A Fantastic place for back country skiing! Its got everything from wide flat woods roads to off trail glade skiing to the challenging, "Franzenklammer" trail. Partridge Run an exciting place for Nordic skiing.

Partridge run wildlife is the best state land to hunt walk fish have fun with your family and friends by yourself however you want to enjoy in the woods you can go there and do it is a lot of stuff to do there.

If you use Google maps to get here, you will need to specify where you want to park. It tried taking me to an out of the way location that was not where I wanted to park. I had to drive and find the right lot on my own because I had no phone signal when I realized the problem. Otherwise, its a beautiful place to hike with numerous streams, Cascades and waterfalls. The pond areas had some unusual ducks I was unable to identify. Overall I would recommend it, but carry a map if you have never visited before

Its been years now, but growing up and as a young adult in the Albany area in the 70s and 80s I often went to Partridge Run. To hike, bird watch, picnic, snowshoe... it is a scenic, quiet area of dirt roads, trails, ponds and woods where you can be alone and enjoy the outdoors.
