One of the finest stadium of Guwahati,Assam.The stadium is really large & Nice playground all types of games are played there basketball, cricket football, badminton, there is also a swimming pool here we can learn how to swim🏊.Very nice place for coaching.

Stadium where India And Pakistan once played with M.S dhoni scoring 61 and Man of The Match with Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar taking 2-2 wickets in 2007.

Nehru Stadium is a well condition and good Stadium.

Due to poor maintenance Stadium is in pethetic condition.. Cricket players do practice cricket here but facilities are not that good compared to other big stadiums.

Established in 1962, the Nehru stadium hosted its first international match only in 1983 during the West Indies tour of India. Since then this premier venue in the north eastern part of the country has hosted only a few more ODIs. One of the main drawbacks at Guwahati is the heavy early morning fog and the light that fades early in the evenings - both of which shorten the days play considerably. Of the nine ODIs played at the Nehru stadium, India has featured in six with a 3 - 3 win loss record.

5 star only because its goood football stadium but cricket forcefully want to dominant on football for cricket its worst ground get they hell out of it.

Best place for all sports in the heart of the Guwahati City. Highly Recommended. I play Tennis here.

It has varied sports practice places like Badminton, Tennis, Basketball, Squash, Swimming, Shooting, Cricket, Table Tennis, etc.

Nehru Stadium is very good

It is really very huge and well maintained. I visited it on the occasion of 19th National youth festival in January 2015 which was a 5 days event. All the states and UTs participated. The place was very well decorated, well lit and secured by the police forces as many political leaders were also present. They hosted various concerts by notable artists in an amazing fashion. We had the food facility in there itself, it was a very amazing event.

This is the premier multisports facility of the North East given birth to by the visionary doyen Singhapurush Radha Govinda Baruah.The stadium we grew with since our childhood days in Gauhati....Nostalgic and sweet memories of Bill Lawrys Australia cricket team playing East Zone and East Bengal/Mohun Bagan teams playing Assam Police in Bordoloi Trophy continues to linger...

Nehru Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Guwahati, Assam, India and managed by the Board of Sports, Government of Assam. Radha Govinda Baruah supervised, constructed and named the stadium as Nehru Stadium. It is used both for football and cricket matches. The stadium holds 15,000 people at most and was built in 1962. So far it hosted 13 One Day Internationals matches and many matches of top domestic cricket tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. In football it regularly hosts prestigious Bordoloi Trophy and GSA Super Division League. The stadium also hosted Santosh Trophy and Federation Cup tournaments.Leading run scorers are Yuvraj Singh- 181 runs, Michael Bevan- 163 runs and Dinesh Mongia- 159 runs. Leading wicket takers are Ravi Shastri and Harbhajan Singh- 7 wickets , in this Stadium.

Beautiful athletic stadium. Very good facilities for the athletes who wants to train under good coaches. One more positive point is that it is situated in the middle of the city and every sport kit is available in front of the stadium

You will find all sports equipments.You can book the stadiums for events and also take membership for basketball, swimming tennis etc

The stadium has certain good and bad aspects.Some of the good things areU can go for morning walk there.. The area is big so one can run or walk as much as they want. Moreover u dont have to pay anything for walking or running or for exercises. It isnt much crowded.The bad things areSeats are broken, toilets are not working, changing rooms are not provided for girls. Too many gates are present, one might get confused which to use.

One of the best n well kept sports complexes in eastern India. Although the area just outside the gates are a real shame with broken sidewalks, dirty areas n filthy drains, smelly localities n unhygienic n unhealthy eateries. Surrounding areas could be a lot better.

This place is easy to commute. Its next to a hotel for easier communication for non residents. Several sports events are held here, even nationally or sometimes internationally.Its a pretty spacious stadium. It also attracts many sports lovers to involve in games and provides scope around the region and beyond.

It is one of the oldest big stadium of assam. It is filled with many state associations for many sports it housed a international cricket match but now it is primarily used as football field. It also have a very enormous indoor stadiun . Its swimming pool is quite good and also has a basketball court .

With great infrastructure and affordable fees, one can surely choose this place for sports training Being situated in the heart of the town, it also serves a good purpose of easy transportation....

Very old stadium for the sports lover. There are lots of sports club and coaching centre with very specialised coaches. it is in the mid of the town and well connected from different parts of ghy. U can bring your kids for Basketball, lawn tennis, Table tennis, cricket, Football, Judo karate, Gymnastics, Swimming, Badminton coaching. Atmosphere is such that u feel very energetic and sportive.But at the same time I will say that scope of improvements in infrastructure, coaching and supporting staff is always there.

It’s a nice stadium. The place is very strategic, being located right at the back of Dr. B Barooah Road. One can see people playing, practising and working out right from the morning. The place is great for organising sports event. The seating arrangement is also good.

Little more development is required.Lack of proper banner and holdings.Lack of many facilities. Cleanliness is good.This stadium is not given importance nowadays by the government of Assam.It is near B.Baroah College.Many small stadiums and sport complexes are there in the same compound.

The surrounding of the stadium is not clean and the seats inside the stadium are also broken and its not maintained properly. Some of the parts are still being repaired when i visited. It became too old(everything). The good part is that most of the game stadium is available there like basketball, swimming, boxing, badminton etc

Apart from the play ground, its a sports complex having almost all the offices of various sports associations of the state of Assam. Moreover, two huge indoor stadiums swimming pools etc are also located inside this complex.

It was the only stadium where International and National Cricket tournament were held including many other sports like Assam State Premiere League. But from past two the stadium is in very bad condition both pitch and stands as new Cricket and Football stadium have come up. The training and accommodation facilities is not up to the mark being a National Stadium.
