Place is legit. Chase got my parents and I hooked up. He went above and beyond and really made sure we were comfortable. 10/10 service for sure.

I found the shop by chance while waiting for a different shop to open, at a later time. Dave replaced both tubes and had me back out the door before the other shop even opened. I would definitely make the trip up from 28th St in OC if needed In The future, bypassing all the other shops on my way. Great service! Thanks again.

I have both purchased a new bike and had one of my other bikes repaired. Rick and the guys are great to deal with and have always taken care of me and turned the bike around very quickly. Their selection of new bikes is also great. Highly recommend Ocean Cycles!

I visited the Eastern Shore and while away I discovered my rear hub had lots of play and I didn’t want to damage the bearings. I stopped at Ocean Cycles and they attended to the issue very promptly. They fixed the rear hub, and adjusted my front derailleur. They were very fair on pricing as well. My bike rides and shifts smooth thanks to their great service! I will visit them again when in the area.

I was extremely happy at first. I gave him a $100 bill for a $45 seat. He handed me $25. I told him i gave him $100. Heagreed but then told me he gave me $45 back. He did not see a problem. . So I actually paid $75 for a $45 seat. I did not argue.He also did not give me a receipt or my old bike seat back. I will be going back tomorrow to ask for my seat back. I waz caught off guard.I just went back in, he was not happy about my review. He gave me my old seat back and the $10 change for overcharging me $55 for a $45 seat. The other guy made a smart comment as I left, but I ignored him.

Friendly, knowledgeable, laid back team of personnel. I needed an Allen wrench for an adjustment but didn’t want to spend the $ to purchase tools. They were kind enough to adjust seat and fill tires at no charge. They gave me a wrench left over from their new bike orders. Next trip, I’ll be renting from them. Clean shop and impressive new style inventory.

This is hands down the best bicycle shop in Bethany Beach for service and sales!

I brought in a high end bike for a simple flat-tire fix. The salesman told me the price was $35 and that I had to leave it overnight. It was $40 the next day when I went to pick it up (and there’s no sales tax in the state). He used the cheapest tube possible, didn’t air up the tire properly and folded the rim strip so badly that it punctured the tube the very next time I rode the bike. I had to take it in to a different shop to have the rim strip replaced along with an additional flat-tire fix a day later. Poor service overall and am extremely disappointed with the price and result.

I had a good experience. I had an atypical request - a road bike for a day, and I felt the quoted price was fair. I had expressed interest the day before but only confirmed by phone 10 minutes before I showed up, so they were working on checking the bike when I got there, and it still took several minutes to adjust everything and collect everything I needed. Then when I left I realized the front brake was useless so I just adjusted it. The rear deraileur was also a little off, but it was still a nice ~30-mile ride, and I felt confident that they had my back if I ran into a problem and needed help.

Purchased a bike last year from Ocean Cycles for my son. Very pleased with my experience. My son loves his bike. We brought it by today to adjust the seat. They ended up giving the bike a quick refresh. Once again, had another great experience with Ocean Cycles. Nice folks!

Ocean Cycles: Great bike shop in Bethany Beach, DE. Excellent service. Bought a Kuat bike rack and they assembled it, mounted it and showed us all the features. Courteous sales, quick and efficient. If you plan to buy bike or accessory, try them out. Best shop in 100 miles.

This place has really earned our trust over the past several years. Garrett and Greg (a few yrs backactually made an emergency visit to Sea Colony after we called explaining that our sons foot had gotten stuck between the pedal and bike frame. These guys were tremendous and absolutely went way above and beyond!!!! Dropped everything, sprinted over, disassembled the bike - awesome! We visit every year for our bike needs -- dont even consider going elsewhere!!!! As a mom of three, this is our place for all of our familys biking needs both in and off season!

Would never reccomend this bike shop!!!! They think and tell you your wasting their time, when trying different bikes!!!! This guy is RUDE!!!Walked out after arguing with this punk, that Im 5"1 and knee surgery has made hard to find fit, HE YELLS AT ME, YOU GONNA BUY A BIKE, IF NOT YOUR WASTING MY TIME!!!!!! No customer service at all!!! Walked out went to ALL WHEELS in REHOBOTH BEACH, on Rt.#1, directly after, they were so kind and helped me, and put me on numerous bikes and finally they sold me a new Electra Townie!!!! Which by the way, I went to Bethany to test ride, and the guy was so rude I didnt get to test. Well, you lost that sale!!! And, I will not reccomend you idiots,and that guy should be FIRED, for treating anyone the way he treated me!!!! Kharma is a bi_ ch!!!!

Chose Ocean Cycles in Bethany Beach after consultation with the owner of Fenwick Islander Bike Shop.I needed a very minor adjustment to my front derailleur was told could not give an estimate until looking at the bike but probably $20-30 and that the work could not be done until afternoon or next morning. Probably a 20 minute adjustment by a certified mechanic.Called at 3PM to check on status and spoke to Garrett. I was told that he had a 2 day back log with a tone that led me to believe that my call was intrusive and my expectation was unreasonable at best.They could have told me of the 2 day back log at the time.I chose to pick the bike up around 4PM. I was greeted by Garrett at which time I told him I would take the bike off his hands without repair.His comment to me ........ " Really sorry your bike was next, I busted my ass to get this thing done after all the complaining you did." I asked him if he would complete the work to which he replied , " I aint working on this bike" and I left the store.I suspect that with customer service such as theirs they are not worried about this review and have all the work they can handle.A beach cruiser rental might be the tops of what they can handle.....never again.

Took my CADD10 5 to Garrett at Ocean Cycles & Fenwick Islander Bike Shop for service that included tune-up, new tires/tubes & new bar tape. Got the bike back today. Garrett takes great pride in his work & it shows. Im very pleased with all work done and the courteous & professional manner in which all services were rendered.Took my bike back for a small adjustment. Garrett went out of his way to accommodate me so I did not loose any good weather riding days. I definitely appreciate it & highly recommend Ocean Cycles!

I dealt with Garrett, who is a nice guy, but that is as far as Ill go. My wife and I rented 2 bikes from Ocean Cycles, 1 of which was equipped with a child seat for my 2 year old daughter. All was going well for the first day of our rental, the second day however was a different story. We were riding along at a brisk pace and the bicycle seat suddenly snapped off the bicycle with my daughter in it causing her to violently hit the concrete, luckily she had a helmet on.I was enraged and immediately called Garrett who responded out to the scene and replaced the equipment. He also observed that the safety strap on the child seat wasnt attached, had it been this never would have happened, even with the metal bicycle seat attachments being corroded to the point of failure. Garrett ensured me that the safety strap is always engaged when the bike leaves the shop and almost seemed as if he was suggesting we removed it. Interestingly enough my sister rented the same type of bicycle from Ocean Cycles with the same type of child seat and miraculously the safety strap wasnt attached on that bicycle either.We contacted my daughters pediatrician and advised her of the situation and that my daughter had hit the ground so hard that her helmet was scratched, we were directed to IMMEDIATELY take her to the emergency room. After a 30 minute drive (both ways), 5 hours in the emergency room, a CT scan with my screaming terrified traumatized hyperventilating child, and a 100 dollar copay it was determined that my daughter was absolutely fine, thank goodness.Upon returning the bikes I conveyed to Garrett how lucky we all were that my little girl was ok and how angry I was about this PREVENTABLE accident which was a direct result of poor maintance and more importantly NEGLIGENCE. He told me he would refund me the cost of my child seat bicycle rental and give me a free rental next year. I told him he should refund me the cost of both bicycle rentals. He politely refused, his prerogative, and its my prerogative to share this experience.

Needed a quick (but importantrepair on my road bike, and I was helped immediately at the front door. The staff quickly solved my problem, and sent me on my way for only a few bucks! Dont be fooled by the rental bikes outside- they are a full-service shop for all levels of cyclists. Highly recommended!!
