Havent had something from here that hasnt been delicious! My only complaint is that they dont take credit/debit cards, but thats a small complaint. Probably my favorite bakery in the Greater Scranton/Wilkes Barre area.

This bakery is the best, it smells amazing when you first walk in and everything looks so good and the people are so nice. Everything is amazingly cheap too, I really recommend this place.

Sooo yummy and prices are reasonable too! Great customer service!

Best bakery ever!

The Pumpkin roll was the only decent thing. The cake was moist and spongy but the taste was very bad and the icing was terrible. The eclairs tasted absolutely horrible and I wish I was exaggerating when I said it almost made me throw up. I’ve never tasted an eclair so bad in my life which made me upset because I love them so much. Would not recommend this place to anyone and would never come here again.

You cannot beat the price point. Its a no frills establishment but they shine in terms of the basics. Cookies are over-sized and decadent, pastries always fresh with homemade jams and their cannolis are some of the best Ive ever tasted. Shelves are always well stocked and service is quick.

The Absolute best Bakery in the area. Extremely clean, and the staff is outstanding. Very Courteous, Friendly and obliging. Made me a pie they usually do not make.. and it was delicious..

I cant say enough great things about National Bakery! The rolls are a great, always fresh and delish! I always pick up a few cheese danish for breakfast. They are amazing when heated in a toaster oven and slathered with whipped sweet butter. The counter staff is always friendly and kind. I always joke that I could hook up the pastry case, full of goodies to my Jeep a pull it right out of the building.Lifes too short not to be enjoying National Bakeries goodies a few times a week.Btw... The fresh hard rolls are great when you slice them, butter them and fry them buttered side down in a pan until then just start to turn brown. Youve got to try them like this! Keep up the great work! This place is a Scranton Institution going way back when. This is the Providence location but they also have one on Capouse Avenue.I still remember stories of my grandfather walking up Ash street with a bag full of buns from National on Capouse. Ancient history, still a good bakery and uses (my opinionvery little preservatives so dont expect bread and such to last a month like a supermarket.Eclairs, cinnamon buns, turnovers, cannoli, brownies, and of course especially cakes. Real nice folks on North Main, very helpful.

Great bakery. Delicious danish, cakes, cookies, tea biscuits, eclairs, breads etc. Jewish apple cake and Lafayettes are my favorite not to mention their cinnamon buns.
