I asked for coffin nails, and I did not get what I asked for. I tried going here a few times but I’ve had such a bad experience. There was such a long wait and they weren’t busy at all. Although they are sweet people my nails came out really bad, misshaped and super thick.

Loved it! People were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing liked how they did things and listened to what you wanted and how they served their clients!

Allow me to explain the 4 out of 5 stars. Okay, so...I got my nails done on Wednesday. I had the pleasure of meeting the nail salon owner because he happened to be working that day. He did my fill-in, and it took all of 2 hours because we got lost in conversation about the mysterious of life. I have absolutely no problem with that, as I enjoy deep conversations. He also took his time and did a very thorough job of providing me with excellent customer service. However, the very next day, one of my nails cracked. It was very inconvenient for me to have to return for the repair. When I did finally make it back in, I was promptly taken care of with no charge. Sean, the owner was not there, but a very kind nail tech provided my service. So all in all, my experience wasnt awful. More like a 4.5 out of 5. I will return in the future. 💜

I will never come back to this place. I got a full set done and it only lasted for 4 DAYS ! Never again nails was popping off like I had got dollar tree nails. I will never in a million years come back to this place. I do not recommend nobody to go here.

Im disappointed. I checked my account and found out that they took more money than supposed to. I gave the tip in cash. I checked my account today they took 5 more dollars from what I gave them and they always do this.

They are so great with my daughter didn’t make her feel like a problem for being there at all if it would let me give more stars I would they deserve best nail salon I have been to ever

Ive been coming here for quite some time and within the last few months, Ive come in and there are always some type of issue. It is not consistently a positive experience. I understand prices increasing with different factors but I am paying more for less. Now all of a sudden Im forced to pay extra just to get paraffin wax when for many months I was able to get wax instead of a hot stone treatment. Due to the fact that they water down the nail polish with alcohol, my paint on my toes chip within a week, regularly.Management is not the best and often find I have most of my issues when they are in the building. Im not coming back anymore, yall have lost a loyal customer.

Wouldn’t recommend! I’d rather pay extra to a nail tech who does them properly!The amount of acrylic that she left on my skin was terrible.

I brought my 5 year old daughter here to get her nails painted for the first time. We were the only people waiting. Then 30 minutes later another customer came in. A girl from the back walks out and attends to the new customer without even acknowledging us. I will take my money elsewhere. That was very unprofessional. Maybe they assumed we were not going to spend a lot. There are plenty of nail salons around. They just lost a consumer for life.

Walked in before movie started and asked for eye brows wax told ten minutes when workers sitting around with no one. It only takes a couple of minutes. Won’t go back .

Go somewhere else. If in Orange Park area, make an appointment with Asky nails. Look them up.The technician didn’t know what I had on my nails from my preferred store. I ended up getting basic gel manicure and pedicure. My nails were so weak and brittle, the polish cracked. Lasted for a week. Way overpriced for service received.

My gel manicure peeled off after 5 days,and my moms acrylic s are lopsided and unevenly painted. Nice ladys just wish the outcome was better for 130 dollars.

They need to ask the customer what they want and dont just do what the nail tec thinks and expect to charge whatever they want...never recommend this place ever ...I was charged way too much....Do not go to this place....they do horrible work

Poor excuse for a pedicure. Never seen the foot grater with no skin in it after a month with no pedicure.. he just slipped and slid the scrubber around and tapped my foot to put it in the water. He was lotioning my legs and I had to tell him to get my cuticles. Just 😖 awful.

Technicians are filthy and dont care about the service they are providing. They do a horrible job on your nails and move on to the next customer without washing the their hands. Its almost done on purpose. I witnessed a tech go from a pedicure on one customer to do nails on the next customer without washing her hands. Theyre overpriced and after having a full set done there three times- I will never go again. The polish is uneven, nails lifting, horrible shape no matter how much you ask them to file and shape differently. Never again.

Today, I need my nails done.I was told to go see Mrs. Nina.I made an appt for after work. This beautiful lady did an outstanding job on my nails!!I had a bad wax job doneon my browsMrs. Nina could clearly see it was a mess.She offered to do a service called shading for eyebrows.mind you it was 8:30,pm.I decided to give it a try.This beautiful Lady works 7 days a week, and has 3 children and, a husband.She was so wonderful!she got me a pillow to prop my head up,a nice blanket, and also propped my feet up.It was so cozy, I actually fell a sleep during the service!I woke up and it was 10;30 Pm.My brows are AmazingI looove them!She was done about 10:40 Pm!Now That is 5 star service!!Nina went beyond the call of duty!!If you would like outstanding nail / spa services, Go see Nina!I am soooo HAPPY I DID! She will roll out the red carpet for you!I am so impressed with Her impeckable service!Thank you Nina , for putting a smile back on my face! I will be back to see you soon!

Probably one of the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life nail tech very impatient and very aggressive . Didnt do anything I asked and the manger didn’t do anything at all to help. I would have paid for good Quality wouldn’t recommend anyone to this place

When I first started going here they had good service.Nina was my favorite nail tech, but as time went on I guess she stop caring.I went and got a fill in and she’s spent 2 hrs on my nails for them to end up extremely thick.I didn’t say anything directly to her.but this company will never get my business again.Im extremely disappointed in my nails I payed 120.And when I went back to my original nail tech, she said that they didn’t bother to take the other layer off, and that’s why my nails were so thick(just pure laziness).AVOID THIS PLACE THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!The pic below shows you how thick Nina made my nails smh.And that’s after the fact my nail tech trims it down some.If you are going to take people money at least do your job correctly.It’s not fair to your hard working customer.

i waited for an hour and multiple people went before me that just walked in and the lady that was doing my nails did not do what the picture that i showed her look like and she filed my finger with the electric file and then put acetone on straight after.

Basic pedicure for more expensive price and poor communication. I came here asking if they offered reflexology pedicures. They stated yes. Then after starting the pedicure when they handed me the menu, it did not have reflexology. Every time I would ask Tony for reflexology, he kept telling me I needed the most expensive pedicure with special scents and oils. I told him no, I wanted the basic package ($25which comes with a relaxing massage. He said no, that was for babies. So the $35 package was the cheapest option for me which did not come with a massage. What makes it worse, is he told a woman with a child that the kid pedicure price was only $12 so he flat out lied to me. There was nothing bad about the pedicure, just felt like they weren’t being honest and trying to get more money out of me, pretending they don’t speak English well.

A hour and a half wait! After that an employee comes to do our pedicures and they take him away and we wait another 30 minutes with our feet soaking before someone else comes to start one of us (group of 3specifically my lady cut my nails horrible and made me bleed!!! I am now going to the doctor to have them look at it! As it is swelling and throbbing and red! Not to mention the absolutely horrible paint job she did! Aswell as burning me with the towels and not even massaging my legs! I will never be returning.Ontop of our customer experience. The lady across from us asked 6 times for someone to just turn the bubbles on and help her get the chair to massage and no one would help her till she stormed over to get her daughter.Besides all that the guy who did my sisters feet was absolutely amazing. He talked with us. Asked her if the towel was to hot was very gentle.

I went in to get my eyebrows done and paid with a card. The receipt said one price but when the charge went through in my debit card, the added their own tip. I had already tip with cash so my disappointment is why would you add a tip to my receipt after I signed it. I’m disputing it with my bank but it’s sad that o had this experience and will only use cash at this location going forward if I decide to come back.

I got these nails done twice from them. First time from a fill in a dude did them and then we’re uneven and done badly and then one broke not even an hour later. Went back to get them fixed Anne fixed them and did admit the make tech didn’t do them right. She fixed them much better then not EVEN AN HOUR LATER ONE BREAKS AGAIN! So here I am up here now asking to get it fixed and the try to tell me I have to pay to fix it this time. Excuse me. No obviously I didn’t and got it fixed but I will not give them anymore chances.

First time coming in here and doing my nails professionally at all, I had mixed emotions going in due to the reviews I saw but I decided to risk it and do my nails. The woman was so nice and did it perfectly. Sure it was dusty but you can just wash your hands anyway. The reviews were weird because some of them said some of them employees didn’t speak English. You can just use a translating app if you wanted to. But thank you so much and will definitely come back again some time.

I went here because I was trying to find a place I liked since moving here. I will not be returning. I spent $45 for a fill and polish change that took her 3 hours and I was left bleeding. Never have been in pain like this at a nail place or not been this unhappy with my design. I usually don’t do reviews but I am so disappointed. Worst experience. I don’t recommend..

Let’s just say this individuals are rude. I went to get a full set and the tech who did my nails did not speak English. So when I told her I didn’t like my nails she kept going. When she finished she asked if I like them. I told her no. I asked for light glitter. Not slapping all this mess on. When I was about to check out. I advised the cashier I need to pick up my daughter and will still pay now. But come right back to have this corrected. She tells me 15$ for polish change. A younger man came over saying she was giving me a discount on the polish change. I said no she’s not when this was not what I asked for. He said well you should have said that before she finished. Attempting to not lose it I stated to him I did but she doesn’t speak English. I come back at 614pm the same day and I’ve been standing up front with no one asking what I needed for 25 minutes now. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau because customer service was not it.

If I could give no stars I would. I come here a lot to either get manicure/Pedicure or eyebrows waxed. Each time I have something done, it seems the service and quality gets worse and worse. Me and my daughter went in together today and not only did we both leave BLEEDING, but she asked for French manicure and he did them all white. My guy who did my nails, didn’t even clean underneath my nails and when I asked him not to use the he drill on my nails, he did anyway and cut it down to the skin underneath my nails. Very painful. Then he put 3 coats of nail polish on it to cover up the mistakes. It’s all a competition there with them to see how fast they can get you out. I spend ALOT of money in there but never again. I will never go In there again.

Took and hour and a half for a fill and gel polish and this is what I walked out with. Worst and as the blood shows one of the most painful experiences I’ve had in a nail salon ever. Next time I’ll just wait for my normal place. I only went here because my salon is closed on Tuesdays, never again!

walking in was great, the nail tech was great at first but then after a little bit he made me very uncomfortable, with his questions and the way he was wording things. I will never go back. I paid 50 dollar for my nails to br uneven and not matching in size or or shape. Then when asked a question about the nail tech that was doing my friends nail he was like Im srry I cant help you she can do that for her self. (Rude)

I asked for acrylic nails French tip and he only put one fake nail on one finger and none on the rest. He was very fast like he was in a hurry to get it done. There is dirt trapped underneath the top coat. The French tips is uneven and missing some paint here and there. The walk in was great but the rest was not. I paid $45 dollars and didnt even get fake nails. I will never go back

They are great! Love their pedicure seats! They even have kid pedicure seats. Went in with a girlfriend for our birthdays. Her gel polish chipped shortly after we left and when she called them they said to come back and they would fix it for free. Thought that was nice! Loved the hot wax on my feet. Highly recommend stopping in!

Have been to this nail salon a few times and the Management knew I am allergic to gel nails /Acrylic nails. I only get my nails painted with just nail polish. I told the technician that I only nails painted. The nail tech without my consent put gel on my nails. I called the salon and was told I should of told the technician. I said I did tell her. With an attitude she said again I should of told the technician. Now I am on antibiotics due to the tec put jel on my nails. Been to the Dr twice for more antibiotics. The supervisor did not care and was very unprofessional. I will never go there again besides they do not speak English just give you a chart and point to the most expensive when I just say nails painted only. $10. Well buying antibiotics and Dr visit cost more than the poor service I was given. Did not apologize. DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE THERE. Go somewhere where they speak English and do what you ask to be done.

I went to get a mani pedi. And they had 2 techs working. My nails were rushed and after several times stating I didnt like the nail shape. I had provided a professional photo of what I wanted. Toes were good. Overall I wont be back. My nails are a week old and lifting and the gel polish has chipped in some places. Those prices the service could be better.

I spent $55 for a manicure (gel nailsand pedicure. Before I left the mall, the gel polish had already started lifting off my fingers. The nail technician applied too many coats of polish. 3 days later and I have a total of 3 fingers without gel polish. After going back to repair the finger with the lifted polish, I was offered to come back the following day to get all of my nails done again but decided against it because one of my fingers was still burning from when the technician cut my cuticle too low. She was nice but being nice doesnt make me want to run back over there to get nail service any time soon. She also cut my skin on one of my toenails cutting too low. 😖

My sister and I got our feet done today. We both got French pedicures. My feet have some pin stripe, my sisters is square and uneven. $40 each for a piece of sh** job. Never again, will we visit this location

I am not satisfied with the lady that did my nails, she didnt pay attention to what she was doing and she hurt my nail folds a couple of times. They charge $15 extra if you want gel on your toes and the pedicure is not really pleasant.

The reviews brought me to this salon. I walked in and asked for a gel manicure and a regular polish pedicure. Kim was my nail technician which I was excited to know I was having Kim since the reviews spoke highly of her. She lived up to her name and did a great job on my pedicure and manicure. However while I was trying to enjoy my service, a huge argument broke out between 2 employees. Which was very unprofessional. Both of the females were very loud and it seem like they didnt care about the customers. Eventually one of the employees started packing up her stuff. Not sure what they were fussing about because it was not in English..but I can tell it was heated by the tone of there voice.I will try this salon again and ask for Kim. Hopefully next time there wont be any arguments.

What can I say? Jenny was amazing. She did my pedicure, manicure and my brow wax. She also added the much appreciated sparkle to my ring finger. I was so pleased with her services. She will definitely be seeing me again soon.

Nina is amazing she does my moms nails she takes her time and really does care. My mom loves her to she does an amazing job ive personally never seen better good job Nina you are truly amazing.

I recently moved to Jax and in search of a nail salon that would cater to my expectations and this here experience at Modern Nails blew me out the park. I am so pleased with everyone within their staff. Everyone was extremely nice, patient and helpful. Nina did an amazing job on my nails (and I’m a stickler for filing properlyshe did GREAT! Kim took good care of me and gave me the warmest relaxing pedicure anyone could ask for... i believe i hit the jackpot with this place!!! Thank you for making my experience so amazing!!!

Kim has been doing my nails for years. I followed her to this salon because she is so wonderful! She truly cares about her customers and her talent for doing nails is amazing. Every time I see her she is smiling and welcomes me with a hug. I love her and this salon. The massage chairs are so strong and relaxing. It is very clean, affordable and convenient!

I went on yesterday (sunday 5/27to get a full set the lady was aggressive kept hitting my hands away charged me $50 for a coffin shape gel polish full set I asked why so much because Ive been there before and it was $35 for the exact same thing she said because my fingers are big I felt so insulted wow on top of everything my nails are lumpy shaped my thumbs are disaster and the job is horrible she left product on my skin IM NEVER GOING BACK

I got my nails done 4 days ago... This is suppose to be gel polish over my real nails. This sucks. I also got my toes polished. They look horrible. My nails were filed after the polish dried. So they are rough at the ends. Its all bad.

It’s cheap. I pay 45$ plus tip at my usual place, which wasn’t available this time around.For 25$, plus tip, I got what’s pictured. Not completely happy with the experience. And there was a lot of dust. Like a lot of dust. This was also the first time I’ve gotten a gel cured where it burned as it cured. My nails were not cleaned up very well, and there was polish I had to scrape off on my the bottoms of my fingers.I do love the color though. My usual place, my gels last 3 weeks usually without chipping. My last gel manicure lasted a month. Will see how long these last.Editing my review March 5th. It’s been a little over a week since my gel manicure was applied and while it has not chipped, my nail has actually broken slightly on my thumb, and the polish has maintained the nail shape....while the nail is absolutely gone. I’ve amended my review from two stars to three stars because my polish has not chipped at all. I’m still disappointed with the service overall and I would never return to a place where getting a manicure was painful.

I have been coming here since the first open and have a different experience almost every time. This time I went with my mom and it wasnt bad. They did kind of push us into the second level pedicure; which we could have said no, but we were already considering it anyways. My technician did do everything on the list and did it well. He took his time and I felt like he cared. However when he when to put the little foam flip flops on my feet I told him I had mine and he should just use those. He told me that using mine might mess up the nails (which made very little sense to me as I would now have to change my shoes and potential hit the nail, but they were okay). Anyways they can seem like they are more concerned with quantity over quality so just be warned.

We went to Modern Nails and Spa and we met Elizabeth one of the nail technicians there and she is super fantastic you need to go ahead and see her l did manicure and pedicure and she did a fantastic l usually like to have regular nails but this time l wanted to do something little different and Elizabeth just far more than l expected. I highly recommend Elizabeth!

My nails look like a 10 year old slapped clay on them.I have a thick layer of acrylic all over my cuticles.Worst experience.Terrible customer service.The person at the front desk is half asleep, mumbles and doesnt even bother to look at you.Do not waste your time.They will ask you 20 times if you want a pedicure. Stop asking. No is no.I give this place a 0.00%I never leave reviews, but this place deserves 5 minutes of my time. The wait was not an issue. The guy that started seemed to have no clue what he was doing. After sitting through the longest take off process and putting the tips on another lady called and sent him to take care of someone else. My immediate thought was she wants to take care of her customers, but my goodness was I wrong. This woman claimed shes been in the nail business for 31 years. I have no idea how she is still working as a nail tech. Her acrylic job was disgustingly sloppy. She has No clue what squared nails should look like and finally gel top coat -___- it a blob of gel over gel, over gel and more gel.I have never in my life after many years of getting my nails done argued with a nail tech. This woman was belligerent rude and did not want to fix her mess. All sides of my nails were missing gloss, she refused to turn on her lamp- I had to point at the lamp and ask her 4 times to turn it on. Not even after seeing the sloppiness did she correct anything. I asked "Are you done? This is your stamp?". Appalled!!We are paying for a service. Im sure she would be pretty upset if the tables were turned.

This place was an absolute DUMP! Me and my sister went to get get our acrylics done and the shape, filing, and color was absolutely a disgrace! Horrible, Horrible, Job! This is my first review Im ever writing and just to tell u its just sad! The black korean messed up my nails so bad! ( Ill put in a pictureShe cut me and put nail polish all over my hands! and me being a 14 year and she took advantage of me. since it was my first time there she showed me some gel nail polish and me being the little kid i am i thought it was normal nail polish cause i didnt see the racks of normal nail polish. so later on she says $35 dollars but my mom heard $25 so we were like oh okay cool thats really good for a full set. turns out it was being more cause i didnt know it was gel so i got fooled! i needed up paying $35 with my own money like what if i didnt have the money for the nails what would have i done?! I would have had to overdraft my acc. This place sucks! ( btw if u zoom in u will see the cut on my ring finger )
