Great place to worship!

This church is truly amazing. Incredibly authentic community and true to its roots. The 2 negative reviews below should not keep you from this fantastic church and preschool. The reviewer that spoke of the focus on the family insert, that this church is not what one would expect from an ELCA church, would do well to understand the history of the ELCA and how this church fits perfectly within the long arc of that history:)The review with the complaint about the preschool teacher/student ratio should also be accompanied by a review of the specific situation it was made in regards to. The administration is highly attentive and responsive to complaints and nothing but honest when it comes to teacher/student ratios. However, from to time there may be a brief temporary vacancy due to a sudden and unexpected loss of a staff member. And/or very rarely parents can be highly adversarial and impossible to please, in which case they are offered the opportunity to look for a better situation elsewhere for their specific needs. If they are upset by this, they sadly may choose to retaliate by leaving a nasty review which is completely unfair. Please try it out for yourself! You will not be disappointed!

All my children go here. So happy to have found this location. My kids (and us the parentsare the better for having known and experienced the teachers at this fantastic school and church.

Based on the sermon and “Focus on the Family” insert, I feel it’s worth warning others that it isn’t what you’d expect from an ELCA church.

Peachtree Road Lutheran Church is a little gem in a big city; friendly and welcoming, with a heart for children, not just at Christmas. Insightful sermons you can remember, musical and linguistic surprises, not a mega church, more like a large family of believers lead by a very caring, humble and wise shepherd.

GREAT SCHOOL I <3 THIS SCHOOL AND CHURCH SO MUCH

My daughter started at this school at 7 months old. I loved this little school, and didnt have any problems. At 10 months old, she moved to another room and every thing was still going well. That is up until I had a complaint. While picking my daughter up, I saw a child almost fall from a changing table, and that prompted me to talk to the administration, about 3 weeks later I continued to see a 6 children, to 1 adult ratio in the class room, and that prompted me to schedule a call with the administration, as they assured me a 4 - 1 ratio. 5 minutes into the call the director offered my deposit back and said I had unfair expectations, and kicked us out of the school. It was a very unexpected, and strange experience, as all of our conversations were cordial.
