There were very few campers there during our visit a couple of weeks ago (end of September). The staff present were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The campground is clean there were lots of choices. The only complaint is due to the noise and inappropriate activities of a nearby family camping there. It would be great if there was some way of getting assistance when campers are making excessive noise late into the night. I have no complaint about the park and the staff. It is a beautiful setting, quiet, and convenient. It is unfortunate that there is not more funding available for upgrades and more staff onsite, but Im thankful for the park and being able to camp there so that we can visit with friends in the area.
We visited this park for the first time. We drove from Seattle to oroville to stay in the Eden valley ranch which was also beautiful and great experience. This park was clean and beautiful with a great view and beach access. There was a small shop in the beach for SUP and kayak rentals. We also rented out kayaks for 1 hour and was $15 per rental. We enjoyed kayaking in the lake osoyoos and was fun. People were also enjoying the water by soaking in the sun on their floaties or SUP.There is flushable bathrooms next to the shop which was clean. There is a campground as well in the park and mostly were in their campers.
Pleasant stop just across the border
Clean park, good boat ramp, and clean bathrooms.
Nicely spaced sites. Green grass nice beach
This place was beautiful! The grounds were very clean, watered, there were clean showers, bathrooms, no trash on grounds, clean beach area that was marked off, people were respectful. The only issue was the water toy rental person wanted to leave an hour early because it was a slow day. He said my $15 rental wasn’t enough to keep him there. All days can’t be huge money days. Reliability is the key to returning customers.
Good, quiet nice area, needs better wifi, bit great family area with beach.
Beautiful waterfront camping spot easy access to the river. Plenty of campsite for both with hook-up and tent camping.
Nice park. Lake here. Maybe we will be back to camp
One of our favorite vacation spots. Good camping, beautiful scenery - our happy place in the summer.
I enjoy coming here. Its usually quiet and peaceful. Garbage is managed pretty well. Could be better. Kids playing. Families cooking or camping. A good amount of benches to eat at.
Ran by the city, beautiful lake and close to town. Very walkable.
Me and my family just love going here the parks nice and clean. Its got bathrooms and showers open seasonally. Theres a boat ramp plenty of parking dogs allowed and the beach is a very safe place for young children it isnt very deep so you dont have to freak out so much about kids drowning. All in all its the hot spot to go for a leisurely walk and all kinds of outdoor fun.
Beautiful park, all kinds of trees. Big sites with tables, fire rings, grass. Clean, roomy restrooms and shower rooms. $26 for no hookups. Nice place to relax.
Super nice park. Boating, fishing and BBQ!
nice park. quiet and convenient. very happy to scamp there. camp hostess was very nice
The lake is actually quite warm and even though we went pretty far off shore, I never reached a point that I couldnt stand up (51")
Awesome camping experience. Visited 7/18/21 water was perfect for swimming, air quality was kind of meh because of wild fires, the scenery was amazing though. Highly recommend renting a kayak from Kevins by the public beach awesome prices and super stellar guy.
Really nice location. RV spots were nice and level. Park was well maintained with the exception of the restrooms / showers. No toilet paper in the women’s and not the cleanest of environments. They probably just need a good upgrade. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Kayaking in the river was really nice
Beautiful place for a family to camp! The water is so shallow and the watter is so warm! Very fun place 5 stars
A throw back to state parks like they were when I was a kid. A clean lake, snack shack, boat rentals, and camping. Lots of shade and picnic areas.
Nice day use area with sandy beach in swimming area. The camp ground looks pretty nice too. Grass in each site.
The water is super nice for swimming and water sports. The campground is well maintained and pleasant. I love coming here in the summer.
This is a great place to hang out, eat, swim, and camp. Fishing in the lake is great. Boating from shore with small craft, or using the launch for larger. Good shade on the shore from lots of tree. Roped swim area for easy of watching young swimmers and keeping the watercraft away. Water faucets to rinse off feet. Food service when covid restrictions lift.
Sure glad I saw the sign on the side of the road. Great campground, doesnt show up in Google maps as a campground.
Beautiful lake with sandy beach designated swimming area great for kids as the water is not too deep. Benches, bbq grills and bathrooms also accessible for the public. Great place for a Summer day!
The lake was beautiful and the camp sites were larger than I expected. Plus you can rent jet skis and paddle boards
Beautiful lake. The campground was almost empty. We were able to get a lake front site and there were others left open all night. My rating would be lower if it was busy as the sites are kinda close together. The fee was only $26. It usually has lots of campers from Canada but due to COVID there are many openings.
One of our favorite places to go camping with kids! Theres only 2 things we wish were improved...more trees for shade and full hook up for RVs. There is a dump station but it would have been absolutely ideal if they had it at each full hook up camp spot. Otherwise, this place is perfect! The lake and beach is perfect, bathrooms are clean and have soap, lots of space for kids to bike ride, conveniently located to grocery store, coffee shop and gas station, and the entire town is only 2 min away. We love this place and keep coming back :Oh, and its only 10 min away from the Canadian border.
The park is clean and tidy . Easy to locate from hwy 97. Great beach area on lake Osoyoos. Power and water at some sites .Sanidump at park exit. Had a great stay. 10 minutes from Canada/USA border.
Nice campground. Not too many shaded sites. Nice beach area that allows dogs also.👍👍
Reasonably price, the sites were taken care of, pet friendly. Even though the place was completely booked up it didnt feel that busy.
Great view of the lake. Plenty of parking, including places in the shade. Bathrooms are clean.
The park grounds and campground are well kept and clean. Camping prices are fair, with decent space between sites. Lots of shade and space to set up for the day. If you want to relax and enjoy smaller crowds in the Okanagan, this is the place!
We rented paddle boards (overly priced but good servicethe water was clear & clean & not overly crowded, lots of campers! Good times overall! Beautiful little park & free to day use
Great place to Rv.. pleasant people, nice and clean.. Not crowded and lots of grass.. great beach.. necessary essentials across the road. Nice sanidump if youre heading back to Canada where there are few
The lake is cold this time of year and the RV spaces are pretty much filled up. But there are picnic tables near the beach and if you are not a people person go before it gets too hot it is a nice place to sit and watch the clouds drift by or just watch the birds doing what they do best. It is crowded with people when its hot out but if you are a people person go when it is hot and float along with the crowd.
This is such a great place to camp. The beach is shallow, warm and sandy. The river is so full of bird life. It is walking distance to stores, restaurants and parks. We pedal every where.
Great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Sunbathing on the beach, swimming or wading in the lake, and there is a boat launch!
Beautiful park on the lake, looks like it would be so much fun for families during the summer. RV park and camping right there, nice facility
Nice to have people available between 1-9 to assign you a spot and explain how everything works. Too bad two out if the three showers took my $0.50 US but did not turn on. The lake with lilly pads was 25 feet away from our picnic table. Theres continuous bird activity. Osprey dive down to the water and fly away with fish. People in the campsite could be heard gasping as the osprey flew over head with a fish the length of the bird body.
The park is located close to the lake, suitable for swimming and fishing. Tents and RVs are set up on a field, no trees, no bushes, no privacy. However, the camp site was reasonably quite, and there was no fire ban (even though there was one everywhere else in the area)
It is a nice public beach. There are about 6 buoys for tying up boats. There is a large beach area, as well as a separated safe swim area.
Nice beach and boat launch! Sites are a bit close together but not bad. Wished there were more trees and shade around the campsites but we would certainly stay here again.
Beautiful lake, great large Beach area at Veterans park. Plenty of camp sites and good boat launch. Very nice park just off the 97 about 500 and very close to the Canadian border.Very family oriented.
nice enough park, on the lake, lots of green grass, but... since the state has taken it over, the prices have gone way up. now i try to get to Oregon for the first night. washington state has seen fit to over price all their parks, so we dont stop there anymore
excellent park. whether for the camping or just to use as a park. beach is very nice. green grass is a plus.
Came upon this place by accident--pulled in to have lunch ... Really enjoyed the late number and variety of birds here! Nice facilities and good views across the lake.
Best campsite ever! I have been going since I was a few weeks old and always love going here. Everyone is always friendly and polite and its always a great time!!
This park is a favorite of ours, grassy sites and plenty of bird activity. They have recently added power and water to more sites. We find it quiet and peaceful. At times it can be windy.
