First time I ever put in a CLAIM. Daniel handled my claim so quickly. Ive already had my phone repaired and I only reported the issue on Friday. Thank you all so much.
Having dropped my phone in the pond, one phone call and then everything online., very professional and straightforward, with a replacement phone in 2 days.
Daniel was brilliant in dealing with my claim. He was very prompt with replies , explained everything very well. I am very happy with my claim and the reason that I am happy is due to Daniel.
Extremely happy with the service I received. I contacted them on breaking my Apple Watch and the operator was straight to the point and clarified everything I needed to do and sent everything over immediately. Within 24 hours of completing the forms, it had been reviewed and accepted and they explained the next steps. I took the watch to apple to have it quoted and sent this over and again the same day it was approved and transfer was arranged! Extremely happy with all the service and communication I had.
——- update —. I had a quick response to this review by Simon their ops director who was mortified and personally resolved the issues to my satisfactionI have had laptop insurance for over four years with these guys and have paid over a £1000 in premiums....last april just as the coronavirus lockdown started, my wifes laptop stopped working....PierInsurance have no claim lines open, everything has to be done via email ...they provided no support and basically after 2 weeks of trying to get assistance i gave up, thinking ill wait until after the lockdown has eased.Last week my laptop failed, i have raised a claim via email (still no phone linesand i am sat here writing this review on my phone as its the only way i can connect to the internet.I am a key worker and my wife is disabled and I have no faith this will get resolved by them.
UPDATE 3.7.2020 - I had a call from Simon Cox from Pier Insurance to discuss my complaint, and I have to say that he couldnt have been more helpful. He assured me that he would look into the matter and guaranteed me that he would have my phone back to me within 24 hours. I have now received my phone and really appreciate the effort he went to!Thanks Simon!Shocking service. Claim 20777. Reported that I cracked my screen on my phone 9.6.2020. Received confirmation that the claim was accepted and to post the phone to Samsung and to forward quote from Samsung for payment. The quote was £249. They refused to pay as too expensive and I was told to send the phone to them (my costand pay the £60 excess. Which i did. They were going to try and fix the phone themselves (yes seriously!!). Now been told that because my phone was upgraded and i didnt notify them of the upgrade they are disputing the claim (all of this was done through vodafone - and when got my new phone they ask if i wanted to insure my phone and I said yes). Interesting - i never took insurance out with Piers but they have taken over from the previous insurance. 3+weeks later - I am still without a phone. Cant speak to anyone. Takes 24 hours to get response. Quite frankly I wish I never had to deal with them. Awful Awful service. Avoid at all costs.
After writing my first review I was contacted by peir insurance he told he would arrange a doorstep swap for a faulty phone they had supplied it further emails from other customer service employees telling me a different story and still dont have a new handset as they only supply refurbished handsets so make sure you read the small print most manufacturers will not keep there warranty once there refurbished I dont see why I buy a brand new phone then its replaced with someone elses second hand faulty goods peir insurance in est in some hardware and treat your customers like they matter or you wont have any
Worst insurance company ever.I sent them a faulty I phone to be sent 4 separate I phones which was also faulty then to top it off they sent me a phone which I said o did not want.I am going to choose a insurance company next time that charges a bit more for the insurance as they may have better customer services.
I had great customer experience from Pier with my mobile phone which was damaged. Such a quick turnaround for fixing it and the phone is working well. Thanks so much!
Due to an initial misunderstanding I had some difficulty sorting out my claim. This morning however I spoke to Simon Cox who could not have been more helpful or understanding. He was extremely empathetic and understood fully my position. Within minutes everything was sorted to my complete satisfaction. Wonderful customer service - Thank You.Based on a different claim, I needed to contact MPID again today due to some difficulty fully understanding the email I received from the claims handler. I spoke to Julie in customer service and she was brilliant! She explained everything clearly and concisely and made it extremely easy to understand the process. Excellent customer experience. Thank you.
As you would expect from an AXA partner once the required docs were in, the new iPhone 8 Red Special Edition handset was sent out in a very efficient next-day swap system to replace the damaged one. I would certainly feel confident to insure any device with Pier Insurance in the future.
I recently put in a claim through for my phone insurance and had it approved within 24 hours. Every step was explained to me and I found Natascha the person dealing with my claim, to be very efficient within her role.
What an awesome service everything is made easy following instructions on email with info required was a breeze my faulty phone left Friday and they emailed Monday with confirmation of delivery then same day 2nd email dispatching replacement phone which came Tuesday. One very happy customer thank you
Choose another company & dont waste your money getting Insurance with these. Zero if not awful customer service, giving customers the run around for documentation then requiring it again in a different format then adding to the list of documents needed more documents seems they try to try every angle at not paying out to the customer nothing but an absolute headache from start to finish with them . Setting up conference calls obviously you dont have a phone for 3 ways discussions with the provider. Not a hassle free service not helpful. Get your insurance elsewhere. Avoid Avoid Avoid
The customer service that I have received from Pier Insurance has been excellent. Every time I called, I was impressed with the level of empathy and professionalism. The only problem Ive had is the turn around time from process, which I understand is needed but its a week after my claim and Ive yet to have a handset ordered which is frustrating as your mobile phone is needed for so many things on a day to day basis. The person who handled my case though, Talor, was exceptionally helpful and friendly and Im so happy that I had her to make any queries to.
A couple of years ago. I lost my phone on the way home from a party. 4 agents from this place called me asking me mostly the same questions over and over; "When youre out, where do you normally keep your phone?" (in my jacket), few questions later "did you take your jacket off during the party?".Finally, claim was rejected because these two answers were connected and in an ad hoc interpretation to mean I left my phone unattended. "Because if you normally carry your phone in your jacket, that means you always do, and if you did that, even BEFORE you last had your phone, we can throw a policy term at you and reneg on our obligation to help you as a customer. "Ive dealt with insurance companies before, never one as dishonest and ruthless.
Customer service was very helpful All I had was my phone numbrer and the monthly cost of the policy I wanted to cancel (new phone), they found my details, sent an e-mail to check I was really the one I said I was and... the policy was cancelled. Very smooth and very helpful
I have had two issues with my phone that these guys have been super helpful with. Today I phoned and spoke to Daniel who very helpfully explained how to file a claim and immediately sent me a link to the claim page. My claim was handled by Simon who was very quick to respond to emails, and I was able to communicate very easily the problems I was having with the process of my claim and he was incredibly helpful in resolving these. I must have had my claim accepted in less than 2 hours very easily which very much surpassed my initial expectations of this service, as I had been very stressed, which is now relieved! Thanks for all your help 😁
Fantastic service yet again from Pier Insurance, Ive made two claims with both were dealt with quickly and professionally. First claim they fixed the phone, second posted phone to them Monday, email updates of progress and today we have received a replacement phone as ours could not be repaired. Would highly recommend them. Thank you Pier Insurance.
I was most impressed by the professionalism and understanding I received. In fact to be quite honest I was taken aback,as I was convinced that my request would be met on a confrontational basis. Excellent seems inadequate but I sincerely applaud the attitude adopted.
Quick and easy to apply for phone cover just hope if there ever was a need to claim it will also go seamless.so far very happy with the service provided. Thanks .
Experienced a couple of teething problems with the first 2 replacement handsets, both were faulty, process to get them exchanged was pretty straight forward just a bit of an inconvenience as I was without a phone for a couple of weeks.Small issue with DPD not delivering the 3rd handset on time but I accept this was noting to do with Pier Insurance and typical of this time of year.I now have my phone back up and running - so far so good! Thanks for addressing my concerns!
Brilliant service, had a very helpful young lady (Emmain customer services talked me threw the process and kept me informed step by step, I now have my phone back all fixed. Would recommend to friends and family. Very quick service A++++
After a bad start with Pier Insurance due to the length of time it took them to source me a new phone, I have to say that I dealt with a lady called Talor who did all she could to help. Talors customer service was second to none and was truly appreciated.
Pier Insurance/LoveItCoverIt (same thingis the worst company I ever dealt with in my entire life and in my honest opinion demonstrates the very height of human incompetence! On 23/07/2018 I claimed to have my iPhone 6 repaired after an accident that broke the screen and the phone became unresponsive. It is now 3 months later (26/10/2018and the following has happened:After numerous failed attempts to collect my broken phone I had to send Pier Insurance written instructions (no jokeon how to fill out my address on the DPD courier website. I received the following excuses about why they had been unable to collect my phone:Pier put down their own address as the collection point.Pier put down the wrong address as the collection point.Pier put down the right address but put it into the wrong fields on the DPD website.Eventually the phone was collected and when it was returned to me the phone vibrated at random without receiving messages, emails or notifications of any kind i.e. it wasn’t repaired properly. I complained to Pier and I was assured the phone would be collected promptly and properly repaired. It wasn’t collected and I got the following excuses:Pier put down the wrong address as the collection point.Pier simply didn’t know why it wasn’t collected.I had provided my address 5 times but ended up having to post the phone to their technicians myself for which I was reimbursed. The phone was left for a week with the technicians where nothing was done. I had to follow up with the technicians myself. After initially being responsive to my queries on a Friday, by the Monday the technicians informed me they could not give me an update on the status of my phone for reasons of Data Protection. This occurred after I again complained to Pier and told them I would be following up with the technicians myself.Eventually I received a replacement phone and upgrade to an iPhone 6S for the inconvenience after Pier rejected the technicians quote for a repair. Within a month I found that this refurbished phone had an unstable battery. The battery depleted at a rate of 10% in 2 minutes when Wifi and Bluetooth were turned on. I attempted to have the battery replaced at my own expense but was told by my local Apple Reseller that the phone failed Apple’s Mobile Resource Inspector (MRItests due to a failing Bluetooth connection and issues with the battery. I complained to Pier and received a third phone. This third phone now has a touch screen with visible white bands where the glass is of poor quality. The result is a loss of sensitivity in the screen that makes it intermittently unresponsive when typing and the phone scrolls are random speeds when I move my thumb at a constant speed.Receiving one faulty phone is unfortunate, two is coincidence, but a third is nothing less than a pattern. And yet all of these phones passed Pier’s vaunted Quality Checks.I again complained to Pier outlining possible resolutions I would accept after rejecting their offer of a €280 cash settlement. I rejected this offer as it would have meant I essentially bought €280 off Pier Insurance for the price of over €500 paid over three years. I would have been better off lodging the premium into my bank account for the three years.Over a week later I received an email saying that they tried to contact me but were unsuccessful. I was instructed to contact them at a phone number to discuss my options. I had given them my contact phone number on at least two occasions at this point that was not updated. After I requested that these options be put into writing, Pier instead escalated my complaint to their UK Underwriters and informed me that I would receive a response in 6 weeks. So, after submitting my claim in July it will be almost Christmas before there is any hope of a response! The level of service that I have received from Pier Insurance defies belief. I encourage everyone to do themselves the biggest favour and don’t ever deal with this company!
Had my iPhone stolen out of deep inside my bag in Oxford Street, London, 2 weeks ago& emailed Pier that evening to make a claim; spoke to them next day and apart from a little chasing-up on my part, the claim was settled on the Friday and I received my new phone the following Monday morning. I didn’t experience anything negative and can only highly recommend Pier
Great company, in all the years Ive been dealing with them (Since 2013!Ive never once had a problem. They always answer the phone when I call, amending my policy when I get a new phone is always painless & policy documents always arrive before the end of the phonecall! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone
Disgraceful service. Sent my Samsung S7 into their workshop. Received no communication from them to say they had received it, nor that their "process" with these phones is that they dont even attempt to repair them, they simply replace them with a refurbished handset with no box, no paperwork. Received no communication from Pier to let me know that they didnt have my own phone colour in stock and so received a different one. The phone came in a bag with no box or paperwork for the handset nor any paperwork to advise that they had sent me that handset. All seems very unprofessional and a little on the suspicious side.. When I emailed and asked for confirmation the new handset would be insured, ie. confirmation of the IMEI, make and model etc. I simply received an email saying "Dear Miss Lloyd The handset is insured." Complete lack of customer care *AVOID*
Im waiting 3 months for my phone to be fixed, they are useless i will never go with them again ever, and if you think of getting insurance with them you better off not to. You wait ages and you have to sort out everything you self, when they want money they will sort this out quickly but when you finaly claim for something you have to do everything for them
Can’t recommend this phone insurance company enough, they were so helpful when I smashed the screen on my iPhone. The staff are always so polite and helpful when I’ve contacted them.
Very poor service, Ive sent 5 emails already Ive only received one from them instead of getting responses about my claim theyre sending me their offers. Absolute rubbish!Theyve taken care of the matter as soon as Ive posted my review.
I recently had to file a claim for stupidly leaving my iPhone in a dressing gown and washing it at 60 degrees! I was so so glad to have insurance with through Pier Insurance. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and I have a lovely replacement. Phew! I cant thank them enough!
My provider onecom and Vodafone are USELESS! They cancled my insurance without letting me know and thankfully pier insurance have sorted out there problem and now I have a new phone.Thank you to Nicola you was a massive help!
0 stars, this is the worst service ever - completely incompetent. Take forever to get back in touch, ask for information youve already provided multiple times before. Took a month to give me a new phone and then I find out its not even new they only give refurbished models - with 90 day warranty no less! what happens if the phone theyve given is faulty? I dread to find out. STEER CLEAR.
If I could give 0 star I would. They are an absolutely disgusting company, looking for any way to make sure a claim is rejected. Will be cancelling my insurance and moving to a different company
absolutely shocking..the combination of three.ie and pier insurance is terrible. waiting over a week to get them to send a new phone. The only constumer service more incompetent than pier is three.ie themselves..save your money and dont get phone insurance
Awful Service. I have been paying my insurance for a number of years. Dropped my phone so raised a claim query online and attached proof of purchase etc. as requested. Website claims you will be responded to within 48 hours. 5 days later and no response so I sent a message advising that nobody had contacted me and asked that I be contacted. Again the website advised a 48 hour response time. Here we are 4 days later and no response. Why do I bother paying insurance - I cant even get a response from the Company - surely thats illegal!!!
Please NEVER insure you mobile phone via Love It Cover It who come under Pier Insurance. You go to their website to see 4.3/5* rating only to google Love it Cover It Scam to see alsorts of terrible reviews which back up the experience I have just received. Bearing in mind I had no phone for a MONTH, I borrowed a mobile off my parents and used a total of 153 minutes trying to get through to their claims lines on multiple occasions without success. You wait 4 days to receive an email back to be told they dont make outbound calls to their customers if their hold time exceeds 15mins. What insurance company closes at 5.15pm weekdays and not contactable of a weekend?? They sent me correspondance with no postage so I had to collect their letter from the post office collection depot and pay the postage on their behalf, their letters were not even printed on a letterhead. I waited a month without a phone only to receive a refurbished iPhone with a dodgy battery, so had to return it and wait a further week for a new phone. Never in my life I have received a phone via an insurance claim in a jiffy bag with no correspondance , no receipt or proof of exchange, simply a phone in a piece of cardboard in a padded envelope!!! STEER CLEAR, I have filed a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman who have now referred the matter to the Underwriters UK General.. The people who rate this cover as excellent have obviously never made a claim just happy to pay a cheap premium!
i had been a customer for around 4 years, promptly paying my bills, then i found that my premiums were over double i could get else where. i tried over 4 days to contact the group by phone, using several numbers and several sections, and was left hanging for a long time with no answer. i never got to speak to a human being.never use this company, they dont seem to value there customers
Avoid at all costs. (The mobile company 3 use them, avoid and get insurance elsewhere). They are impossible to contact. After multiple emails and queries after filing and refiling a claim there still has been no response. Ive now gone to 3 directly to see can they get in touch on my behalf.
Terrible company. I contacted pier after I lost my phone originally, which took them two weeks to reply as they said they did not receive my multiple emails. It then took them another 2 weeks to send me out a phone as they "did not have a phone in stock" which is baffling for an insurance company. There was not even an apology after leaving me phoneless for a month. After all that they sent me out a phone (the wrong colour iPhone alsowhich stopped receiving phone signal after one week....so I had to Send the phone back and wait another 2 weeks without a phone. After receiving my second phone used it for just over two weeks (I had to charge the battery 3 times a day it because it was so badit was dayjavu all over again as the signal failed again. Im writing this as It aproaches another 2 weeks without a phone with not even a phone call to apologise or a courtesy phone...
Horrible experience. I smashed the screen of my phone and when I got in contact with them they were so rude and not helpful. Three weeks after first contacting them, they still havent managed to get my phone fix and theyre just making it as difficult as possible for me.Its ridiculous that after paying 13,50€ every month over 10 months theyre making it so difficult. As I said, horrible experience and I would never recommend anyone to get the insurance with them.
Steer Clear!! Over a month waiting for a screen repair! Totally untrustworthy and incompetent company. Amazing they are still allowed trade. €13.50 a month plus €75 excess fee to be left waiting well over a month. Modern day COWBOYS!
These are an absolute disgrace of a company and you will be told unlimited cover my arse does not exist, they use every excuse under the sun not to pay out. There staff are so rude when it comes to customer service it does not exist in this company.
Absolutely ridiculous. Sent my phone off to be fixed as screen was smashed but every other function working perfectly. I received what looked like a perfectly fixed phone.. Only to find the touch screen was faulty and froze every few minutes and the speaker broken. I emailed them and they kindly replied and sent someone out to get it for a second time. After all this hassle I got my phone back again and it is the exact same as before I sent it. They sent a note along with the phone saying there is nothing wrong with it when there blatantly is.Wouldnt recommend them one bit.
Never go with these unprofessional goons. Theres nothing good that I could say about these modern day con-artists.EDIT: I still feel strongly about what Ive said before, but theyve given me a phone after a few angry emails and of course its the wrong colour! It could be worse I guess but either way never deal with these pile of con artists!
Whatever you do do not insure your phone with Pier Insurance. They will do everything to delay the process as much as possible. After about 2 weeks of hounding them to fix my phone they eventually sent someone out to collect it. It then took a further week for the phone to be fixed and sent out to me. The phone was returned to me with the screen hanging off at one of the corners and the battery now seemed to be faulty dying on random percentages throughout the day. The process then had to be done again. They fixed the screen but informed me they had nothing to do with the battery which was never like that in the first place.Save yourself a lot of hassle and pick a different insurance company.
Process to replace a damaged phone takes over 4 weeks. A lot of ambiguity around the whole process, customer is left waiting for days on end without any status updates. The replacement phone I eventually received after paying an excess of over $50 had battery issues, resulting in the phone being sent back to be repaired. To speed up the process I was asked to "pick the phone up from the repair warehouse".I would not recommend Pier Insurance.
Have dealt with this company to insure my iPhone and they are crooks. There send at put replacement iPhone 5s for one I had stolen. The phone started giving battery and screen problems.I took it to a ios technician and the phone was a 2 year old refurbished phone giving battery problems. I sent the phone back to pier insurance explaining the problems. They come back to me saying their team found no problems with it and that the phone was being sent back even though an apple store marked it as being faulty.I would NOT recommend to anyone ever insuring with this company as they are giving a poor service and robbing peoples money.
Going through terrible experience with this company!Ive made a claim Twenty (20days ago for a broken phone... after this long wait, finally I receive the replacement for my broken handset...And for my surprise, was delivered to me an older version of the handset that I have covered. After realizing the fact, I contacted Pier Insurance costumer service center reporting to them their mistake. The person who I was spoken to only told me that I had to return the handset to them, and olny after they get it back, they would sort out the situation.I explained, I would have no time to go to post office to send the handset as I work 5 days week during 10 to 19.The person just apologized and said nothing he could do as they need to get the handset back.Just making the story short, I would really recommend anyone to think twice before choose this company as insurance company!
