I live close by in Elmwood apts. The reason they built another hospital. is because of location in west end. And too close to that old housing project. My mother worked as a nurses aid 15 yes so it provided a job for her. I have lived close to the hospital nearly 60 yrs. It was a nice hospital and we miss it very much.
