The technician was able to answer all my questions and did a professional job. What I liked most was no sales pitch to do more than what I wanted. I would recommend this technician for this company again and again.
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I am beyond disappointed in their Customer Service because they do not care about their Customers at all. Last year, I hired this company and did a 6 month contract with them. I had them come out the first appointment, 30 days later to spray again and then it was supposed to be a quarterly appointment after that. When it came time for my first quarterly appointment the tech did not show up so I called the company and rescheduled. When that appointment came up I received a text early in the morning saying their tech called out sick so to call the office and reschedule. I was somewhat annoyed so just decided to cancel services and paid the $99 cancellation fee. This year I struggled again with outdoor pest eating my plants so I decided to give them a second chance. Again, I signed a new contract, got the first service then never got a call back to do the 30 day re spray. On October 10,2022, 3 months later, they contacted me to set up a quarterly appointment. I mentioned to them that since I never got the 30 day follow up spray and didnt hear from them for over 3 months I went with a diff company. They text me back saying sorry and said I would get a $150 fee for cancelling and asked when they could come out and spray. Its like they completely avoided the fact that they messed up and instead of either offering a free service or to waive the cancellation fee they proceeded with not giving two craps about how I felt as a customer and wanted to schedule an appointment. I asked them to please cancel and they just charged my account $150 cancellation fee.

Ive been using Mountain West Pest Control for their pest services AND their lawn services for a few years now via quarterly contract. I have been happy with their services and one important thing for me is customer satisfaction. They had to come out and spray my house 3 times in one month (only charged for the initial visitbecause of how awful the bugs were from the vacant house behind ours that was finally getting gutted. All the little creatures that were living there the past 4 years started moving into our yard and the neighbors. After a good couple sprays, were finally in the clear. It was a bad infestation that had moved in and they did a fantastic job taking care of us. I also feel like their prices are reasonable and fair. The technicians who come out are always friendly. I see the same couple techs frequently as well which makes me think they stay with the company because they are a good company to work for which also makes me happy to be their customer.
I am very pleased with this company, Will is my technician and he is very helpful and thorough in his work. The company always responds quickly to my requests and I have very good results. I highly recommend using this company for any pest/insect control problems.
It really is a pain. I feel that their products dont work. It really is hard to call and have them come out again when you work and cant call them. I have yet to see bug die from their products. I have to buy from the store to use the killer to get by till we can get them to come out again. The fee to cancel is horrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. The products to not work at all. The pest seem to mulitple more when they come out. When you call all they can say this is why we come out again if you call. And so i guess i better make it some how to call weekely to get them to come out as it really is a waste of money to pay them and buy store brand. 😒 Cant wait for my contract to be over with them to find another company with better products and service that kills the pest.
Veronica was very professional and listened to me and sprayed the places I indicates. We were careful to stay away from her because we had covid and she also followed the protocols for that. She did a thorough job and didnt just hurry through it.
I’ve used mountain west a few times now out here in the Valley and it’s amazing how well it works. It not only kills all the nasty bugs but it keeps them away for months. We have a bad spider issue if we don’t keep up on it. We notice a HUGE difference the next day after they come out.It’s been the same employee that comes out and he is always professional, informative, kind to my animals and does a GREAT job. Very thorough which I appreciate as we have had Utah tarantulas in our house!!!Will never use another pest company! Ever!

The technician made me feel like he truly cared about my pest. He was very knowledgable and told me everything here would be doing in detail. The weather was a concern due to wind and possible rain. He explained where he may not reach but would do there best he could. Will is amazing and he definitely makes me want to continue service with my. West post control.Thank you Will!
This rating is specifically about the rodent control. The company was very responsive but unfortutantely their traps and baits did not work at all. I had the treatment for over a year, placed flags after every treatment to see the trends but after a year there was no progress. I think baits and traps just dont always work and I think in this case I just wasted a lot of money having them service my home for a year. I fortunately did find another company that uses a different treatment method (carbon monoxideand it 100% worked, havent had a gopher hill in 3 months since my treatment with this different company.
Veronica was on time, very pleasant to talk with, and did everything I asked for and more. I’m very pleased with the service I received.
This site said I could rate my technician. He was wonderful, I would give him 5 stars. But I am very annoyed that it tricked me into leaving a review for the company (eye roll)
Richard was the person doing our house Richard does a great good from all the others he took time and effort to do his job he didn’t rush and new all the places spray he was very kind and spray more of the areas I needed I do recommend him again like to request for him the next time I get sprayed done . The mountain west is really great with customer and they work with you when you aren’t able pay right away and give you time frame that you need that’s why I like it so much I recommend if you need your pest done get from mountain west thanks again for your service mountain west!
Good company, easy to reach, professional service. Did have to callback for treatment after initial treatment but this is at no extra cost, hopefully the spiders die this time

I love using these guys, we weren’t scheduled for a little while longer for our summer service but we started noticing ants, one text and they moved us up and just wrapped up today. They’re very understanding of your time and very professional when on-site.

I have been very pleased with this service and I have noticed a big difference in the bugs and insects not being around my house, includinghornets.
Overall the technician did a good job, however, I was less than pleased that he sprayed as much solution onto the glass of all of my windows as he did around my foundation. I also requested he spray around my whole Tuff shed including the back under the eves, but he only did the front. So far I havent seen any hornets outside my doors, which I am grateful for.
I love how effective this service is, I can have my kids play outside worry free of them getting stung by a wasp or bitten by a spider. They can enjoy our yard!

This company has been the absolute worst to work with. They came to my house to do door-to-door sales about a year and a half ago I worked with them for not even six months and ended up selling my house so I called to cancel with them. Turns out it’s a $99 cancellation fee that they don’t tell you about when you agree to quarterly maintenance. Not sure if it was due to Covid or what but they said that I signed something which I most definitely did not. I’m guessing their technician signed it for me. Anyways, I called to cancel and told them I sold my house they were very pressuring about just transferring the service to the new location(I haven’t purchased a new home yet due to the insane market). I am living with family who already have a different company set up to do their pest maintenance. I spoke with a manager who was really nice and told me to just call back when I purchase a home and they’ll restore my service(about a year ago). I get a call today from Adriane Who tells me that I have one month to use the service or I need to pay the cancellation fee. I ended up just paying a cancellation fee to be rid of this dreadful place. I don’t recommend using them because they’ll charge you fees that you were never aware of and they’ll pressure you to do something you don’t want! Pay a little extra for a company that cares and values you!!

I had a one year account with MW Pest Control. Their services certainly kept the pests away. Grateful for that! There was a clear difference in the presence of pests before and during their service period. However, the account management software they have running in the background must be abysmal. Many errors were made in communication, payments, and service scheduling. I did not renew. Too much headache. Dear exec. mgmt. at MWPC, please reconsider your software provider. Each customer service call I had revealed that it was the real bottleneck. My apologies to the polite and helpful staff that had to deal with my frustrations.
I highly recommend Mountain West Pest! The technicians are always professional & and thorough and the customer service reps are friendly & efficient. I love that we can enjoy our yard again because the pests (mainly spiders & waspsare finally under control.
On time service (a helpful two-hour window and you dont have to be homeand friendly technicians. The product works well... we havent had any issues with bugs in the house.
My personal experience with this company was horrific from beginning to end. Firstly, is the one year contract. Although you dont have to, the individual pricing is outrageous, so you pick the yearly contract. Of the four visits we had, we had to call them back twice to redo the service as it was very poor. How hard is it to see black spider webs against a white surface? The last service I was actually home when the tech arrived. I asked him to make sure to get to the point of the eves this time as no one ever had, His response was that know one could reach the two top points on the gables, they were to high and he was not allowed to use a ladder. That would have been nice to know when we sighned up, that they could only do 80 percent of the job. I called to cancel the last visit of the annual contact and the customer service person immediately accused me of making up lies so I wouldnt have to pay the $100 cancelation fee. I told him it was all in his notes, which he verified, but still accussed me of trying to rip him off. At the end he was yelling at me so I just hung up. Honestly, the worst experience I have ever encountered with any home services company. I would stay as far away from this company as possible. We experienced horrible service and terrifying customer relations.
I do not recommend Mountain West Pest Control. I have filed a complaint, with evidence, with the Better Business Bureau. I have also filed a complaint with the Division of Consumer Protection for the state of Utah. When a customer must go this far to try to get a positive resolution, that can tell you everything you need to know about a company. Mountain West Pest tries to run unauthorized charges to your bank account for made up appointments outside the scope of the contract. When you dispute the made-up appointment, they say "okay you dont have to have that appointment, but youll be charged a $99 early cancellation fee for not completing your contract"... if you dont accept the made up $100 appointment. It does nothing to explain that this "last final made up appointment" is not in the contract, and therefore I should not be charged. So, this company tries to charge you for appointments not within the contract, tries to secretly run unauthorized charges for those made up appointments unless youre watching your bank account, and when you bring up these made up appointments, they try to charge you an early cancellation fee. Do NOT recommend. Horrible experience. Go elsewhere. Is Mountain West really that hard up to where they have to try to secretly charge people $99 for unwanted service not within the contract? BEWAREP.S. If a manager or an owner tries to respond to this review, saying that there is an early cancellation fee for not completing your contract...I want everyone reading this review to know that we completed all services on the physical contract we signed. AGAIN, ALL SERVICES ON THE CONTRACT WERE COMPLETED. SO THIS SECRET, FINAL MADE UP APPOINTMENT THEY CLAIM THATS NEEDED TO CANCEL OR CLOSE OUR ACCOUNT IS A BUNCH OF BS. Theyre stating that there is a final service needed, thats not within the contract. strange dont you think? So I have submitted photographic evidence of our contract to the Consumer protection agency, as well as the Better Business bureau. this business is horrible
We hired this company do to a wasp and ant problem we had. They came and completed all the services on our contract. We received a call stating that they were coming out again. I advised that we had completed all scheduled services on our contract and were not interested in renewing. I was told our account was closed. Then my bank account was hit months later with a $99 charge. I called and Hailey stated that it was the cancellation fee since they had not been able to get a hold of me. I told her that I had spoke to someone earlier and completed my contract. She advised a manager would call me. They did. They tried to say that I had one more service due. I explained that my contract didnt show/state another service was needed to complete. The manager told me that if I left a positive review he would waive the cancellation fee and close my account. So I did. Now, months later they charged me a $99 cancellation fee, again. I called spoke to Hailey again, and she reversed the charge. She again said it was because they had not been able to get a hold of me. I explained my previous conversation with the manager and the Google review. She apologized, stated the account wasnt noted but she credited me back. The NEXT day we were charged again!! I called, again, and she told me that was a mistake and credited me back again. Now we have received a threatening letter telling us to pay or be sent to collections. We have filed a complaint with the BBB, and the Utah consumer protection agency. Also, I have removed my positive review from here and Google. People need to know the truth.
Mountain West Pest Control is AMAZING! Customer service is stellar, the product they use works and they are so easy to work with. They will come and spray again at no cost to us if we see any bugs. That rarely happens but it wasn’t a hassle the time we called for an in between spray. They are very affordable and billing is easy no hassle. Every year we have guys come by the house to try to get us to switch to another pest company and we refuse. We have the best! The Techs that come out are always so nice, efficient and happy to answer any questions. They also have a talent for identifying bugs based off my description. Like, “ it’s a tiny thingy with pinchers.” .. they really are cool people. Adrianna (not sure I spelled that correctlyis always friendly and helpful. Porter was our tech today and he was great! I scheduled an appointment with a two hour window. I had some things to do, but delayed them until after the two hour window and waited another half hour beyond that. Nobody showed. I called and got voice mail. I told them to cancel my appointment.I received a call two hours later asking if I wanted to reschedule. I told them no and they asked why. I said that since they didnt show up I wasnt happy with their service.I was told that they had previously texted and emailed me to reschedule the appointment to another day. I told her that I had originally told the guy setting up the appointment that "I dont have a cell phone".Businesses cant just assume that everyone has a cell phone. There are still some of us that dont. I dont check my email constantly either.What happened to a good old phone call? That seems like good customer service.I wont be requesting service from this company, ever!!!
The technician was in training and had a supervisor with him. They arrived on time. They were polite and efficient. The person that did the inside of my house did a great job and sprayed everywhere I asked him to treat. I’m sure they did a wonderful job outside. I have used this company for a few years. I have always been satisfied with their customer service.
I am updating my previous review since things have changed.The company sent out an invoice for a previous service call that had been cancelled. After calling and talking with someone, they were able to correct the issue. They credited my account for the service and hassle of incorrectly billing me. Today they sent out a tech to perform the requested services, and it all went well.So far, their responsiveness to this issue has been great, and I appreciate their efforts to make things right.

The workers are always very friendly and thorough. They are great about coming back if they didnt tackle the problem the first time. And they are very affordable. Weve had them spraying our house and yard for a little over two years and its always nice to be able to enjoy our yard without a ton of bugs.
I called the office yesterday to postpone the treatment scheduled for today. I let them know that I have a new puppy out in the yard and that I didnt want it exposed to the spray. Adrianna in the office assured me that she would cancel the treatment. Well, today I just happened to see a technician walking around the yard getting ready to do a treatment. Luckily I caught him BEFORE he sprayed. My pet could have been seriously hurt, since I assumed the treatment wasnt happening and the dog was in the yard.Based on my experience, I cant trust this business to follow through. And when you take into consideration that they are spraying poison in and around your house, thats a huge deal.They market themselves with a "100% satisfaction" guarantee (it even says it on the Service Agreementbut "satisfaction" doesnt cover situations like this. I let them know about the issue and that I didnt want them servicing my property any more and they let me know I had to pay a $99 early cancellation fee. That makes me think they dont really care about the customer. Zero accountability on their end.Be aware that if you enter into a contract with this company the contract protects them from accountability.
Homeowner over ten years & have battled tackling spiders, ants, and box elder bugs myself. Tried home remedies and sprays from local hardware store & never been able to get rid of them completely.I signed up in the spring with Mountain West & this was my thoughts in the summer—Professional and affordable had them spray for spiders and box elder bugs and have had no issues all summer.It’s December and I’m still still pleased. I now know my service Tech by name (Gavin). I get reminder texts a week ahead to let me know the day & time they are coming, giving chance to reschedule if needed. Every single time they arrive at beginning of the window. They bring cobweb remover and go around the eaves and spray foundation both inside and out. They knock to let me know they have arrived & briefly discuss & listen to my needs before they begin. As a preventive measure I had them put out mice traps in my crawl space under the house & places that they might want to inhabit due to change in weather. Still no mice!Many negative reviews I’ve seen talks about an early cancellation fee, which is standard with most companies & fee to me seems low. Honestly their monthly price is the cost of just two pizzas. Well worth piece of mind that my comfort & investment in my home is being protected.
