Malcolm was super easy to work with and an excellent instructor. He was able to accommodate a group of 6 of us for our basic diving certification and was very patient throughout the whole process. He was always communicative and gave us other options for dive locations to keep our weekend booked when the weather was not cooperating for our initial plan. Thanks for everything, Malcolm! We enjoyed the whole process and had a blast.

My son came in as a strong swimmer but with apprehensions about diving. Malcolm is a tough minded but kindhearted instructor. Just the right combination that my son needed to get through the intense training. I just completed my Open Water Scuba Diver certification with Malcolm @ North Florida Divers.The course took place over 3 days, each session lasting a few hours. The first session was the pool session where he does the basic fitness test then runs you through the equipment and the various skills you need to learn. The last two sessions were the open water diving sessions, which were done at the Blue Grotto Dive Resort. Here he runs you through the same skills you learned in the pool and takes you on dives in the fresh water spring.Malcolm provides all of the equipment you need for the class, although you can bring your own if you have it.Malcolms a great instructor. Patient, calm, friendly, and accommodating. He wants you to succeed and makes it clear he will work with you to help you be comfortable in the water.In addition to teaching SCUBA, he also offers practical advice. Such as how to avoid getting ripped off by high-volume dive charters.Malcolm lives up to his great reviews and Ill definitely come back to him when Im ready to work on the Advanced cert.

Malcolm was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and did a great job teaching my son to scuba dive. He had a way of teaching that made you feel comfortable in the water. I would highly recommend him if you or someone you know needs to be scuba certified.

Couldn’t be happier with North Florida Divers! If you are interested in getting a certification, this is the place to go. Malcolm keeps his class size small so that he can tailor to the needs of each person in the group. He also provided all the gear (which was in great conditionand took care of all the planning for the dives. All I needed to do was show up and arrange my own hotel accommodations. I was even able to get a deal by using NFD’s select hotels discount to book a room!In addition to providing the best deal and the most hassle free experience, NFD’s customer service is unmatched! Due to some personal difficulties during my first dive, I wasn’t able to complete my open water certification in only one weekend. Malcolm was more than willing to work with me and gave me the opportunity to join another class later in the month so I could finish my certification. I couldn’t be more pleased with how this small family business is run. Highly recommend!!

Malcolm and Miles did a excellent job training myself and my two teenage girls for our NAUI open water SCUBA certification. The instruction was excellent, the equipment was in great shape, & the price was really reasonable.The 2 day dive at the Blue Grotto was perfect a great atmosphere for training. Malcolm and Miles were able to accommodate a large group of 14 Dads and Daughters that all got together and decided wouldnt this be a fun skill to learn and wonderful way to make lasting memories. Malcolm and Miles made sure all the divers were comfortable and we never felt rushed. They would take extra time if needed to ensure that everyone was doing each training activity 100% correct. Safety was always a top priority and we had fun while doing it!! In fact, After getting certified at the Blue Grotto we all decided to book a trip to S FL in a couple weeks! Thanks for the great experience!

Malcolm, Miles, and Randy were great for our Dads/Daughters certification weekend. Each of the girls felt very comfortable with each of the instructors and when they struggled with a skill, got immediate 1:1 attention. They went the extra mile, taking extra time and extra dives to be sure we were all proficient in the skills that we would need to be safe SCUBA divers. Highly recommended!

Just finished our certification today! Malcolm is amazing. We had a tough crowd for him and he was extremely calm and patient. I had crazy anxiety with going down on my first day that I almost backed out of the second day and I’m so glad I didn’t. Day two was SO much easier and better. He really takes the time to make sure everyone is comfortable, and gives you every chance that he can to get your skills done correctly and learn what needs to be learned. We also worked with Skip who was helping him out and he is great as well!! We couldn’t of had a better experience.

North Florida Divers is an amazing company and the owner, Malcom Kneale, is the best kind of instructor. He worked with my 13-year old Son over the past week for his Open Water certification. Malcolm made him feel comfortable, could tell when he wasnt 100% sure about something and took the time to work with him. He is absolutely the type of instructor you want when learning. He also provides all the gear for the classes at no extra cost (many places make you buy theirs or rent itand its top notch! Fantastic company and instructor...I wouldnt recommend anyone else. Very professional and accommodating. You cannot beat the price for the experience. Training was very detailed yet they made it enjoyable at the same time. The instructors take a personal interest in your success but do not cut corners in teaching skill mastery. They offer an experience you will not find elsewhere so if you are looking to get certified for diving at any level I highly recommend North Florida Divers!!

Malcolm was absolutely amazing from start to finish with everything. He was able to work with my strict travel schedule and book private instruction for my Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Nitrox certifications. It was an absolute blast. He definitely isn’t here to teach the minimums and send you out the door, you will absolutely learn real world applications. He keeps you busy, keeps it fun, and keeps it real.

My son just completed his certification and had a truly wonderful experience. Malcolm and his Dive Master Skip were thorough, patient and very detail oriented. I got my basic NAUI Open Water SCUBA Certification from here and it was a great experience. My 14 year old son wanted to get certified, and I needed a refresher course, so we both ended up with that and a Nitrox Certification. I can tell you first hand that 5 stars is not enough for Malcolm and his team of instructors. These guys are the real deal. Dont waste your time going anywhere else. I was nervous to try scuba diving but Malcolm was extremely patient and by the end I was totally comfortable underwater. The course was fun while still being very imformative, I would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn how to dive. I went with my mom and we hope to go back for one of his the dive trips.

Signed up for open water through Atlantic Pro Divers. They put me in touch with Malcolm to do the dives for my cert. First off let me say it was overall a great experiance. Malcolm was an excelent teacher. Everything was presented clearly and at a pace that was easy to take everything in, without "drowning" in the information. The class size was small, which I cant stress enough how important this was. If you are planning on learing to scuba dive I would definitely give Malcolm a call.

Malcolm made scuba certification one of the greatest experiences of my life! He is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, understanding and an excellent educator. He knows where to be, and when to be there, in order to maximize dive times, visibility, and things you wouldnt even think of, as a student. Many years of experience allow Malcolm to provide applicable, real world information, to supplement the required material. I really enjoyed how he even provides 1-on-1 instruction, during the diving, so that each student can improve in certain areas.I did thorough research, and you will not find a more economical, or rapid certification, with pristine equipment included, in beautiful dive spots, that is instructed by a more talented individual.
