Great family environment! Friendly helpful staff!! Super library!
We love the Siloam Springs library! The librarians are friendly and helpful, and the environment feels welcoming to all ages.
I love the library. It has been very helpful over the years.
A beautiful place ! Wonderful library and friendly helpful folks work there ! 😊
Had to renew a book and Alex was so glad to help!!
short staffed, and not very helpful @ all
Greatest small city in the state! Great schools, medical facilities and restaurants.
Very friendly and good to me!
Beautiful and useful!
Great selection with extremely helpful librarians
It is probably a nice library. The building looks to be new with a lot if parking. The problem is that it is not open for working people. If you have a job you are not allowed to visit because it is open only weekdays while the employed are working. It is a fantastic looking place for transients and retired people.
GPS had a tough time getting me to the parking lot but the library was very nice
Nice location and setting good selection of books walking trails.
The one at the front counter were rude
I visited the Siloam library for the first time. Very nicely set up. It gives a place for young and old to go to. The original Memorial Hospital used to be there. I was born there, 1957.
We love the library!
Very friendly employees
The lady was rude and didnt even try to answer questions ... I know you have to be safe but not lazy...
Love it. Missed going while it was closed.
Beautiful, bathrooms open. Fantastic experience.
AWESOME
The Siloam Springs library has no documentation of re-turned books. We returned eight books to a book drop only seven showed up on our account as returned. Even if you return books inside you do not receive any receipt so you basically have no proof that you have returned books ever. The price I had to pay was more than double the value of a brand new book. Plus, I was charged 3% for using a credit card but I wanted documentation that I had paid my fee.
Wow. I am astonished at how rude the librarians are at this library. I have come to this library twice now to use the internet. The first time I didn’t have my ID on me, and the librarian giving out guests passes was extremely rude and dismissive and unhelpful, I only really needed to use the printer which I could have done from my phone but I felt so I welcomed that I left. The second time, I went to get a guest pass the girl with short brown hair and a terrible attitude glared at me. Then when I walked away with my guest pass and she was saying “have a great day” i said “thank you” but my back was turned. She then went to her other librarian friends and laughed very loudly and gossiped about “how rude this lady was, she would t even look at me” they all laughed and made me feel extremely unwelcome. I’m having a terrible day and this made me want to cry. My account number wasn’t working so I went to ask for another one when she rudely said “is something. Wrong?” In an annoyed way. I explained t wasn’t working and she went to print another one. I then confronted her and said you know, it’s really not cool to gossip about patrons within earshot of them. And she just smirked, like so what? And I said, I’m not dealing with this. And left. Not to mention this library constantly smells like bad food from one of the librarians at the front desk and they are constantly talking loudly To other patrons and each other. Probably gossiping. Worst library service I have ever experienced. I love my local library in colorado. I feel welcome and the librarians don’t have stuck up attitudes and make you feel worse than when you came in. Don’t go here if you want to be treated nicely.
This is a small library, but it is always very clean and welcoming. And because it is small, yes, it’s going to be noisier than big libraries that might have the children’s section on a completely different level. We moved to Siloam from Fayetteville and we enjoyed Fayetteville’s award-winning large library, but small town libraries can be nice too. It’s much easier to get in and out of this one, and it’s right next to a pleasant green space, splash pad, and creek. Siloam’s library really does a great job with ongoing kids activities and events, they also have a very big collection of entertainment DVDs. My sister inquired about specific unavailable kid books and so the library purchased them based on her expressed interest. My only real criticism is that the summer reading program incentives are pretty dismal, but I understand that may be more an issue of lacking donor money to offer books as prizes.
EDIT: Sorry. After the past few days I had to edit this review. This has become the NOISIEST library Ive ever been in. I have been on a computer with headphones on and have been told it was too loud. The one and only time I was having a cell phone conversation inside the library I was told to take the call outside, but whoever leads the kids program has stopped shutting the doors. The main entrance to the kids section should also have doors and they should stay closed. The kids games and cartoons on their computers are super loud and THEYRE NOT USING HEADPHONES, yet my volume WITH headphones is too loud? The floors are hollow and are extremely loud when kids run and jump on them. Its easy to feel the vibration when kids run by. The library staff never calls them down. Several of the staff members themselves speak and laugh very loudly. Conversations with patrons are had as far away from the front door to the service desk. There is no way my headphones and cell phone conversation was ever louder than all of this. Its becoming more of a daycare than a library. Im simply asking for the policies to be CONSISTENT when it comes to what is too loud.______I love the ladies at the library. However, nothing improves without constructive criticism.- The mens room is too often disgusting. The floors, the urinals ... I understand that there are young kids and even adults that dont care. But restaurants clean their restrooms on a schedule. Thats not the case here. Theres a sign on the door to let staff know if theres a problem, but its so often disgusting that wed feel like were nagging.- People on cell phones are not consistently told to take their phone calls outside. Their conversations are loud and distracting.- Often, patrons at the main desk speak unnecessarily loudly to the staff.- The computers are not maintained properly and are often snail slow.I usually have great experiences here. These are just areas that could be improved upon.
A definite one star way to loud librarians are nice but dont maintain a quiet library able to study, would more than likely go to the university library.
The best place ever since
Awesome
Librarians were friendly, new building is nice, parking is ample. The selection isnt bad for a town of 15,000. We just moved here and I do hope the library continues to get better, its a valuable resource for any city and its residents.
The new building and location are wonderful. I take my little sisters here often.
Good selection of books, DVDs, CDs. Computers and reasonable costs for printing/copying/faxing. Always friendly.
One of the higher priced for library cards while still having a fair amount of books. Librarians can be rude.
