I recently purchased a 2004 GTO and had all the belts and hoses changed. In addition, I had a noise I couldnt figure out what it was and the guys there were great in troubleshooting even at some expense to themselves. I am very please with their honesty and expertise. They are a top-notch organization. They are now on my go-to list.I recently purchased tires for my Murano and my wifes Pathfinder.They gave me the best deal on Continental tires for my wife and Laufenn tires for my Murano. I cant say enough about these guys at Parmenters...they are my go-to-place for all my car needs!!

Hit a deer last night and needed my car towed. Called and they were at our location quickly and helped make a stressful situation seem ok. The employee was positive and stayed with us until the police came. Talked to us and kept us positive. Would recommend 100%.

Our BMW stopped working on a busy highway. AAA came quickly and brought the car to Parmenter in Horseheads. Parmenter analyzed the problem quickly, spoke with us directly, orderded the necessary part and arranged for a repair as soon as the part arrived. We live more than 300 miles from Parmenter and they couldnt have been more pleasant and understanding that our issue needed a rapid response - which they provided. This car is driven by our son, a student at Ithaca College - which is closing for the semester in a week. Because of the work Parmenter is doing, we will be able to coordinat our sons pickup and drive our car - saving us a more than 600 mile round-trip. I brought my 2013 Town & Country van in for an oil change and to have the brakes checked. They also found a problem with my tie rod that was dangerous. They did everything that was needed in one day- tie rod, brakes, rotors, alignment, oil change, and air filter. One of the guys stayed a little late to make sure it was finished. Excellent customer service, I highly recommend their services.

My-wife an I broke down on Interstate 86, a call to AAA brought us Jesse from ParameterHe was professional, kind and helpful and towed out truck an took care of us, I can recommend this service an driver 100% without fear of contradictory statements. Work was fine, but they did not include all necessary work or parts for my repair with my quoted price.

Called last minute to get my car inspected for the annual NY inspection requirement. Larry was very nice and accommodating. He and the rest of the folks there were very easy to talk to. They were recommended to me by my boss and he had high praises for them as well. Ill definitely will be coming back to do more business with them.

The Boys at the shop are great. Im busy all the time and seem to call them last minute; This time it was right before a big trip. I put off getting the new tires and waited until the last minute. The boys came through getting me in even though they were fully booked.. They appreciate me being a long time 2+decades customer and show it by things like this. I would not have made it to the airport without the new studded tires. I got stuck in a nasty ice storm roads closed trucks on their sides my Subaru with the newly studded tires got me there with ease.. It actually felt like I had the "TIREMASTER" riding shotgun with me all the way!

Major rip off they wanted to charge me over fifty dollars to go half a mile down the road and spend five minutes helping me jump start a car ridiculous scam artists

I really wish they would have checked my truck before working on it cost 160 .00 and ended up selling it to junkyard. Other than that they are great.

I called Parmenter to price tires for my car. I spoke with Ray who was amazing and got me in very quickly. He was very knowledgeable about what could be causing the uneven wear and how to keep this from happening again. They were friendly and fast. The prices on the tires were cheaper than other area shops. I was in and out fast. Thanks again Ray and Parmenter.

Had a flat tire. Pulled into the shop. 20 minutes later they put on the lift. Showed me the nail and the tire. Said they could not plug it. That it was a state law that they couldnt do it. I had no choice to get a new tire and they scam me on that. 174 for tire which was worth $75. Do not go there not a good place scam artists.

Front desk staff are professional and personable. Hooked me up with excellent tires for a car a few months ago. Went back today and I’m able to get the same tires for our other car and was able to get in on a rebate. Quality work, competent mechanics, knowledgeable staff.

Staff was very dismissive and due to negligence of not filing photo inspection paperwork some insurance coverage was removed from my policy. Staff was also looking at my afro-textured hair and making unpleasant looks. Staff did not greet me but kindly greeted other customers. Overall the staff are very unwelcoming towards black people.

While returning to the area to see family there was an incident on the highway due to debris on the road causing major damage to my vehicle. Luckily I was towed to Parmenters in Horseheads where I met Mike Doner. Due to the extent of the damage I was concerned about trusting a shop I had never used before as well as being 4 hours from my home in NJ. After speaking with Mike and the confidence he had in his team to fix my car I couldnt have been happier it was in his hands. The quality of the work and the customer service provided by Mike and his team was outstanding. I knew they would return my 1 year old car to like new condition. Not only did Mike handle the mechanical repair but he also worked closely with and helped coordinate the body shop repair. He provided regular updates along the the way, proactively calling me without me having to call him first. I recommend anyone needing service to go to Parmenters and ask for Mike. If I didnt live 4 hours away they would be my go to shop.

Save your time and hard earned money. These guys do not care about their customers at all. My wife took our vehicle there on TWO separate occasions, the vehicle that carries our two young children, for the OBVIOUS sounds of metal to metal grinding. Each time they “drove” it and heard nothing. Had two techs even look at it, which makes it worse. Blamed it on tire noise. Yeah that’s right, tire noise. Took it to another shop and the front brakes were almost completely gone. Drivers side was gone. Metal on metal grinding. They said there was NO WAY the other shop even looked with the condition because it was that OBVIOUS! They are just lucky nothing happened to my wife and kids. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT USE PARMENTERS! Below is a pic of the brakes and the ground up rotor.

They are basically criminals, overcharged for poor labor, will not allow you to bring parts so they can over charge for parts. If you get tires they do not follow directions and take the tires and then have to hunt them down to get your tire credit only to not get it cause it is shop credit! Don’t use! Do not recommend! They need to learn customer service!

Theyre OK. I didnt really get to stay there for very long. I just stopped ijn for a quick inspection. It was really quick, in and out. They were courteous and professional.

Great service, friendly staff, and fast quality work. Had a flat tire on a Saturday brought my vehicle in and had 4 new tires replaced along with a change of the spare. Dropped it off at 11:30, done by 1:30. Prices were fair and tires are balanced perfect.

Never ever go to this place for a diagnostic. Waited two hours for them to tell me my blower motor was broken, and it needed to be replaced for $900. They also charged me $220 for labor they didnt even do. Not to mention when I left, they didnt put the part back in my car so I had to drive back. Guy at the counter said "were pretty legit". Lazy mechanics are not legit mechanics.

Running a buy 2 get 2 tire deal. They raised prices on them over $100 EACH tire just for the sale! Also when asking questions on different tires they seemed like they didnt want to be bothered.

What an awesome example of exceptional service from start to finish!My truck broke down on the side of the highway and AAA sent a driver out to help. He towed me to an advanced auto so I could repair my starter. Turns out the flywheel was bad. The Tow driver Tom came back hours later to check on me when he saw my truck still there. He helped me figure out the root of the problem and even gave me pointers. He then towed me to their shop for service. I was amazed to see how clean, organized and high tech the shop was when pulling up. The following morning I got a call from the service department to get me on the schedule and all details. They were knowledgeable and were able to get to the truck in sooner than originally discussed. They kept me up to date with the issues with the truck, price and timeline. Awesome work from Matt the mechanic and all others I spoke with over the phone.In conclusion I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone needing service of any type (including diesel in my caseshould definitely give them a shot!- Dave Tirpak

Bought a use truck from Mike Fitzpatrick (tire manager that works therefor 15k that was used for this company. He said they took care of all the repairs/maintenance and said it was a great truck. Turns out it has a blown head gasket after only driving it 800 miles after I bought it. (Exhaust side going into the radiatorGood reason for them to sell it but never told me about the problem. Said he had all the service records to it but couldn’t give them to me cause of a program on the computer wasn’t working. I’d be careful dealing with him. (Or anyone that works thereNot a trustworthy person and the repairs made there might be the same way so If he hid this from me just think what he might hide from you and your car/truck. He also told me a programmer came with it but they lied about that as well. I saved all the text and the original post for the truck listing.

Great group of guys! I took my camper for an inspection today and was very helpful. A lot of information given to me that I was not aware of. Also the guy that did my inspection put air in all my tires. Would give 10 stars if you could. Recommend this place to everyone.

I went to Parmenters to have pictures taken of my car for my insurance. The staff there was friendly knowledgeable I was greeted with a hello and have a nice day when I left. what more could you ask for in a company of great guys

I would give it zero stars if possible. They damaged my vehicle and over charged. This place took so much of my time and quoted me less for items then charged extra when it came time to pay. They ruined the bolts for my tires of my brand new Subaru, my husband had to replace them all, parmenter was the last place to change them. I will never go back. I caution all who seek service here. Sorrowful service

I drove five hours into town for a meeting. As I was getting off the highway I experienced a significant deflation of tire pressure. I scheduled service at Parmenters for the next morning and drove slowly to the gas station to air up the tire to last the night. Wouldnt it be my luck that the air machine was down and the closest one was one more mile away? It didnt make it three blocks before I had to pull over and call their emergency line. I also had a dinner meeting to attend, and couldnt be late! They let me leave my car and information in the parking lot, while I left my keys in a hiding spot. I made it to dinner and the car was towed to their shop for work in the morning. They were able to replace the tire as well as replace a different tire pressure monitoring system sensor. All in all, I received about a 5 mile tow, new 20" tire, and tpms sensor installed for $373 after taxes. Very good price for a less than 24 hr turnover! The staff were very professional and did not treat me poorly, which is something that happens frequently to a petite woman like myself. I would highly recommend their services, especially for business travelers and women. Thank you Parmenter Tire, Auto, & Truck! Ill definitely have my Tahoe serviced at your shop!

We blew a tire in our RV on the way to my daughters birthday camping trip. The guys in the garage are THE BEST!.Problem wasnt a tire, but a brake issue.Parmenters took us right in and got us fixed up. Crisis averted! Top notch service.

We called for a tow through AAA after business hours. Jesse came and towed the car 135 miles with a passenger and had to go all the way back alone. He was professional, personable and cheery the entire way. Its clear that he prides himself in his work and sings the praises of his boss, Ray. They did their best to try and place me in a 2005 nissan armada, but it just didnt work out. I had asked if there was any wiggle room on price due to a few issues with the vehicle, but they were firm. They wanted to try and place me into another vehicle, but I was only interested in the one. Had to walk away

I broke down on a Friday. They made a great effort to get me fixed up and going without an appt. Fast friendly and professional. 2nd time Ive dealt with them and second time in very happy with them. Id recommend them in a heartbeat. Five stars!

Ray Benjamin always makes sure my car gets in on time and if there s an unforeseen issue, it is described to me in terms I can understand and a solution is discussed. I got a great set of tires there which is important because I travel constantly and every oil change has been inexpensive and efficient.

I ran over a wheel lock at 1030 am on a Saturday and had a flat tire minutes later. Within an hour Parmenters had a flat bed at my house to tow to their shop. By 12:30 I was picking up my vehicle. I really appreciated the super quick service and was pleasantly surprised with my bill. They have earned my trust and business and I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Bought an 03 Jetta here and there have been so many things that failed within the first month. Front driver strut perch broke on the 3rd day, two wheel bearings, rear shock cartridges and springs, no reverse lights (how the hell did that even pass their inspectionwindshield washer fluid motor was bad and the lines were clogged, and a bent rim. Out of all of those problems the only one I could readily tell was the front left wheel bearing and the rear strut cartridges. The engine ran fine, but the driver side door had a pretty severe dent in it that was NOT listed in the photos in the posting, and had it listed at $4000. What I would say is that there were more problems with the car that they did know about, but didnt talk about and I think that shows true from the listing, seeing as they were trying to hide the damage to the door to get people to look at the car. The car runs strong thankfully and after all the repairs, is a solid car. I wouldnt recommend business there again, though. After I bought the car it was next to impossible to get a hold of the salesman. Even though we had an appointment made and he said he would be there, he ended up bailing without telling me and going out of town to sell another car and I live almost an hour away so that was pretty frustrating. Just be weary and if you dont know about cars, just keep moving.

I have loved the service from the salesman at Parmenter Auto! My wife and I have bought our last three vehicles and have always been taken care of. The sales people go above and beyond to deliver exactly what we desired!They have found the last two vehicles for us when they were not on the lot in a timely manner. We have had both for a few years and they have had only regular maintenance issues. Will be buying again soon!I highly recommend them for your used car search!
