Great fun place for dipping your feet, do some swimming, or even some tubing! They fixed it up really nice so theres perfect spots for the whole family
Great fun for the whole family! The water is just perfect and we love the way they fixed the rocks so that people can get to different spots alongside the river, just great!
Super fun!
Its a fun area thats been rebuilt/restored. The kayak ramp area has new rock features. Its pretty clean but evidence of "alternative lifestyle permanent campers" is noticeable. The public restrooms dont seem safe. The area has been upgraded and looks good.
Im sad theyve changed it cause of all the memories that was shared there ,but they did sproos it up a bit and kind of like it now just something to get used to.
Great place
Nice place to have a picnic along the bike trail.
There is at least three miles of trails here. Very nice once you get past the construction on the side of the path.
This section of the River Walk gets better every time I visit. Looks like there are building a small sandy park like area on the east side of the river now. Lots of ducks and swallows enjoy the water and shade found here. Cool views in every direction. They really need a few covered picnic tables though.
Lots of money and work to revamp the park.
I cannot believe how nice this park is now! The old building that was previously blocking the view of the mountains has been removed. Beautiful view, 3 fun water features and nice walking/biking trails.
This place is awesome. Lock your cars
So much work has gone into restoring this section of river channel!
Just renovated 24th Street park access looks great
Currently Its Undergoing An Updated Development. Im Looking Forward To Its Completion.
Currently under construction. It will be great when done.
It has a nice, new restrooms, picnic tables, and a BBQ. Theres only room for two families though. It has a nice bicycle trail, and a flowing river. The government has fenced it all up as usual. They want you to pay for everything, but theres ways around it. The water is clear, but a little on the cold side even for August.
They are doing construction on the river right now
Great swimming area and hang out soot
Ogden City closed it, and by the looks of it, the park wont be open for a loooong time.
It will be closed, including the bike path, for the next three or four months. Youll have to detour around it if youre riding a bike or walking.
What a park. If your into getting into your kayak, jumping in the river and rocking then this is the place! Some cool obstacles and if the river is raging it is definitely a good time!
Good place to run your dog.
I came here in the winter. It was so beautiful. The snow, ice, fresh air... loved the trail. I sat and watched the trains go by at one point and then laid on the bench and listened to the water and birds.. the bridges... just beautiful!
Very beautiful. Had a great time even after I feel down the rocks very calming I really loved it!!!!!
Its great a place like this exists in the city just wish the sides of it were not so industrial.
I gave this four stars, despite the likelihood that many people may love this little spot, and rate it a full five stars. It is important to understand that this "park" will really appeal to those who enjoy or are prepared for its activities. Small, shallow pools for kiddos, and on up to light/slight water rafting.
Cold water but great place to take kids for a week night activity
Very nice spot. Early mornings there are so relaxing for me. I do hope that when the demolition of the meat packing building across the river is complete that the area will be used to inhance the atmosphere with hopefully a park type or natural type theme rather than commercial endeavors! With the buildings gone there is a spectacular mountain view from the deck.
My 8 year old and I love riding down the falls in our tubes. Best Sunday kick back without the crazy travel
Thats my spot dont go please just kidding its awsome
Ive been coming down here for the last few years, its so peaceful. I love it
Great place to walk the dogs.
Caught some nice size trout
Nice deep swimming hole right by the 24th Street bridge...
I love the shade, but cant use your smart phone. No 4G
It a great place to swim and take your kayak
Not a place for families. Not really a park. Its a newish deck along side a river with a few rapids. Water smelled a bit off in the area. Might be fun for adults in tubes or kayaks but families should skip this and go to High Adventure Park instead.
Water is high at the moment so be careful getting in the water , besides being cold .
Awesome hidden spot... cool place to visit even if you dont kayak!
Water is running very high today. May 19, 2019.
great pLace now during the run off
Totally awesome
It doesnt have a great place to take out if you actually want to kayak from here. But it has a beautiful deck for river viewing and an area to splash around. We kayaked from Riverdale kayak park and took out just upriver along the bike path.
Had fun with my crew at the 1st aid station helping to clean up the area. Sad to say the picture shows 1 of 2 box springs that were semi buried at the edge of the river. We let Ogden City know so hope they can get them both out.
This is a great place for a dip when its hot in the summer. It used to be fairly challenging for kayaks... But not so much so after a search and rescue mission necessitated the movement of some of the mid-stream boulders. Still worthwhile for that sort of activity overall. Plenty of fishing to be had at this site as well. Just downstream for Fort Beunaventura and within easy walking distance of all the downtown Ogden motels.
While its fun to climb on the tracks and see a couple nice views, I feel like I have to avoid stepping on heroin needles if I step of trail
Great peaceful place but avoid early in the morning and later at night as the homeless are there during those times....and they pester for money cigarettes and alchol as well as use drugs. Wish it would be cleaned up I enjoy going here
Nice big observation deck... but trash cans overflowing. Bathrooms are down the road at the parking lot... but they were locked.
Kayak park in the middle of the city. As of now the top hole looks pretty keepy on the far side at 1070cfs.::::Edit from a "play" session:::: It has soo much potential but needs work. The top hole doesnt look friendly at this level(1150cfsand could be potentialy dangerous. I didnt even try it. The lower hole spits you out very easily.
