What a beautiful landmark design with lots of history of Architecture features. The circulation between the ablution points and the pray area is not bad. The dome is is well is providing enough lighting during the day. All the openings are well designed.

Its considered one of the monuments in Abuja. Its the Muslims most popular place of worship in Abuja. The five daily prayers are observed as well as the Jumaat prayer. Many dignitaries pray in the mosque. It has many ablution spots and conveniences. There is also a mall around the premises.

I am soooooo in love. Loved everything from the super clean restroom, compound, the masjid itself. Dont get me started about the decor, fab! fab! fab!

It is very convenient for both Jumuat prayers and other events. Because it can contain all the worshippers at the same time. You dont need to be afraid even during rainy seasons

This is the famous central mosque in the heart of Abuja. In it there is plaza where you can buy cloths, dates, zamzam water and many other traditional stuff.

When I came to religion Abuja really represented with this breath taking edific representation of the Islamic faith. Well structured well aerated. Organization and maintenance culture among the caretakers is quite commendable. Masha Allahu!

Abuja National mosque is a very good place architect and civil engineers to visit and burst their knowledge. The structure is so incredibly amazing. Its designed is such a way even without artificial lighting and cooling system the place is very conducive

The history of the mosque began in the eighties, when it was decided to move the capital of Nigeria from Lagos to Abuja. In 1981 a group of prominent local Muslims decided to request the construction of a national mosque and to contribute to the project with donations. The construction work was entrusted to the AIM Consultants Ltd and ended in 1984. The four minarets are high about 120 meters, while the large central dome is 60 meters. The building includes a library and a conference room. The complex also includes a conference center able to serve five hundred people, the office of the Islamic Center and the residential facilities for imams and muezzins. The mosque is located in the Independence Avenue, in front of the National Church of Nigeria.

Magnificent architecture 😍We had our personal tour guide, he was courteous and polite.Women may have to wear extra clothing (hijabif not Muslim.It also has a mall on the side.I was opportuned to walk in but they were renovating so I couldn’t capture as much.

Abuja National Mosque is a place of worship but as a national edifice, it’s not only limited to muslims. As a Nigerian, you can visit the National mosque.I visited as a tourist and it was an awesome experience. I visited on a Friday which isn’t the best day to visit but I was still shown around.The first thing to do when you visit, is to let the security officials know you are a tourist and would love to tour the premises. I was directed to the administrative office where I met the person in charge who also doubles as a tour guide. Inform them if you’d like someone to show you around the mosque. I did.He mentioned that the best time of the day to visit are times outside the Muslim’s prayer times.You can visit around 8:00am to 1:00pm, 2:00pm to 3:0pm, and 4:00pm to 6:00pm.Do not visit on National Celebration days like Democracy or Independence day as the security will be tight and you may not be granted access.After you make your intentions known at the administrative office, you can then take photos within or outside the premises. In all, I enjoyed the tour.

The mosque was a beautiful art piece of architecture, going in was the Bateman that took me to the secretarys office after I was asked to cover my head with scalf I had an hijab so that wasnt a problem , the secretary was very courteous and polite and told the tour guide to take me round the mosque. I love it from the people to the building it was worth the trip 🌝🌝

Been here several times on different occasions.... The pictures below are from a schools end of the year ceremony held at the conference Hall of the Abuja National Mosque. The hall is spacious with beautiful and comfortable chairs. The Halls can be booked for weddings, graduations, lectures etc that are not going to contradict Islamic doctrines

Located in the city centre, the mosque is huge and is sometimes referred to as the National mosque. The structure is huge and the dome is gold platted facilities glistering the city. Jumaat prayers are observed here on Friday for all Muslim faithfuls and other daily prayers. There is a large parking space and the mosque is large to accommodate many worshipers.

Very good structure, enough space for worship with tight security. A place of worship to be.

Beautiful architecture, excellent civil works and this Mosque is simply mind blowing. Hasn’t changed its color and shine in years. During Friday Juma prayers, it looks even more beautiful with thousands of devotees praying together only to satisfy the One and Only Creator of this Universe.

Gigantic Mosque in the city of Abuja. Large prayer ground with various units. Thousands of people worship here regularly and crowded on Fridays. Most top government officials worship here lead by top clerics. Call for prayers are done in line with Islamic rights. Water is always available ahead of prayers. There are restrooms here for attendants. Parking lot for cars, wheelchairs and other automated vehicles are available.

It is very very beautiful building. Breathtaking. Very large and very very well maintained and preserved for an historical building. Lots of outdoor space. The gold plated tops were amazing to see and I couldnt leave in a hurry.
