Oyster Shack in Huon Valley
Privilege
Terrific rustic, peaceful, quiet, isolated, waterfront, shack. Beautiful raspberry and coconut loaf cooked for us upon arrival. Firewood is plentiful and needed as it was a cold few nights. Will return.
MoreClean, peaceful, wonderful place to base yourself while you explore the area.
Well worth the effort of getting there. Amazing fresh oysters. Don’t miss out
Friendly owner who’s happy to give you tips for traveling in Tasmania and provide a nice built and beautiful accommodation. Will probably come here again to see if I can look at the amazing stars and southern lights.
MoreBeautiful place, lovely owners that were so helpful. Fresh oysters in their backyard, they made fresh bread when arrived and a basket of hand picked fruit/veges from their garden. They do have no internet which was refreshing and a noisy roster but couldnt fault this wooden paradise.
MoreAmazing place. Fabulous hosts who go out of their way to please. 2 person canoe at our leisure, 3 hours return up and around the peninsular, stunning. Very quiet place. Very modest rates for such a beautifully kept place.
MoreFantastic! Five nights stay was lovely. Gorgeous views and so quiet. Was greeted by Van with a basket full of fresh eggs and a yummy cake! She also dropped by with some spring rolls during our stay! As it was cold we had the wood fire on constantly and never ran out of wood! (Van and Russell the wood fairies kept us suppliedwill definitely recommend to friends!
MoreExcellent clean comfortable cottage in a great location and wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts. Highly recommended.
