Delicious food, great people! Had both thin and deep dish, hard to pick a favorite, they both were outstanding.

First time ordering from Panhandlers and probably the last. We ordered a beef and sausage combo, the sausage was over cooked and there was 2 small pieces of beef, we ordered an Asian chicken salad, the chicken was impossible for to find. We ordered 2 wraps again the meat was hard to find. The food was way over priced fo what you got.S.M

I like the wraps the best. The pizza is too salty for my taste.

Didnt have a taste for pizza but it looked good. There were some pizzas in the warmers that they sold by the slice and offered a two slice special. My friend ordered a beef sandwich, I ordered the southwest chicken salad, and we picked out a few appetizers. Our bill was $43 which was about average I would say for everything we bought. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff and owner seemed nice. Although we took our food to go, the dining room seemed clean. Would return again.

Wonderful little pizza joint. Came here on a whim while on a drive with a buddy and I gotta say, I love the vibe, the pizza isnt anything special but thats the best kind of pizza. Regular and all natural. Not too greasy, not too floppy, just good pizza and nice folks.

Panhandler’s claims to be the best pizza in Wauconda, IL and I guess they are? But still just an average Midwest pizza joint. They have character, and I like the vibe of the restaurant but I just can’t get over that the pizza is just okay. They routinely have a flip flop of over baked and under baked crust, are out of certain ingredients, and the product and ingredients are just mediocre. Panhandler’s is great if you are really craving pizza or need something quick, but not much more than that.

I have driven by Panhandlers for three years, but just recently decided to pull in and give it a try. We had the pizza special -- two slices of pizza plus a large drink. We tried the thick crust sausage pizza: The sausage was very flavorful, and the cheese, sauce, and crust were average. It was a nice option to be able to order a quick slice, without having to order a whole pizza and without having to wait fifteen minutes. Panhandlers also has a variety of other non-pizza items on their menu, which we will have to try at a later date.

Pizza was ok. Cooked perfectly but really did not have any distinct flavor. Staff was very pleasant and they had outside seating.

Had a chicken c wrap and it was 95% lettuce. NO chicken. 2nd time I have had to settle for a bad meal. Never again. Go somewhere else

Dry Italian beef and slow delivery-- a bad combo. Ordered delivery, first time customer, live 2 miles away, took an hour fifteen minutes to get here. Okay, youre busy. The sandwich is neatly prepared, probably the first sign its not an authentic Italian beef. The bread was fresh but dry. The meat was tender but tasteless and dry. They do not include au jus on the side, nor was I asked if I wanted it. The fries are par cooked so you have to complete them in the microwave. Not worth another order.

First and last time I’ll get this pizza. Got cheese and sausage, each slice had 2-3 pieces of sausage. Also, the crust was raw in places...so gross.

Great pizza in general and I really like the thin crispy crust! I also I chatted with the owner for a bit and hes a hard working down to earth guy, Ill be back!

Great spot for great prices food. Usually go for 2 slices and a pop at lunch (great deal), but have also had their wraps and mosticoli and have always been happy.

Ugg, ordered a stuffed pizza and looked on their page to contact them first before writing this (not an option to contact usreview and it’s not even half way through the expensive pizza that there were no ingredients that were ordered, all crust. Disappointed for sure. Tried to order the ravioli but told shortage so ordered cheese sticks instead (ok not their fault). Dogs are happy on a positive note.

Panhandlers is by far the best deep-dish pizza is the area, nothing even compares. Its my favorite deep dish pizza ever, with a close second being Lou Malnatis. Not to mention, their service is always great with nice cashiers, and there 2 for $6 meal (two slices of pizza (including deep dish!and a drink!is the absolute best. Love this place, wont ever stop supporting this fantastic business.

great pizza, deep dish, thin crust, all different kinds. The menu also has a lot more food options to choose from other than pizza. Only negative is that the prices have slowly been raising. 2 slices and a drink used to be 4.45, and now its about 6.99.

First time customer who purchased 3 pizzas, different sizes (1 gluten freeand different toppings for 3 people. Group consensus: A substandard pizza for a quality pizza price. Burnt crust just killed it.

The BEST pizza in Wauconda area! This place has delicious pizza, pasta and great deals. Monday half price Large Cheese Pizzas are a treat. 2 slices and a drink for $5.50 is fantastic. Worth driving to pick up if you are outside of delivery zone. Employees are all friendly, helpful and courteous.

I had just ate the plainest calzone I have ever had and it did not even taste good plus the wings are no good either barely had any sauce on them. More breading than chicken. Very dissatisfied waste of money.

Awesome pizza. If youre looking for a by the slice place this is one of the best. The rest of their menu is really good too (beefs are really good toobut theyve got a unique and great tasting pizza. Always have fresh slices and great service.

Love their food but really surprised they do not wear gloves while making the wraps. Came in today and the lady who was making my wrap took her bandage off put a new one on and starting making my wrap. I asked her to put gloves on and she did but she told another lady to finish making my wrap that she had already started and that lady wasn’t wearing gloves either. There’s no reason why they can’t wear gloves while making the wraps. Probably won’t come here anymore for that reason only!!

Tried to use 6.00 offer. 18.00 later I got screwed. Talk to manager she was going to comp a pizza. Owner called tonight full of excuses. Buyer beware. They are a scam

One of the best cheese burgers Ive found in the area. I suggest calling ahead as they are not the fastest place but thats ok because I know theyre making it fresh every time.

Thin or thick crust slices available all day. Both are good. Quick and friendly. Less than $6 for 2 slices and a drink. Great little place!

Their pizza is fantastic. I try to jump on the special, when they have half priced pizza, its either Monday or Tuesday, I cant remember off hand. Lunch slices are a good deal, too. Could be a little less expensive when not running a special, but regardless, they won a regular. Love it.

Good service. We ordered 2 slices of pizza $5. You can choose deep dish or thin. The buffalo wraps were good but could be better if it has more chicken.

1st time here. My husband and I were passing thru town, in a snow storm, stopped for dinner.Pizza was hot and delicious. Had the mild wings, they were also hot and delicious. They served us free garlic knots..they were scrumptious. Fast and courteous service.

We had PanHandlers cater our family reunion this year. They did a great job. We had their hot beef sandwiches and mostaccioli. The food was delivered hot and ON TIME! The delivery person was helpful and quick with getting things setup. And you cant beat their price for such tasty food AND delivery.The food tasted wonderful. We got so many compliments! We absolutely reccomend PanHandlers catering for your next casual event.

Love the Monday special. Try it and you will be back. Crust was crisp, toppings were fresh and very tasty. Hand made, not mechanical. Sauce was just wright, not too much, not to little.

I was so happy to find out when they delivered! My family has been going to Panhandlers since they opened. The pizza has a different flavor from any other pizza places around. Very friendly, polite staff and a very clean, welcoming atmosphere!

I tried to order a sausage Pizza but only wanted cheese on half. After a couple of minutes of trying to explain that I only want cheese on half and sausage on the whole Pizza. She asked how can we do that. I have never had to explain that before to any other Pizza joint. Ill try dominos they have it on there Web site.

Bad experience all around. After having a miscommunication about one of our pizzas, we waited about 15 minutes for a new one with the only discount being the difference between no toppings and one topping. This wasnt why Im giving one star. The double decker was actually falling apart in what could best be described as "pizza lasagne" and due to this I only half finished one slice. To top off this lovely experience, I got a stomach bug from the half slice I did consume! Awful, awful experience.

Panhandlers has a unique pizza taste that I recommend any pizza lover tries. They have a good menu and offer a variety of non-pizza options for diners as well. They also always offer a 2-slice and drink combo which I find perfect for a lunchtime grab. They have courteous staff and your wait time for food is rarely very long. And anyone you talk to on the phone for pickup or delivery orders is always willing to answer questions and make sure your order is right. The only 2 things making dining a little more difficult is a smaller dining area (Though most orders I see here are either take out or delivery anyway and they do have an outdoor dining area for the warmer monthsand there is not always delivery available during the day. Delivery during daytime off-peak hours is sometimes not available. But I still highly recommend trying Panhandlers in Wauconda.

Delicious double decker pizza! Tasted fresh and home made with large pieces of sausage, real cheese, long shavings of onion that was lightly browned and the dough was perfect. Their garlic nuggets were fantastic. I found my new pizza place!

Great food and a clean, casual atmosphere. Either location (Wauconda or Island Lakewill give you great food at a fair price. I like the $5 two slice + drink option while at work, but I have also taken my family there on occasion in the evening.Ive heard from several people that their salads are excellent, but I havent tried them yet.I like supporting locally-owned businesses like this.

The food is good. The prices are too high. They almost never have any coupons anywhere. The portions are on the small side. But the kicker is, they DO NOT deliver!!! What kind of pizza joint will not deliver???? Panhandlers owners say that they want the customers to pick up the pizza when its hot and fresh out of the oven. I dont know about you, but, a pizza delivery guy has a better chance of grabbing it fresh out of the oven and bringing it to my house in a pizza bag to keep it fresh and hot, better then I can. I WANT DELIVERY!!!! Thats like McDonalds not offering hamburgers. Dumbasses!!!!
