Pea Ridge Nation Military site is just beautiful. The grounds and sites are immaculately maintained, the people friendly, and it is set up to drive through tour at your own pace with a video app that plays through your phone. This was especially helpful because we were touring with my 94 year old father who benefited from the app that played right into his ears!! And my mom who has limited mobility just watched from the car!! We also saw people on horseback and walking!!

Perfect, quick, FREE historical site with an audio tour that you can link to your car (via phone Bluetooth)/phone & listen to at each stop.(scan the QR code at the visitor center)Easy trails, mostly even & maintained, although there is a specific hiking trail & horse trail available. October was a perfect time to visit. If you are a fan of the civil war, its a great little stop.

It was really cool to be able to see where they fought on the field back in that time. Your able to see the cannons and the weapons they used as well. For me it was a honor to be standing on the exact ground where men fought to make this country what it is today.

An absolute must see! The great thing about this park is that you can complete the tour all by car, or by hike. The outlook is absolutely beautiful, especially if you catch it during prime fall color. Really a gem in the northwest Arkansas area. Will definitely be back to hike. A fantastic place to reflect on our country and state history in some beautiful nature. Highly recommend.

We took a group of 8th grade students here on a field trip. The Visitor Center set up activity stations for our group to rotate through to see a more hands on experience with the war. We were able to see a live musket firing demonstration, participate in a drill of how an artillery unit would have fired a cannon, and go on a scavenger hunt through the museum. The Rangers and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient with the students questions.

very nice visitor center. the employee was very friendly and like to chat and knew his stuff about a lot of the national and state park and other historical sites. i was looking for some items they didnt have in stock because it was a slow time of year. which i fully understand. but there was one employee that went above and beyond her duty to help make my visit a great visit. being from NY i called to find out so information about the park. this one employee (SERENAanswer all my question about the park. gave me as much time as i need and didnt rush me off the phone. gave me suggestion on other sites to see. even mail me information about the park and other information about all the parks in arkansas. she was a pleasure to talk with and the only thing that went wrong is i came to the park on her day off. i was excited to thank her for all her help personally. i told the employee that was working on the 4th of February all about her and he said he would pass my thank you on to her. i hope he did and if not i hope she see this review. THANK YOU SERENA! :)

History! The American Civil War was a rough portion of our history, but is still a part of our history. With Missouri having units on both sides of this battle it truly shows the brother against brother nature of the war.

Had a great time watched the movie. Also went around with one of the rangers there he was very informative and interesting. We were glad we went around with him it would have been boring just driving around and reading the pamphlet.

Friendliest little town in America. Single unit dwellings only; no apartments, duplexes, etc. People still walk downtown. Kids walk to school, dominate the streets with their bicycles, sit on their front porches of an evening, plant gardens, raise roses and azaleas, and foist the kids off on the neighbors for dinner and sleepovers. Last year the High School was #2 in AAA State basketball, football, and academics. The community heavily involves itself in all their schools, finds a reason to have a parade about once a month, and has a tradition of different groups being at the doors to greet the kids in the morning, as they arrive at school. The Mayor and city employees dressed up once, the police department, fire department, and others went and jumped in the lake, in January, iirc, to raise funds for kids projects. If you live in Pea Ridge, you know it is home. Oh, it is 8 miles to Rogers and Bentonville, and a tad further to Bella Vista, six to Missouri, and maybe 20 minutes to Eureka Springs. IIRC, there are 17 lakes to fish within a half hour drive.

Very nice presentation of the Civil War battle. Stay for the short movie and browse the museum. If time allows, then walk a little of the battlefield to get a sense of the history.

Nice visitor center with movie and historical artifacts. Nice one way drive around the park with several stops to get out and walk. Always seems to have reenactors every time we visit. My little granddaughter was afraid of the cannon fire exhibition that was going on. The couple at the Elkhorn Tavern this visit were particularly enjoyable. We had a nice visit as we toured the site.

Pea ridge national military park is one of the best maintained civil war battlefields. Theres valuable history to be seen here. The park rangers are also very knowledgeable and the visitor Center provides a great prelude to the battles history before touring the park.

Nice building with interesting historical stuff. The driving path was really nice as well, we walked the trail back by the tavern and it was really lovely, there are not many signs back there though so if you dont bring a map you may end up walking more than the 2-3 miles the ranger told us it was haha.
