Oakwood Residence Seattle South Lake Union in King County

Unfortunately, as much as I’ve tried to like living at Oakwood the customer service just isn’t there. Multiple times of getting locked out of my apartment because there’s a glitch in their fob system and this time no one is to be found after hours. The main corporate office has tried the emergency number and again no one answers that line.The list goes on with cleanliness as overflowing poop bags that now gather on the ground because the waste bin is so full and no where to dump the bags.Roof deck furniture removed, but the new furniture sat in boxes for approx 6 months waiting for someone to put together. All the chairs came assembled in the boxes and when I asked if we can take chairs out we were left with a big no.

Management gladly took my $45 application fee and never told me the apartment available is facing a construction site. So shady! Beware of you are applying for #613 it faces a construction site. Here is a pic.

Bad management!!!!Started to live here about 1 year ago and extended my current lease 3 months ago. Everything has been fine. But here is what happened to me recently: The management team didn’t renew my key fob automatically nor did they notify me to do so in their office after I extended my current lease. And then suddenly on a Sunday afternoon(looks like it’s right the end day of my previous lease), my key fob couldn’t open the door. I ended up being locked out of my apt with a flight to catch that night. Called their central management team and they said they would send someone here. Then I waited for like 3 hours but no one showed up!! Had to call a locksmith to get in my apt finally. Very very unpleasant experience! And looks like I’m not the 1st one to call the same locksmith in this building :(

Our dishwasher doesn’t work properly so we hit “cancel” and it suddenly started draining brown liquid into the kitchen sink. The shower leaks. There’s no AC and it gets extremely hot in the apartment. We can also smell what our neighbors are cooking through the walls...

Unfortunately everything changes once the contact is signed, like when you buy a car from a dealership. You get different promises but after you sing the paper you feel you ain’t worth it anymore. Can’t wait till my lease is over and get the hell out of here.

Gym isnt well maintained. No sanitizing wipes are provided for equipment cleaning.Dont have any hopes on roof top!!

A very, very nice "home base" for two families vacationing together. When looking around, we werent sure what wed end up doing and wanted to flexibility of "home" while being in a new city - separate bed rooms, a place to relax while visiting, a kitchen to at least make simple snacks and meals - and this place was it! I was looking for pictures of what was actually provided and was unable to find any so thats most of what I posted. A few things to be aware of: there are no food/beverage items provided - no coffee (our apartment had a Keurig machine), no seasoning - but they did provide a roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, soap/shampoo/conditioner, a 1 load size of laundry detergent, 1 dishwasher detergent, a small bottle of dish soap and a sponge, and 2 disposable coffee cups. Make sure to let them know plenty in advance if you need a parking space. We forgot and they were able to accommodate by allowing us to park in an employee spot for a couple of days, but Im sure thats not always the case! It is a very quiet building (and there are definitely people around...lol). Theres also currently A LOT of construction in the area - not a problem, just something to be aware of at present.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for multiple bedrooms and/or the comforts (and spaceof home while away!

This is a pretty nice hotel right off Dexter and Mercer. The rooftop amenities are probably really cool in the summer: theres a lot of nice seating, foos ball, ping pong, and a great barbecue setup. However, its not very well thought out for Seattles perpetual mist. The furniture is almost all cloth, so if its rained at all in the last couple days youll have an unpleasant surprise when you sit down. The games arent in the covered area either, so they probably wont last long. 🤔

The apartment was great and the higher price was well more than made up for by the fact that theres no need to spend much money on transportation when so many great places are within walking distance. However, our apartments window faced the sun during the afternoon, and the water-based AC did very little to help with the temperature. This is pretty much why Im only giving it four stars. The included amenities (roof, gym...were awesome. The staff was very friendly as well. Overall, I would recommend staying here, but think twice about the lack of AC during the summer!
