 👌🏽
staff were so friendly, food was amazing! great value for money 😀
Unprofessional. The staff gave us the incorrect bill and undercharged us a drink which no one noticed. Later that night, they proceeded to call and message our personal phone to settle the bill that they had incorrectly given us.Felt this was a rather unprofessional way to handle this situation, considering we were frequent patrons of this establishment and had spent almost $400. Very disappointed.
Great food. They have a good bottomless option with plenty of selection
Delicious food and extremely friendly staff. Staff were provided wonderful recommendations and had in depth knowledge of the dishes being served. Will definitely be back here again soon!
Incredible service, beautiful food and unforgettable experience. Highly recommend eating here. It’s our second time eating here and we will be be coming back for a third, fourth and fifth time for sure.
Thanks Miss Kasumi! What a fabulous dining experience! The food was amazing and staff were exceptional! Highly recommended!
We ate here for dinner and the food was fresh and delicious. The floor staff were exceptional - attentive to our needs and super informative about every course. Loved it and thank you!
Nice vibe and nice food~Beef tataki taste very good! Ingredients are fresh~
Very good quality foodLove the sashimi so muchVery authentic Japanese style food, will definitely recommend to my friends 😉
This restaurant is easily one of my most favourite places to dine in Melbourne. Every single dishes served to us was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
The most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever stepped into. Not only was the food top tier but the service was top class. The servers were great and very friendly. Will definitely come back for their service and the food also!! :)
Very good value for money. Beautiful food. Excellent service.
Freshly sashimi and great quality foodsAlso service🥰Went here 4 times for gathering always the first choice
What a beautiful place, excellent food and very attentive staff. There is a little bridge in the middle of the restaurant, for accessible options please speak to staff prior to booking a table.I was having so much fun, forgot to take a picture of the beautifully presented food.
Absolutely delicious! Great service, wonderful staff, and wonderful food!!
Amazing food and service. Fast, delicious and amazing value. The people working were also lovely and really accommodating :)
Incredible food, lovely service. Truly recommend coming here and treating yourself.
Amazing food, lovely service ♡, the waitresses were so kind and hospitable! Really great decor too. Throughly enjoyed our time at Miss Kasumi!!
The best Japanese food I’ve ever had in Melbourne! The second time been here and I do miss the food sometimes, recommended!!
Such relaxing and joyful dinning experience, sashimi taste fresh and dishes were delicious. This is ideal place for dining with few good friends!
Yeah we been there for the first time. We chooses “Bottomless Feast” which you can get stuck into the whole menu as much as you can, included oysters for All You Can Eat. This visit was a big disappointment. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed and poorly managed. Service was rather slow despite it not being busy.A shame they were out of oysters, especially on a Saturday night, despite the restaurant only being a quarter full. It was overpriced for what it was. Wrong bill, it was overcharged and I had to tell them to correct it, the whole service was disjointed and we wont be returning. 👎👎👎
Didn’t quite meet my expectations. Food was alright - we had a variety of Kisume Specials, bao buns, and tempura. The standout would have to be the Kisume Specials. Atmosphere wasn’t quite there as there were kids running around and lighting was relatively harsh.
Outstanding, extremely high quality cuts of sushi, excellent service. Good wine list, beer list a little limited and thats about the only thing they could work on.
Probable the best Japanese bottomless Ive ever had 🤩🤩Service was great, food was amazing (especially the wagyu Enoki and the Miso Lamb)!!Congrats to the Chef 👍🏻It doesnt deserve the bad reviews theyve had ...
There’s a reason why no one was there when I was both timesthe bottomless feed isn’t bottomless!!!Was told I can’t have too many oysters even though I paid for bottomlessAND!!!! They are not fresh!!! Had to spit 3 out or is be really sick!!!Lobster was farmed with no flavour2 things I looked forward to where terrible!!! And the rest of the food was just ok!!! Nothing special unfortunatelyI wasted a lot of moneyI don’t recommend this place!!!!!
Booked online using google. We had the “Bottomless Feast” $79/pp, if you love seafood 🦞 🦪 that’s the option you must choose. The seafood were fresh, arrive to table efficiently and definitely worth what you paid for!*the Yuzu Duck is a no no, there was duck meat odor, yuzu sauce couldn’t even cover the smell.Recommended to try at least once.Kids friendly, also good place for large group gatherings.
I went for my birthday dinner, I honestly loved it so much! I think I liked it juuuuust abit more when there was an option of unlimited sake 😅 the food, the atmosphere, the service, just wonderful. I was also given a small drink on the house as I asked about a particular alcoholic beverage but it wasnt on the menu, the bartender actually made what I was asking for and it honestly tasted soooo amazing. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going again, please keep the sake warm for me !! ❤️❤️
What a lovely restaurant this is! beautiful decor with very good service. It has a good wine list and the fact we were offered a decanter for the red was a surprise as this is not offered very often these days. The food was excellent and the pricepoint very reasonable. We had a lovely evening and will return again. Highly recomended on all levels.
Went for the $79 premium all you can eat. Food was great and overall was good value for the quality of the food. Service was at a good pace.Unfortunately though they ran out of oysters so we couldnt order anymore which is a slight shame considering its one of the premium dishes. Best to call before and check if they gave oysters and how many are available. Have heard from others that they didnt get any oysters before as well despite paying for the premium menu. Would rate 5 stars otherwise.
If you want some high quality and premium all you can eat Japanese, try this place. Price is on the steeper side but just about worth it with what you get. I suggest to go with the $79 bottomless feast for the lobster, cod, oysters, wagyu and Sashimi additions. Dont order the unagi as it comes with rice and is a bit Boney. I would call in to check on menu items as when we visited they ran out of oysters which was annoying as we paid the same price. Ive been to Okami and Im honestly impressed by Miss Kasumis standard. All dishes are presented nicely and staff are very polite. Due to these standards, I feel that service can feel slower especially when you have starved yourself for this event and if its packed out. 6 pax is the optimum group. I recommend at least 1 visit.
Food was great , but so slow in serving
Choose the feed me menu, delicious ❤️I come twice but still want to come more times 😁
Miss Kasumi is a well presented restaurant with a good venue and location. The decor provides for a modern elegant atmosphere. Food taste good and looks fantastic. My recommendation is their signature seafood udon - both taste and texture is 10/10. I would skip the truffle chicken for 2 reasons, 1 you cannot taste or smell the truffles and the chicken is...well without the truffle aspect it was just grilled chicken. They offered house sake which was also enjoyable. Our dining experience would have scored 5 stars if it weren’t for their poor customer service. One of our guest were 5 mins early prior to opening and was told off by a staff and walked away. He could have been more friendly and offered her to sit at the bar given it the venue is opened with staff already present? Also we had to go out of our way to draw waiters attention to get soy sauce it was not delivered along with a sashimi dish. I feel their staff requires some serious training and improvement to not let down an otherwise very nice restaurant offering good food.
Summary: not a place I would return to. Average food. Poor service, equivalent to a budget Chinese restaurant.60% full on a Sunday night doesn’t need any explaining from my end.Had the 9-course Groupon $50 pp. Food came out slow as hell... (7pm all the way to 10pm), and to top it off, all 3 waitresses had this “I just wanna go home” look.If for some reason you end up there, I can only recommend the Chawanmushi and Salmon. Everything else was sub-par.
The food is great and the place has a great vibe for a romantic dinner or even catch-up with mates. Id recommend the peanut bomb for desert and for mains the mushroom Steak is pretty good. Only thing is that the food is a tad pricey for the quantity though
Good food with nice ambience... Go for the feed me option. Value for money if you can eat.
I have been here multiple times and always had the most fantastic dining experience. The staff and chef put so much care and attention into every aspect of this restaurant, and are always very lovely. I regret not taking photos as the presentation alone is impeccable, but on top of that it is also the most delicious food I’ve ever had.The menu has changed a bit recently and is accomodating the vegans (including entrees, mains, and dessert). I will definitely be back for many more meals, thanks!
A modern Japanese restaurant, the environment is fashionable and elegant, the food not only inherits the essence of Japanese materials, but also integrates modern cooking technology. Suitable for a party, recommended。
Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Japanese!!! The food is fantastic and very well priced!!! True authentic Japanese, elegantly presented. The service was impeccable also.
After endless searches for otoro in Melbourne. This place just met my expectations and more. Absolutely fantastic food. If you are looking for cheap Japanese food, this is not a place for you. The foods here are made with care. Although you pay a premium for them but I personally find it much cheaper and more valuable than any other Japanese restaurants with similar price tag (or more expensive ones).Highly recommend to try their toro sashimi and 77 degree octopus was a nice surprise.
Far too expensive for what you get. Went on new years eve with a group of 4 but they were out of almost all fresh fish! Unheard of from any decent restaurant. Dont come hungry as the serving sizes are tiny , although the scallop nigiri was some of the freshest Ive had in a while . Beautiful restaurant though , will certainly impress. Ala carte and set menus are both available
Trendy, upmarket Japanese restaurant in Kew. The decor is clean and modern with some traditional Japanese decorations. The menu gives a choice of various banquets as well as a large selection of sushi, sashimi and main dishes. There is also an extensive sake menu. The salmon toro sashimi, grilled fish collar, wagyu sirloin and unagi kabayaki were all delicious. All the food was presented beautifully. Service was efficient and helpful. Cost is on the expensive side, but matches the quality and presentation.
Amazing food. Came for lunch and they only have half a dozen options on the lunch menu. Will definitely be back for dinner soon!
