Cold brew is delicious.
Great place for breakfast food and coffee!! Owner is very knowledgeable and personable. Tight quarters, so you might not get a seat inside, but very welcoming. Highly recommend the steak and onion hand pie!
Amazing coffee and a super friendly staff. I get coffee here every time Im in town.
This will be the greatest coffee house that you will ever enter during your existence on this wonderful planet. They roast their own beans and keep them whole until they grind them just for you to take home. Early sum mornings you can smell the beans roasting and you will drool like a little baby. The food is also beyond amazing. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone even if youre only going to visit just one time you will be truly Is blessed beyond measure.
Only been here once, but it was VERY nice!
Great little coffee shop! Open early and very friendly! Delicious coffee!
Great coffee, nice atmosphere. I visit each weekend.
My husband and I love getting a coffee and pastry or two from here. Weve never been disappointed with the quality of their products. In our opinion, the best coffee shop around.
What can I say? How about, "best coffee EVER". Bumped into Jim n company November 2012 during The Walk, been a fan ever since. I usually order online, today since I was in Wamego(odd how that worked)I thought I would drop by. A couple of breakfast sandwiches and a couple of bags if coffee, all set for another month. Gotta love local, EXCELLENT businesses.
Great coffee. Great roasterie. Great service. Great price. Tasty food bites as well.
Another hidden gem in Wamego Kansas. This is a great place to pick up a cup of coffee just the way you like it and grab a delicious breakfast sandwich at the same time. Theres not a lot of seating inside but theres an outdoor order window, too. Located just steps off main street, youll find it on the north side of 4th Street.
Jim hooked my mom and me up with a tasty lunchtime breakfast sandwich after closing hours while cleaning up the bar. Thanks!
Love the atmosphere, always greeted and the Coffee is the best. Many different flavors all done in house. Always try to stop when I. In the area.
I love coffee. but the times I have been here were not the best. Maybe it was just bad timing. Hoping to try again since they are the only coffee in town.
What a gem of a spot! We wanted to grab some coffees on our way out of town after crashing in Wamego for a few hours on a cross country road trip. Such a nice guy that chatted with us about their origins, the town, and the order window they put out front while being shut down during quarantine. Delicious dark roast coffee!
Got a mocha large coffee. Really good. Fast service and the employees are very nice and hard working.
2 walk up windows (order/pickup). Not my favorite coffee, but its good, unique/distinct and local. Always have very nice staff.
Genuinely some of the best coffee in this corner of the state - Jim knows his stuff! Drinks are as dressed-up or no-fuss as you want them to be, but are consistently wonderful, and their food is genuinely to die for.
Spectacular as always! Great coffee. Go in and ask Jim where each coffee bean type comes from. Wonderful coffee experience
Amazing coffee roasted right here in Wamego! The only downside is its a very small place, but very popular, so it can get a little cramped. Worth it though
Friendly service, good coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches—a perfect morning break on our way out of town to begin a road trip.
I have Driven all over the Kansas City Metro looking for the Coffee that can equal the Depth and Quality of Paramour but to no avail. It is after all the Bean Quality and the Roaster and Barista. A must visit for the person wanting Quality and Coffee Beans from places known and unknown.
UPDATE: I finally returned to this establishment during my last visit to Wamego. They have done an excellent job of hiring qualified people to serve their customers. The service was excellent and the coffee was amazing. Thank you so much for your great customer service and giving me a welcoming place to start my day when I visit Wamego.
Busy morning but staff was able to take care of my order in timely manner. $8 for breakfast sandwich and cold brew coffee.
Great coffee from an amazing coffeeshop! They are super friendly and genuinely care about serving the Best coffee around! I highly recommend the Americano!
We stopped here while in Wamego for the Tulip Festival. I had been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! The white mocha was so smooth tasting and delicious. I have to also mention the maple bacon scone which was fresh and wonderful. I loved this place and staff were so welcoming and friendly.
Never had an Earl Grey Latte,,, and will never have one better than my first. Delicious! ,,,and very complete coffee menu
I think this is the best coffee I’ve ever had! The staff and owner are great. I just wish it was closer to my house. :)
I will definitely come back if I come through this town again! The coffee beans are roasted in house so there’s a wonderful aroma when you walk in! The employees are very knowledgeable about there coffee ❤️ thank you for making my coffee ☕️ today!
Love the coffee and the staff, but Riley is a Alabama fan and thats a tough pill for me to swallow. It wont keep me away though hard for me to pass up my daily cup!
Great coffee, with some delicious new breakfast items that are also easy to eat on the road when youre in a hurry. Edit: You MUST try the B&G Souffle!
Absolutely the BEST coffee! Found them by luck a few years ago. Now theyre a regular stop on our trip to Kansas every year. We get something delicious to drink & stock up on whole bean coffee to take back home. Staff are all really nice. If Jim, the owner, is there, hes a really interesting guy. We enjoy visiting. Get off the interstate & check them out!
We stopped in after spending the night in Wamego for a KSU game. This little quaint coffee shop knows their coffee! Delicious! Not only that, I tried their mango line muffin and it was a tropical paradise in my mouth!
Made a quick stop to this small welcoming cafe. Really nice people, coffee was great had to buy some to bring home.
Absolutely spectacular coffee! The owner gave us a coffee tasting and explained the flavor palate of each variety. Went in for a quick cup of coffee and left with a bag of beans and an amazing experience!
Paramour has been my favourite Morning stop for years now. For both breakfast and Coffee. No other coffee shop had stood up to the expertly roasted beans or the pleasant conversations with the staff.Drinking Coffee at Paramour is like drinking coffee with Family. Now my son doesnt like to start his day with out his morning Cocoa made best at our favorite establishment.Thank you for having a fantastic staff and passion for what you do!
We are from Seattle and know coffee! What a happy find on our return trip. We missed it somehow going west but glad we found it going east. Good coffee.About us: Vintage travelers in a vintage trailer that love stargazing and solitude away from the maddening crowds. Eating only at "mom and pop" establishments which are getting harder and harder to find.
Excellent coffee! Fresh roasted unlike the stale brew from the convenience or grocery stores. Very friendly staff.
Nice little coffee cafe. I would drive to Wamego to get some of thete grinds. Great stuff. Way to go. Imported this coffee back to Detroit.
Coffee is top notch and the price is fair but not cheap. A must stop for coffee connoisseurs. In six months of daily home pour over brewing with many different beans, all the Paramour roasts are my favorites.
What is this place doing in the middle of Kansas? Its amazing. Coffee is great, best blueberry muffins in the state, and a breakfast sandwich so good it will put you off fast food ones for life.
I absolutely love this place. Best coffee ever! Theres nothing here that isnt wonderful!!!!
Nice, friendly local coffee shop. Owner roasts beans in house. Recommend: crispy, fluffy breakfast sandwich on english muffin!
They are super friendly and the drinks are great. Im from out of town so Ive only gone here twice but both times I was pretty impressed. They made really good suggestions for me since I had no idea what I wanted, and when I said something about gluten in the vanilla powder they just went back and got the canister for me to read the label. Everyone who works in there is awesome and the coffee is so delicious!
I dont go there often, but rarely have I found a place as consistent in their brewing of coffee as Starbucks. Its locally owned and has excellent coffee options!
Jim is super friendly and roasts some incredible coffee beans. The pour over was so flavorful! It went perfectly with the homemade breakfast sandwich and blueberry muffin. Worth the stop while traveling on I-70.
Jims coffee is not like any others! Once you taste his cup of Joe, no other coffee will ever compare. The staff treats each customer like family, and their made from scratch muffins along with their options on breakfast sandwiches; blows McDonalds way out of the park. I promise you will find your Paramour at this locally owned coffee establishment. They strive to provide the warmth of love within.
Fantastic service, but the coffee is above and beyond. I drive all the way from Lawrence to pick this up, or have it delivered. Wamego is such a well-endowed town. And the espresso is definitely the best I have ever tasted! I think the only problem is seating - but thats expected when a coffee shop becomes so popular.
I was not a regular coffee drinker until I tried Paramour Coffee. I used to get cafe mocha or some other flavored coffee drink because regular coffee wasnt much more than coffee flavored water to me.Now all I need is coffee - black, no sugar or cream - from Paramour. It has subtle flavors and aromas that really come through and the coffee doesnt need anything else. My favorite roast is his espresso blend - a medium roast. If thats not available then its any of the dark roasts available.I was a coffee novice before Paramour and Jim, the owner, provides a wealth of information on the history of coffee - the beans, the roasting, everything. You have to stop by if youre in the area, traveling along Highway 24 or even I-70.
Im a long time Peets Coffee drinker. Major Dickason. Jim, who owns Paramour, was a Peets roaster, before moving to Wamego. Trust me, this coffee is better than Peets. Just had my first cup of his French Roast Sumatran, and this is the best cup of coffee I have ever had! Pure indulgence.
