One of the famous hotels in chintadripet, upto my knowledge it should be around 40 years old. Running a hotel for 40 years is not that easy and if still they could means its all about the value, quality and customer satisfaction. Dont go with high expectation but what you eat definitely meets your satisfaction.

Tiffen and coffee is good here. The sambar will be in Karnataka style.

Love the Sambar at this Restaurant.! (No other restaurants can come near to taste of the Sambar served here - including the so called Ratna cafe at TriplicaneIt is a very old and very famous restaurant in Chintadripet. They also serve "spiced" hot water as a compliment upon request.Their mini tiffen is ultimate value for money. Fully satisfying sumptuous breakfast at a pocket and stomach friendly way.Every item in this restaurant is priced very low when compared to their taste and quality.I would strongly recommend a visit and also to take your friends who wish to taste the real south Indian food.

Nice to have mini tiffin apt one for full break fast with 1,idli1vadai 1poorior mini masal dosai,and little Pongal with mini coffee or idli sambar or sambar idli with coffee or mini coffeeOr dosai or poori with coffee is good to have even rice items sambar rice,curd rice,lemon rice,tomato rice karuveppilai (curry leaves)rice all are ok to have in lunch time

One the old hotels in Madras, located in Chindadripet. We had mini tiffin, which included vadai, ghee pongal, idly, poori (ormasala dosai and mini coffee - listed in the order that I liked 😀. Each item was hot and tasted awesome especially the vadai and ghee pongal. All the sides sambar, chutney and potato curry were good. If you are looking for ambience and setup, this is not the place for you. If you look for tasty authentic food, then this is certainly a worthy place to go for.

Special is Sambar Idli we are taking this from 1988 onwards .Even we shifted our residence to Outskirts of Chennai , Whenever we visit C.pet our choice is Sambar idali

It may be exaggerated since iam used to be from childhood idli sambar from .0.20paise,dosa sambar, with coffee always poori only occasionally all tastes good its not so high but in the medium range for the money paid trust worthy for the last some years mini tiffin too nice

Good quality food with old taste n reasonable price

First known hotel to me, very emotional attached to this hotel as I reside nearby, Murudis sambhar is the signature item there. Childhood Sundays will be incomplete without Murudis idly-vada-sambhar. Rava dosa and coffee are my favourites.Right now the receipe have been changed, the ownership might have been changed. Anyway it is the most authentic vegetarian hotel in Chintadripet.

Food is good.. But the price of items in restaurant is a bit more than usual restaurants...

100% Veg hotel with Good food stuff. Speciality is food served only in Banana Leaf. Unlimited Chutney and Sambar. Price is little high than other same range hotels.Bad thing is the Bad smell from near fish market. Right hotel at Wrong place. How come vegetarian peoples can bear such bad adours wen taking their food here - Surprising.Food Ok, Location is Bad.

I am a regular visitor to this place for many years. love the ambience. Although situated in the main road, the place is spic and span. Courteous service by the staff of the hotel. Food tasts great. Vegetarians should visit this hotel, for an awesome eating experience.

Neat and courteous staff...very Tasty south Indian delicacies....Tough to maintain such a standard for three generations....but once the younger generation repects what they have inherited from the elders..and maintain it..nothing can stop them from serving their regular patrons...God Bless everyone who have made it a silent landmark for sumpteous food in chindadripet for so many years...Good Luck...

No other hotel give mini tiffen including one one Idly one medhu Vada Pongal mini masala dosa with mini coffee for RS 70 with good taste.

Wow. My most fav hotel. Loved the taste,colour and smell of the sambar. Omg....and it is one of the restaurants which serves hot water that has a nice aroma (contains fennels seedswhich really helps for digestion.

An average place for veg food. If you are person who is certain on ambience of the place, better to avoid it. Sometimes the smell from the nearest fish market is felt while dining. Mini meals during lunch is VFM

Its okay kind of small restaurant for middle and lower class people, food is good, no parking space.. mini hall is good mail tained ith air conditioning.Very small area for small functions, can accommodate not more than 80 to 100 people.

Murudis Lunch home is an excellent restaurant of the Karnataka cuisine. The place is located near the fish market of Chindadripet which makes the place smell bad occasionally. Otherwise the food here tastes mouth watering. The cost is also not too high. Tasty food guaranteed at a nominal price. Ill visit there again.

Very good taste of Sambhar and all items are served hot and tasty but parking is the only problem I would suggest worth trying for South Indian food lovers

D name murudis always brings lots of nostalgia cuz we resided in that area for almost 15yrs. D restaurant s our best hit be it either for home delivery or dine in. My personal favorite is idly sambar and there was no day i ended up eating without asking for extra sambar cups...they are soo yummy with a perfect balance between TN and Karnataka sambar :Their party hall needs a special mention..Very neat ambience and most budget friendly ..I book it for my daughters engagement and everyone was in praise for d good food they served..we were very happy... :)

Murudis is one of those udupi restaurants that I have been regularly getting food home delivered from whenever I am in the Egmore area. I dont go to the restaurant itself, rather prefer home delivery because their ambience isnt so good. However, their quality of food is good. I love their chutneys and their dosa is one of my favourites. Its extremely reasonable and affordable for a quick meal.
